The "hole" in the exhaust manifold is a heat riser to warm up the carburetor quicker. It also means you have the stock exhaust manifold.

You should really enable "steering non-linearity" in the settings if you drive with a keyboard. Makes cornering a lot easier by smoothing out your inputs.

To tune the car better speirs, basically all you need to do is adjust your air/fuel ratio, carburettors, rocker heads, timing gear, and distributor correctly. The air/fuel ratio, carburettors, and rocker heads needs to be adjusted while the car is on. Your air/fuel mixture is too hot Speirs (your car keeps backfiring and it has dark smoke coming out of your exhaust) the colour of your exhaust should be clearish smoke with a little bit of white in it or if you have the gauge installed it should be between around 14 AT SPEED. You'll need to adjust it once your engine is warm. Or another way to perfectly tune it is by taking the hood off, going to the highway and see how fast it goes, correctly tuning it will make it go faster.

I prefer turbo's personally but that's just because I love the noise they make, albeit I did have a Jag S Type R that had a killer supercharger whine, my current Audi TT has a great turbo noise. Hard to say I guess.

A turbo is driven by the exhaust gasses. A supercharger is driven by the engine. A centrifugal supercharger is also driven by the engine but it's basicly a turbo.

Super chargers give more even boost across the board but turbos take a second to spool up so it doesn’t help at first but then it gives you a big power boost after a certain rpm
You can buy in the magazine the mixture gauge and the carbs are tuned with the screwdriver with the engine on.
I wear sweaters in the summer too :D
Speirs, you must have the steel headers insrtalled if you have aftermarket carbs. Also your cluch inspecttion cover is off
