So much is going on in this episode! No Dad's were harmed in the making of this episode. What did you enjoy the most? Norman gave me permission to set up a GoFundMe I hope to be able to start with replacing them rotten windows! gofund.me/92e40ebb
I enjoyed the whole thing, but what I liked the most was seeing the three of you painting together in the lovely sunshine. Norman was so cute and it brought a giant smile to my face! You’ve helped him come back to life again. Bless you Ben and Dad ❤
This is the best therapy you are giving this man. You are inspiring all of us. We need more people like you in this world. Your dad is amazing as well. He's putting a smile on us. God bless you Ben.
Grand jobs, they all add up. So glad you got the neighbour's help and were able to reciprocate. I loved the Trolley Cart Entrance, the garden chair "renovation" but the best was the 3 of you painting together. Keep up the good deeds and the humour guys 😁
Your concern about this going on longer than anticipated is unfounded. This is what people need to do. Help those who are less fortunate. Not necessarily with money but time and labor. Maybe you may know some others who might join in and do some more permanent house repairs. This is one of the best things you've done and there is still more there, especially in the garden area. Might even get your boys involved to learn about helping other. These have been some of the best things I've seen you do.
So good to see Norman moving around, smiling, interested in life again because you and your dad took the time with him. Making his property nice, safe, and special again. Bringing your friends and family to him and shining a light into his world he is happy and loved. His sweet neighbor bringing lunch for you all reminding Norman he is not alone in life! And helping the kind neighbor with a driveway clean! You are just spreading love every where you go! So glad you made us all a part of this! Thank you Ben!
Delighted to make a contribution to comfort and warmth for the lovely Norman. You deserve to enjoy and be independent in your home. Thanks flawless cleaning for giving the opportunity to be part of the team.
Your kindness to Norman warms the cockles of my black little heart. Your Dad is amazing as well. Norman is actually alive again, not lost in depression and just shuffling through his life. His delight over his clean chair was so cute to see. Just having one person to care about him and notice how he was having to live has helped his mental health amazingly. Bravo and well done, you are my favourite You-Tuber! ❤️🇨🇦

Omg,your dad is class, his entrance was hysterical, seeing Norman help was so lovely, and you cleaning neighbours drive because they gave you teas and bacon butties, just shows your beautiful nature, you, yourself always returns kindness,if everyone was like this with each other, the world would be a better place, another brilliant video Ben.xx

As a 70 year old myself , i know what it's like to be alone. It's hard when you own your own home, and all you have is the basic pension. And little in savings. When things go wrong you have to have a contingency fund , for when things break . Things like windows, cookers, roof leaks, electrical malfunctions, washing machines. They all cost money , they all cost hundreds of pounds. Your money can only go so far , i save every week , don't smoke , drink , have holidays, or buy new clothes, i grow my own fruit and veg to save money . I do have children but they work , or live far away , so most contact is online or phone. Your kids are so busy bringing up their own families and working all hours, their time is all tied up , they don't mean to forget you , or visit , it's just how life is now. Us oldies just get on with life, it's easy to fall into that downward spiral of doom and gloom , and you don't know your down , till your down . That's what happened to me . Things got worse for me after my parents both died as i was a carer for them for 13 years. You get used to caring for someone, you have someone around to chat to . Then suddenly it goes quiet . You have to find ways of dealing with the loneliness. I just threw myself into the garden , my passion anyway , and i'm considering getting a small dog , having had many dogs in my lifetime. What you do for Norman is brilliant ! it doesn't take long to lift someone from the doldrums . All we need is a smile, or a hello when out , at least it makes us feel like we are not ' invisible. We are still the people we used to be, when younger . I love football, rock music, keep up with politics , i'm into ufo's, do diy , all be it a bit slower , and more stops for tea , lol but inside , we are still us . I have just donated to Normans go fund me page , his windows are awful , to be honest his whole place just needs a big sort out , we don't have the energy when we get older , and some of us are unsteady and not as strong as we used to be, so keeping up with maintenance of the house is difficult . At sixty, i cut down a 30 foot tree in the garden , a willow , so still trying to do stuff . But yesterday i cut through my hedge trimmer cable , lol , felt a right twit ,. I have a new one now, battery one, much safer . 🤣 Come on everyone, lets get donating and get Norman back on his feet . Well done Ben , you and your dad are angels . xx
Wow, NORMAN'S CHAIR LOOKS NEW! hope you washed away some of his depression with all the things you did for him, The railing is wonderful so he doesn't fall off & gives kind of a private patio, hope the rat problem is cured. Just being around you & your dad is great medicine for Norman!
Ah, Ben. You and your Dad make such a grand team generously working as hard as you do to help others in so many ways. Norman's spirit has been lifted and what a gift that is.

