These 'discussions' without trying to push a topic are SO MUCH better to watch. Produce more vids like this one! This got me interested in what was being said over trying to just find the 'POINT' of the video. I was SO MUCH MORE ENGAGED in this one! Others I tend to skip through.

This is one of the best, most informative, discussions I've seen on this channel in a long time. Great knowledge from both of you. This is the kind of info everyone needs. Great job!

    Great video!
Why doesn’t wwc or brs carbon dose to deliver the goods to the corals? That’s the next episode I’d like to see on investigates! Dumping nutrients in tank to keep up with true coral demand. Ie switching salts to syn-biotic/bio actif to witness the high turnover of nutrients generally witnessed in the natural coral reef 0 no3/po4.

Firm believer in the nitrates. Corals weren’t looking that good so I did a Hanna nitrate test in the afternoon and it had changed from 3.2 last Sunday to 0.0 then added esv nitrates and corals looked better by late evening.

Great vid there's so much misinformation that 0 nitrates is what you need, I've had mine sit naturally around 15 for a while and love the result.

Great discussion as always! So does Victor know what his NO3:PO4 ratio is? If he's aiming NO3=10-20 ppm then per what other folks have measured a 100:1 ratio the PO3 ~ 0.1-0.2 ppm?

Watching on the beach, my nitrates where 2 and .75 with henna checker so would be safe to feed more

What about red field ratio then....10 nitrates is 0.1 PO4 so why push PO4 super low close to zero. Im confused now.

if you put amino do you still need to run higher nitrate? Because probably it give same results?

I have a 60 gallon tank with NO powerhead. I have a protein skimmer, but now I see I need FLOW. WHAT powerhead do you recommend for a 60 gallon tank? Preferably not a pricey one:( I have three fish because my clowns kill everything else. Waiting for her to die before I add more. I have two corals that are doing great. I think...

.08 phos or .4 phos. I’ve seen extremely full successful systems with both.

Dont know to who yo listen anymore. LOU from TM at macna said corals dont need nitrate and needs phosphate and here you are saying nitares and not phosphate. Im lost. Great episode by the way

It’s not that they don’t need nitrates, they just have a good mechanism of sucking up the nitrates. A poor mechanism to intake phos, which they need either insoluble and or bacteria loaded with phos. The question is which form of phos is preferred by the polyp….Trojan horse!

@@joshuavild6999 good answer i think TM now has a new product that has a type of phosphate that can be absorbed by the polyps.
