So this is the most powerful build that we know of in Dragons Dogma 2. It puts out some insane boss killing damage, the footage of which I won’t show for spoilers sake, but trust me, you can down the final boss in seconds. It’s great at killing large enemies, it’s great at killing small enemies, it’s just a powerhouse all around and right now I can’t see any vocation that can match this.

The best armour and weapons are at the Dragonforge vendor, a quick google search will show where.
In terms of smithing style I personally prefer a Magical focus, at the elven camp.

I'm running the Mystic Spearhand's shield skill for the last slot. It's probably the best standalone skill in the game, effectively making you and your pawns invincible if you keep spamming it.
formless feint much better, the shield lasts like 7 seconds and costs a huge chunk of stamina
@@PenguinsAreColdish I don't know about much better, but I can see it being a very competitive option. The main advantage of the shield is that it covers your whole squad. So it depends if you care about a team wide shield or just need to shield yourself.

Something that I've learned is that you can skip the cave by riding a griffin that shows up on the coast of Bakbahtal to the bridge just north of the old mans house

I'm proud of myself as I've been running something similar by myself. Just add in the spear hand for normal fights and Sorcery for boss fights, the magic archer just has a fun skill I like.
I was considering trying that when I unlocked the Warfarer. Did you use any of the Spearhand's skills or just the ones he recommended out of curiosity?

I do this with the Medusa bow in slot 3 to kill mobs for levelling up and try to augural bosses to 10% health and finish them with Medusa for 30k exp on griffins/drakes

I tried this and the levels for the other classes is still really slow.
I've had some good fun doing archer and magic archer combo. I use tarring arrow and once that hits and procs I switch to magic archer and core a immolation arrow and turn the monster into an absolute inferno. It will kill a griffin extremely fast and prevent it from flying for a while
Been running pretty much the same setup! I run Seism on the fourth slot because i hate golems that specifically
in terms of fun, warfarer and mystic spearhand are insanely flashy and cool
but in terms of endgame dps, magick archer (ult), sorc, and then thief are broken. magick archer's ult for instance takes life but by using 70%+ hp, it one shots the final boss so i don't think it's a problem esp since you can just do it from a very far distance while your pawns and aggroing it
I do mention this. Theif though takes time to kill things but is very hard to kill. This is just good in every situation.
you can also craft the booze, need red wine, and tose lizards tails that drop from tose giant lizards you kill on your way to hove village, now tose lizards do spawn in other places, so you dont have to buy the booze.
I already had one bottle and duplicated the other two at checkpoint town
This is awesome, utilising that skill on sorcerer with the fast attack of the magik archer is a great idea. Personally dropping spellhold for the mystic spear hand bubble
drop spellhold and quick cast augur. use the slot for ricochet shot to instantly clear all caves and tunnels

yessir, Augural Flare is busted. its also really insane with the core skill on mystic spearhand that lets you infinitely twirl you staff around by spamming x ( has an absurd hit count if the enemy hitbox is large enough to his with both staff ends per twirl).
Not really since the flare has a cap to the amount of explosions it can do, which is between 7 - 9. You can get it fully charged with just two basic MA shots. You also don't need to be point blank to hit it like you do with the Spearhand.

This is a great use of Warfarer. Some people say the class sucks and is useless and other say it is the best. Really you need a very specific build and combo in mind to use it well and you have certainly done that here.
Or just be a master of all vocations skill is a huge part
This was my thought. When the Warfarer was first shown off I figured it would be the ultimate endgame vocation, then saw you could only equip 3 skills across multiple weapons & thought that sucked.. Now I realized after playing that several classes have 1 or 2 insanely OP skills like Sorc's aug flare so now I'm back to square one with a warfarer magick archer/sorc build similar to this that's just absurdly strong.
I don't kill things this fast but at almost level 80, the frostbolt magic archer skill, and spamming light attacks from heavens key daggers, basically nothing has a chance. Also, saggiate avalanche is a mini cheat code...
Beat me to it, I was going to put a similar build together tonight. I wanted to test it with Tempest Shot from the Archer though as I think it could out DPS this with Tempest Shot as long as you are accurate enough with hitting the flare.