Loneliness is a real issue in today’s society. Glad you could let Norman know that he is not alone. Love seeing Norman getting involved with the chatting and painting session!
Firstly, that was so funny with dad at the beginning, what a change from the early days when he wouldn't say anything on camera, its brilliant. Cannot say thank you enough for what you are doing for Norman, what a difference you have made to his life, and a lovely gesture cleaning the neighbours driveway. Its great that you have set up the go fund me acct, hopefully it will raise enough for new windows before the winter kicks in. Great job all, brilliant. Cannot wait for the next time.

You’re not just giving a hand out but hand up. You’re not just doing things for him but changing his life. Like I’ve said before when we’re dead and gone people remember how we made them feel never how much they spent, social status, what we drove, where we worked, all the things people obsess with. They remember how we make them feel.
Real excited to see Norman helping out! Definitely pleased that he seems to be perking up. Very thankful Norman agreed to a Gofundme page. His house needs a bunch of work. I’m a retired nurse and I know how hard it is to get things done on a limited income. I’m very fortunate that my insurance covered most of my home damage as it is believed to have been caused by storms. I can’t donate this minute but I fully intend to contribute with my next disability check. I truly hope and pray that all of you receive blessings for what you are doing. Too often the elderly are just forgotten about. Edit: Could someone donate 3 or 4 of those plastic stacking chairs that he likes? They are pretty comfortable to sit in and this would allow him to have a visitor or two spend time with him in his back patio. Thanks!
Watching "the lovely Norman", and discerning his graditude...reminds me of a sign my mom had on her door. "To the world you may be one person.. But to one person, you may be the world." Continued blessings to you and yours
I'm really loving this. I see kindness is contagious. Now the neighbor is included. Maybe after Norman is a fixed up you could find someone else with problems like this. It's just been heart warming. It was lovely to see so many people have already contributed to Norman's go fund me. I bet it's met by the end of the day. Norman is on the way to a come back thanks to you, your dad and others who have helped. ♥
I enjoyed seeing Norman outside helping. His day had purpose. Your Dad is hilarious, love him🩷🩷🩷. Ben your family is beautiful, their smiles are contagious.
This has been such a lovely and inspiring series. You and your Dad have really gone the extra mile! Wishing Norman all the best. He's such a sweet man and having taken care of my elderly parents I can relate to him on that level. I will say i think he has better stories than i ever will. 😂
Seeing the change in Norman in every video is remarkable. You and all of the helpers have gone well beyond a normal helping hand. Thank you for all that you do. ,,👍🏻
I've stopped watching the news and only watch this instead (along with other stuff that motivates me). My mental health has improved so much. Good on ya, Ben and everyone.
This is one of the best channels on UA-cam👌 I hope you understand what these wee visits will mean to Norman. His pride will still be screaming at him, but he's learning it's not charity, it's a helping hand👌
You are so kind and respectful to Norman. You are patient and listen to him and make him feel so valued. In return, you do that to your viewers. ❤❤❤❤❤. Love to you and your family.
Well Norman's is coming along a treat, and he's putting his mark on it. All doing an amazing job and looking after the neighbour as well. Brings people together. Boys having fun,Theo on his bike and Arthur riding shotgun. Adorable as ever. ❤
Your boundless kindness is inspiring ❤ Thank you for allowing us to experience your acts of kindness and caring of others. Bless you and your dad. May you prosper and enjoy all the fruits of your love and labor. ❤
