Jack! Just felt compelled to mention of metamorphosis - if you ever do any autobiographical reading of Kafka, you'll notice that metamorphosis and the trial are essentially an inadvertent confession of his life. He had a very minimized sense of self from childhood trauma and it (naturally) manifested in his writing. He actually asked his friend to burn the transcripts before he died! Might offer a new perspective if you look into him more :)

Elie Wiesel is one of my favourite authors. He just has so much wisdom and I feel like I learn so much and gain braincells from reading his books and his descriptions and imagery are just incredible.
14:04 I've read this book twice, once for school and once voluntarily. I literally sat in the same exact spot on my dining room floor for 3 hours reading and annotating it cover to cover. The scene that really gets me is towards the end when one guy is playing his violin in the snow😭😭
I have liked this video even though I'm 10 seconds in but I already know that I will like it because he talks about books
I'm just so amazed you can remember almost every book. That's as incredible as the amount you read!!!
“it is a lesbian love story” me: buys the book
These videos are dangerous to me! Such a span in genre and themes and time period, and I AM HERE FOR IT and my TBR list is getting very long......
No one:
Literally no one:
Me as a BiBliOphilE: writing down the titles of all the books he said were a must read
Me too
Samee I have Amazon open and all those 5 stars are just - 'add to cart'
As you should. 😌✋🏻
same here lol
i haven’t read any of these , and won’t have time to read till like july but it’s so fascinating to listen to him talk about books ....this is how i satisfy the bookworm in me 😔
I came across this video and now I have a bunch of screenshots so I can look for this books.
I really liked how you summarize everything!
You should do a video where you review your own book for 10 minutes straight as if you haven't written it
Just to see how much you can say about it
I have been looking forward to this so much and you did not disapoint! I want to read so many of the books you talked about, I've been thinking about picking up Beloved for awhile and I think this was the push I needed.
This video could've lasted 3 hours and I still would have enjoyed it. I just really like to listen to you talk about good books. It always makes me want to read right away.
the boy, the mole, the fox and the horse was given to me on my 21st birthday by a family friend. it was my first birthday after losing my mum, and it’s such a beautiful book and really hit me hard at the time. would recommend to everyone.
The real question is: how on Earth does he manage to remember everything about every single (except one actually) book he reads? I've just finished reading a book and I already forgot many of the details.
i assume it’s just notes on notes on notes lol, and then he probably complies them for whatever video he is making
He said he had his goodreads reviews in front of him so that's why ;)