It won't though. People keep assuming that the Flare's power scales up infinitely with the number of hits, but it doesn't. It caps at 7 - 9 explosions, and you only need to hit it twice with a fully locked on MA basic shot.
Cast candescent orb then swap to sorc and cast augural flare as the orb is ticking rapidly
you can give him all 3 at once, I tried it because I thought it wouldn't work, but it did!
It's funny that most of your fights end before the explosions even start
Question about warfarers defensive mechanics, I haven’t unlocked it so I’m just curious. Do they have block/dash permanently or does it depend on the weapons equipped? Like if I use daggers am I dashing but if I switch to sword and shield am I still dashing or am I blocking now?
Weapon based
If you use mystic spearhand you can halt enemies with a fully charged bolt before you put the flare on.
Remove spellhold put on high seism(golem nuker) now you can literally take on anything in the game without dreading a long fight or needing to change anything.

Yes warrior actually feels powerful in DD2. DD1 felt lacking.
Ive been using this skill paired with the thiefs skull splitter for days now, makes me wish there were heftier enemies now, but ill be trying this out in place of that for sure
Also a neat interaction ive learned is the medusa spell ow you can get if you load its damage into this spell and the explosions get the kill it seems to consistently give the massive exp boost through the spell as if the bow was doing the damage so hey test it out!?
just unlocked warfarer and havent really set on a build but using sorc/mag archer/thief, covers unique locations + damage + thief just so i can quickly deal with a certain boss and get their head
You can give him all 3 at once. Gave him stack of 2 second time i talked to him since i had extra, still finished quest
Whirling Arrow for those who prefer the standard Archer to the Magic one if they just want to delete certain enemies quickly, but not stay ridiculously over-powered the entire time because the standard Archer is relatively weak compared to every other class in the game and really needs the combinations skills to function particularly well and an augment from a Mage doesn't hurt since they don't get a bow that's enchanted.

An archer is not required for flare. It is enough to simply cast it on a vulnerable spot and then shoot it with a staff - a corpse.

i did similar, but different skills.. don't need rearmament, you can pause and switch weapons manually, so you can have 4 different attacks.
thus far i have the "guided missile" magic archer skill i can't remember the name of.. it has so much range i can drop groups of small targets with one shot (also use it to 'scout" ahead sometimes)
sorcerer blizzard spell, which one of my pawns also uses so we freeze most ogres and cyclops..
thundermine, i was already thinking of switching to the magic archer one, now i definitely will.
and i forgot the other archer skill i use... probably going to change to that exploder (i think my pawns also has it)
pull with the missile usually, pause to switch weapons and do a blizzard and thundermine, then switch back to magic bow and fire away..
the thief helm splitter, especially with a ring of skulldugery (bonus damage if behind the enemy) had me so tempted, it is big damage if you can hit it right on a cyclops / minotaur / ogre. but i don't want to switch weapons THAT often.
Augments you use?
I can't seem to find the answer online, but as a wayfarer melee, what by stats are the very best equipment? I have summoners crown which is seemingly better than dragonforged offerings which makes me wonder if some equipment is better

Except trickster. I mean it kinda works too but it's gimmicky and you have to build yourself and your pawn around it.
There is only 1 OP class, Magic Archer. Martyr's Bolt is busted. With so many non sleep ways to clear the loss gauge you can 1 shot anything in the game, except the pink slimy boys in the endgame. But surprise they are weak to ice so Frost Seekers destroys them and can target any part of them without even being able to see it.. Magic Archer, like DD1, is totally unbalanced lol.
It's called soliciting. It's forbidden everywhere except on UA-cam and it gets views.
I agree kinda I feel that's why there's only the 1 save file. There's enough game to upgrade and enjoy all the characters. Warfarer in MY OPINION is op, only because u can mix characters. But it's also kind of a treat for grinding to get to him.