As an elderly person myself, it is amazing to see you at work as a kind friendly helpful giving guy. I know what its like to need help and feel a bit hopeless when i cannot do certain things. My heart is smiling. 🇿🇦
It’s amazing what you and your Dad and others have done so far in helping Norman. I’m afraid the inside of his house is going to be another huge job (if he lets you in). Good luck going forward.
Your Dad knows how to make an entrance! 😂😂 Norman is not the only one who has come out of his shell, your Dad used to barely say hello now he’s doing stunts! 😂
What a treat,a midweek video ,I often wish you did more than one a week just love watching you and your dad brighten people’s lives . Much love and gratitude to you and your lovely family 🙏❤️🙏 your little boys face on the bike , you’re a great dad
Ben your dad reminds me of my dad. That was the kind of stuff he would do on days off from work. He called it play time. Bless you and dad for helping sweet Norman! Love to you and your family from an old grandma from Indiana USA 💕
You and your dad are top bricks off the chimney, it's amazing how you go above and beyond to help people. Love how Norman is coming out of his shell and his house is becoming a safe home again 💖💖💖💖💖
Here it is Tuesday after dinner and I sit down to watch the newest video from my favorite British influencer, Josie. No, wait, Ben has posted another "Norman" video - gotta watch that first!!!! There are some very nice homes across the street from Norman's house - those homeowners must be nearly as happy as Norman to see the improvements you are making to their neighborhood. Great work, Ben. Hello from South Carolina.
It's so wonderful to watch how much your dream of helping people has grown. The glee on Norman's when he was able to help paint was incredible. He looks so happy. I also loved the inclusion of you cleaning the neighbor's driveway. Positivity is infectious. Your circle of supporters keeps growing.
Wow! Just wow! Ben, you and your Dad are just fabulous. From the fence (Paul can you come and create one for me), to the white garden chair to the drive clean for Steve. Unbelievable! You are such kind hearted souls helping Norman as well as all the other vulnerable people in your community. Seriously, when will you be receiving an award for your dedication and help. 🤩 Great Little Family too! ❤️
These kind people are amazing they deserve all the luck in the world nothing is to much trouble for them they are so good at what they do can’t prays them enough I wish them in all they they do if only there were more people like them god bless you all and keep you well bless ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Norman has a special place in my heart. He is funny, intelligent and a very caring man. You and your father have made a huge difference in his life. The cleaning is essential, but the heartfelt caring is what is making all the difference. I am definitely going to contribute to his Go Fund Me.
That was the best entrance to a video I have ever seen. Your dad makes me laugh so hard I can barely catch my breath!😂 Good to see Norman helping out. He has definitely come a long way thanks to you and your dad's caring hearts. Bless you all 🙏
Dear Ben: You and your Dad have certainly helped to improve Norman's life. You have lifted his spirits and made him happy. Thank you both so very much. God bless you both. Arthur will be a champion cyclist!!!!!
Did you know that Your a ray of sunshine 🌞 to those in need 🌟😁 I love your dad he's so sweet 💗 Please give our best to Norman And Thank you so much for helping Him aw thank Your mum for the Shirts for Norman that was very kind Truly bless you 🙏🏼and your wonderful family 🥰🙏🏼💐
A little kindness and compassion can go a long way. Not only have you let the light back into the garden, but Norman has light back in his life with a wee twinkle in his eyes.
