Rooted in history dating to the settlement of Petersburg Kentucky, Boone County Distilling Co. aims to revive the distilling heritage of Boone County, Kentucky. The tagline “Made by Ghosts”, refers to the spirits of the founders of what started out as the Petersburg Distillery. From the late 1700’s into the early 20th century; Rev. John Tanner, William Snyder, William Appleton (Snyder’s son-in-law), J.C. Jenkins and James Gaff laid the foundation for what Boone County Distilling Co. is today.