My wayfarer is all support. Aromatic resurgence frum the trickster. Soporific bolt frum the magic archer. Palladium frum the mage. sustainment and ascendancy augments.
This is off topic. Been playing mostly blind. But is there an NG+ and does it increase difficulty? I spent all my money on my sorc pawn the other day and it is absolutely nuking everything I fight. I feel like I'm the pawn and she's the arisen. Lmao
It doesnt you one shot everything
It’s not really new game plus, but you are able to start the game again with your arisen and main pawn with all their gear/stats + what ever you have in your storage. But no the game difficulty doesn’t change at all. The only gameplay change you’ll get is the weapon/armor vendors having all the vendor gear in the game. The only way atm to increase the difficulty of enemies is through mods.

Yeah best way to increase is via mods... but also don't use cheese builds or cheese the game and be like , why so easy?
I've seen so many people be like, "I build the most meta and cheese build with the most op meta cheese pawns, this game is way too easy." Don't get me wrong, it'd be cool to have difficultly sliders, arena and hunt modes where you could fight and or hunt particularly more challenging creatures, but for now this is what we have.
I started as a fighter, then moved to warrior. I didn't max the fighter but compared to warrior the game was more challenging, but in a different way. Same with Archer. I didn't stick with it because I actually died just moving to the next objective. Everything gets stronger as you level it. The game is a power fantasy. But some classes definitely provide more challenge.
I'd say leave the mage out of your party or only bring 3 pawns, period. Then maybe 2. Then maybe 1, then solo it. When you are soloing the whole game, you have won and are the true gigachad arisen.

I mean, yea, sure, Augural Flare is OP as hell. You don't need to combine it with anything other than a sorcerer's basic attack for it to be a boss killer.
Yes but then you miss out on the power of the Magick Archer. You can kill bosses well, like I mention at the start of the video, as a sorc. But you're not good at anything else.
The basic skill from the sorc usually always misses and hits other areas. Especially on bigger mobs.

Thief is the best. With a mage who heals and slows stamina loss. If you get a blessing of formless feint from the the guy in the old shrine, you can basically use the skill constantly and are as a result, un-hittable. Plus is the most fun imo
The grianmhar can be purchased in NG+ only.. I do not have the option to buy with Wrym crystals. And I have no idea how to start a NG+. Im still trying to get the platinum in a single playthrough. Do you have any other suggestion of magic bow that can replace that?
You can buy it in your first playthrough.
You need to do the "True ending" for the vender to have the best gear to be available.

They definitely need to bump up the auto difficulty situation or add hard mode… around level 20 or so I felt strong but still needed to think bit past 30 I’ve just been in god mode. Wiping bosses in the unmoored or whatever has been a bit of a let down though maybe I can just switch to fighter since I haven’t leveled it at all yet when I get home and have a temporary hard mode
They added a hard mode in The expansion for the first game
That's how I'm rolling right now. Saving the classes I don't want to play for last. Making the hardest part of the game (area) as a mage. Jus mastering them all b4 I rock sword and bow or staff and sword
no limitations in character building is a huge limitation in game replay ability

LMAO, this is the exact build I came up with on my own. Mainly because it does two things: A) gives you THE best boss killer in the game through Sorcerer, as well as the Mage/Sorcerer traversal options, which unfortunately the game is biased towards when trying to get Seeker Tokens and B) circumvents the Sorcerer's biggest weakness when not actually killing bosses. Which is their general clearing sucks, especially for single target other than just spamming High Levin. Their AoE skills really are not worth it at all either for most things other than using Seism on Golems, but you can just get away with using Flare/Blazefang/Sagitite on their weak spots.
The MA basic attacks also lock on to where you dumped your Flare, so you don't have to worry about the stupid targeting issues Staves have, where you can put something on their head, but then the staff targets their leg non stop.
You get Ricochet Hunter for caves/dungeons and you can use basic attacks, Sagitate, or even Blazefang for your final skill. Blaze is better for crowds, while Sagitate is better for single target.
Why not stick radiant orb and then cast bomb?