Look at dad showing off his skills! The rail looked amazing! So nice of you to clean the neighbor’s drive to repay their kindness 😊 Norman dying of thirst 😂 In other words I’m heading to the pub see you there 😂
Wow, this episode meant 27 minutes to chill, laugh, enjoy, feel good, reflect, be inspired. From dad's grand entrance and on; I couldn't help but to watch the white chair segment a few times; Norman's reaction to it and the many ways he's regaining his real self in this whole process is pure joy to watch; and now helping with wood stain I think will do wonders for himself. Well, the kind neighbor got exactly what he deserved, well done guys! And the outro, I saw myself in Arthur's flying joy! And finally, great idea about the gofund me.
Lovely that you've set up a Go Fund Me page to help with the serious problems like his windows that are okay in the summer but must be so hard to cope with in the winter. Happy to donate.
Wow, Norman is like a new man. Just shows what a bit of help plus care and companionship can do. So nice to see him out and getting involved with the posting. Your dad did a splendid job with those railings. Much safer for Norman now. Theo is so fast in his bike now - rocket boy! I love how enthusiastic both the boys are and how much they enjoy the speed and movement. Having fun and making memories together - just the best. They will remember fun with dad when they are grown up! Have a lovely week Ben 😊
I'd wager that Norman being able to help you paint the new railing and fence must have given him a nice, warm glow of accomplishment. Not only have you made his home safer and lovelier, but he got to help make it bright and beautiful. That ought help to buck him out of his depression, that wonderful "I did helped; I did that" feeling, more than can be expressed in words~
Watching the improvements made my day. Bless you all for your hard work and compassion. Bless the neighbour for kindness too. All the best to Norman, enjoy, you deserve this!
AW I loved this one too! Kindness spreads and even Neighbor Andy got some return love for his generosity and kindness! (Momma & I always made sure anyone working at the house wasn't hungry or thirsty.) 💛Love that the car is squeaky clean, his favorite chair is pristine now too. I loved that Norman was involved in painting/staining the new wood railings Dad put up like a boss! Dang he does good work. Looking forward to the front door colorization soon. BEAUTIFUL job all the way around! Big Northwest greetings from here to over there! 💛🖤 Stacy's Artful Heart
One of my fav videos by far. Not only are you and Dad doing extraordinary work but having Norman help was so inspiring. He gets to contribute, be one of the guys, feels sincere care and knowing he counts to someone has brought such a remarkable change. Love you and Dad's comedy, 😅 but you know what shines through ? The obvious joy doing what you and Dad show, it makes my heart fill.
I am LOVING this "Norman" series! You and your dad are amazing - hardworking, funny, kind. What a wonderful blessing you are to Norman! The GoFundMe was a good idea. Love the family outro. Cheers, from Syracuse, New York, USA.
You and your Dad,are the kindest people,we need more of you in this world!!!!!Bless you both, hearts of gold! It sure would be nice if a Cleaning Service would offer to clean inside Norman’s home, that would help him out even more!!,CHEERS “ MATES”! 🥰💞👍👏🇨🇦You go ABOVE and BEYOND!!!What you did for the neighbour was remarkable, returning kindness!! You are raising two boys also, that will be “fine gentlemen” ,,someday just like their Dad and Grandpa!!💞🥰👏👏
By the way , your kid on the bike with you going so fast , was so good to watch, boys do like their speed, lol you have a wonderful rapport with them both , we need good parents in this day and age , that teach kids the right things, that interact with them and show how to be kind towards others . x