Best class can be defined by many other things besides one shotting enemies. So I don't see how best class applies to this game in general. I'm going around mastering every single Vocation.
I wanted to make Strider.
It's just an awkward class. Your weapons should change automatically when you hit an ability. Plus this way you can equip 4 skills.
this doesnt work ive tried numerous times and the augural flare orb dissipates before i can even pull out my magick bow. im pretty sure this is patched
While this is a fun build, Skull splitter deals way more damage and maxes out Augural Flare faster than MA base attacks. Use Frosted Edges for magic damage daggers and you're melting anything in the game super fast.
Was planing same combine it with rogue, but takes time to reach head of monsters. Dragons it’s faster but for the rest MA or pure sorc is easier to hit the spots
Is there a melee version? I don’t wanna make the game easy mode with this, this is the equivalent of using an op mage on elden ring just 1 shotting everything
Dont forget the mod that lets you have 3 moves per weapon equipped. :P as it should have been to begin with
on playstation 5 if I aim with the magick bow the magic mine disapear

My luck is the two vocations i dont have leveled up are sorcerer and magic archer. Everything else but trickster is maxed lol. Guess ill need to keep playing a warfarer basically pure thief build for a while longer.
This isnt working for me at all. I cast Augral flare on the huge ogre, right away switch to my bow and the flare just dissapears
What to do, shoot the flare a couple time with the archstaff then switch, it’ll make it last a bit longer. Also maybe put the flare where your pawns can reach

I use a similar build but i use normal archer with a spiral arrow

my problem is, augural flare tend to go away for no reason. especially after i change weapon

Mystic spear hand, put shield, Archer frost bolt spam. Once frozen. Switch to Archer or their and blast away .
Augural flare is already OP on the Sorc itself. Just cast the flare and shoot with your basic attack on it. It might not be as strong but instead of one augural flare you need maybe 2 or 3. Still simple shit.
the sorcerer i played killed the final boss in under 48 seconds
Could you not just equip flare only on your pawn and just use a full blown magic archer or thief
same combo but i play 7 weapons ;D well works also ;D

Magic archer has always been the best especially in first one because you can dual wield and also have daggers
Sorc alone is much stronger. High levin kills small enemy with a fast cast. The mastery spells destroy bosses faster than any other class in the game. Add another sorc pawn to mirror you spells and nothing is stronger.
High Levin doesn't kill trash nearly as fast as a simple magic bow spam, and the sorcerer maister skills do far less damage than a primed flare.
That being said, meteoron shits on golems.
I don't think this works anymore, switching armaments causes the Augral Flare to go away

So I have 1 addendum to this build. I really like throwing in Mystic Spearhand as a third/off weapon utilizing Wild Furie to clear out trash and the spinning move to strike at the ankles of a fatty after triggering the sorc bomb. I also feel better about using 3 weapons on Warfarer, just feels more natural and correct

My augural flare keeps disappearing like extremely fast sometimes
You or one of your pawns have to hit the flare pretty quick or it will disappear. Gotta be quick to switching weapons and hitting the spot.
For me, Mystic Spearhand is more powerful than Warfarer. Im only level 55 and I'm ganking everything as a Mystic Spearhand.

@@callia8877 You use the vocational skills of the weapon you're currently using, so if you just use a duospear then you're just a Mystic Knight but with a bit weaker stats and no access to the meister skill
@@heyimanameheyimalastname not worth it for me then. My strength and magic are both over 900 and the Meister skill is OP for me. Can take an ogre down myself with just a few bursts.
@@callia8877 Of course, it's a terrible way to play just 1 class if that's all you care about. The other guy was just saying it's a great way to level up all the other vocations just by playing the one you really want to play
People really think Warfarer should change vocations and have all 3 available slots for each weapon you switch to, that will basically make every single other vocation useless in the endgame. The only fair change i think can make it better is getting rid of the skill for swapping and just use the sheath/unsheath button to switch weapons, this will create a 4th slot. I don’t think Warfarer is meant to be an all in 1 vocation but rather a dual vocation where you can have some fun by switching between 2 vocations and recreating old vocations like Strider,Magic Knight and Assassin. Feels like people were expecting an all in one ultimate power.
Between the lower stats, only 3 skills, no maister skills, and the need to level the other vocations to use effectively, it feels as if they over corrected for balance. Warfarer should be all powerful dragonborn with it being the crystallization of all your efforts, while taking away the maister skills since your not specialized. Still a fun vocation but just a bit hamstringed

I'd like it if some of the skills weren't tied to weapon type. I like the limited skill slots, but I wish I could mix and match some more to create a proper custom class. For example, using some Spearhand abilities with a sword.