You and your dad are so compassionate and a true blessing for helping Norman. I am glad you are helping to fix up the urgent issues on his home and property as well as tending to the things that are important like cleaning the chair. It is heartbreaking to see the condition of his home, especially the rotten windows. I am so sorry your dad was injured when making the video and hope he recovers well soon. It was nice to see Norman helping and you returning the favor to the neighbor’s generosity by cleaning his patio. Thank you, your family and friends for all that you are doing including your mother for the shirts given to Norman. Your boys are a true delight and love spending time with dad. Arthur looked so happy and thrilled with the bike ride!
Hey Ben. Having a few beers tonight and UA-cam suggested your most recent video in the "Norman Series", on my home page. I didn't want to watch the fifth installment first, so I went back to the first one and watched them all. I subscribed to your channel and upvoted each video I watched, so I hope that helps out just that little bit. As an American, East Coast landscaper, in my recent past, I have to mention a few things I appreciate and a few things I'm jealous of. Firstly, the "jealous" stuff... mostly, the weather! I'm used to 95 degrees Fahrenheit and 90% humidity in August, so I'm definitely envious of your latitude and "gulf stream influence" weather. Never saw anyone in the five videos I watched, chugging a gallon of water so they don't collapse from heat exhaustion, but it would be a common sight where I live :) Also, all the vines where I live are usually poison ivy, not to mention the poison oak and poison sumac. Then there are the ticks. Ticks everywhere. Just brush up against anything and they're on you in an instant and without your knowledge, crawling to your nether regions, then digging in. It's awful and can lead to serious health issues. Then there are the mosquitoes. Relentless bombardment in the morning and early evening, to the point that you can't even think straight - also a serious health risk. As far as the appreciation goes, I love the square-point shovel work. That's the most useful tool in any landscaper's arsenal! Also, I now appreciate the word "bramble" much more, haha. I had no idea how much crap like that grows in your climate. That's truly a monster of a job to tackle that amount of "entanglement" :) And, the narrow English roads necessitating such small vehicles compared to what we can use in the States, made me appreciate the volume of debris you've dealt with, that much more. The amount of scrap, garbage and brush you pulled out of Norman's property would have taxed even our bigger vehicles. The fact that you did that with your "inhibited space" vehicles, was seriously impressive. I would have liked to have seen more of the practical aspects of that waste removal endeavor, personally :) I love the attention to detail and pride that you, your dad and your mates, give to the property you're working on. I have the same attitude when working on a job and appreciate it when I see it in others. The end result truly justifies the hard work and it's something to be proud of. I could teach you a bit about hedge trimming, but that's only because I have the experience of doing it for years and years :) Well, to wrap up, I love what you guys are doing for Norman! Seriously back-breaking, hard work, for a good cause there and thanks for sharing. It really warmed my heart. I'll be watching your videos in the future! Cheers, Sev PS - Norman reminds me of an older version of the Mark Gatiss character from League of Gentlemen, "Les McQueen" and his Creme Brulee band :)
What a wonderful video- lovely to see Norman out and helping paint. I was quite moved to see that he had tried to spray paint his fence himself. It may have been a bit of random red spray paint but I think it symbolised just how much of a change having some help and company has made to him. Also I’m glad to see Norman has a kind neighbour looking out for him as well! 😊

Thanks!
Thanks for the kindness, I did give him 2 better chairs in one of the other videos but he’s very clingy to the white plastic one bless him
Mate you are Helping the whole block !!! 😊😊😊
I’d love to help as many neighbors out too, then they could check in Norm for time to time 😊
@@FlawlessCleaningServicesIt'd be lovely if they came round in turns for a cup of tea each day.

Cheers Mervin! Appreciate you watching!
Love it when you're father helps 😊
Watching "the lovely Norman", and discerning his graditude...reminds me of a sign my mom had on her door.
"To the world you may be one person..
But to one person, you may be the world."
Continued blessings to you and yours
Thank you Kristine!
I’m glad others can relate with Norman and send him lovely comments like this..
I absolutely LOVE what you are doing for Norman. So wonderful.
This is one of the best channels on UA-cam👌 I hope you understand what these wee visits will mean to Norman. His pride will still be screaming at him, but he's learning it's not charity, it's a helping hand👌
An old man who is as strong as a young man I feel a lot of respect for him 🥰
You and your dad are just the kindest people on the planet. Our planet is lucky to have you both.
You are so kind and respectful to Norman. You are patient and listen to him and make him feel so valued. In return, you do that to your viewers. ❤❤❤❤❤. Love to you and your family.

The neighbors are all going to be calling you! Two houses in a row looking that good make the rest of them need some cleanup too! Good job man
Just donated, you and your dad are lovely people helping out Norman.
Your Dad knows how to make an entrance! 😂😂 Norman is not the only one who has come out of his shell, your Dad used to barely say hello now he’s doing stunts! 😂
You and your dad our beautiful people we need more like you in this world ❤
You and your Dad are changing Norman’s life for the better. The neighbor is getting more involved. You’re impacting the neighborhood.

I wish more people would help others like you do. You go beyond helping you are an inspiration.
I can't decide what's better: the transformation, or your Dads silly hi-jinks.
Ben your dad reminds me of my dad. That was the kind of stuff he would do on days off from work. He called it play time. Bless you and dad for helping sweet Norman! Love to you and your family from an old grandma from Indiana USA 💕
😉Bid ‘ditto’ on this one fellow Hoosier❣️
Thank you for helping out Norman. The bike riding with your little man was awesome.
Bless you all 🙏
I’m just overwhelmed in a very good way to tears! The Golden Rule is at work and love for neighbor! Awesome!❤😊
Dear Ben: You and your Dad have certainly helped to improve Norman's life. You have lifted his spirits and made him happy. Thank you both so very much. God bless you both. Arthur will be a champion cyclist!!!!!

Shirts for Norman that was very kind
Truly bless you 🙏🏼and your wonderful family 🥰🙏🏼💐
So happy to see you helping Norman!
A little kindness and compassion can go a long way. Not only have you let the light back into the garden, but Norman has light back in his life with a wee twinkle in his eyes.
Look at dad showing off his skills! The rail looked amazing! So nice of you to clean the neighbor’s drive to repay their kindness 😊 Norman dying of thirst 😂 In other words I’m heading to the pub see you there 😂
Your kindness to Norman is amazing Ben and Dad, you can see the difference in him already.. hope the go fund me goes through the roof! 😊👍🙏🏻🥰
Thank you Pedro! Love the kind words and your support as always
It‘s a joy to see you interacting with people and especially with your kids. God bless!
This has warmed my heart, what a wonderful world it would be if we all lived this way helping our neighbours all helping each other. ❤
Ben, you and your dad are constantly going the extra mile for people. You two bless everyone you meet.
Your one of my favorite comments. I'm new to watching.but I just love the whole idea of doing this for people.lovely....

The love and compassion you have given to Norman are heart warming. Bless you and your family for the love and friendship you have given him ❤❤❤❤

I am LOVING this "Norman" series! You and your dad are amazing - hardworking, funny, kind. What a wonderful blessing you are to Norman! The GoFundMe was a good idea. Love the family outro. Cheers, from Syracuse, New York, USA.
Proof positive that one act of kindness leads to another! Wonderful, inspiring video Ben!
Norman is a superstar!! Much love and big hugs from Tennessee!!! ❤
I would have liked to have seen more of the practical aspects of that waste removal endeavor, personally :)
I love the attention to detail and pride that you, your dad and your mates, give to the property you're working on. I have the same attitude when working on a job and appreciate it when I see it in others. The end result truly justifies the hard work and it's something to be proud of. I could teach you a bit about hedge trimming, but that's only because I have the experience of doing it for years and years :)
Well, to wrap up, I love what you guys are doing for Norman! Seriously back-breaking, hard work, for a good cause there and thanks for sharing. It really warmed my heart. I'll be watching your videos in the future!
Cheers, Sev
PS - Norman reminds me of an older version of the Mark Gatiss character from League of Gentlemen, "Les McQueen" and his Creme Brulee band :)
We love this series on Norman. And your dad is funny, awesome, and a real stitch!
