- Josh's office tank is overgrown with acropora corals. This makes it difficult for him to maintain the tank. He decides that it is best to transfer all the acroporas to a bigger tank and setup a separate frag tank to keep everything else. Before This drastic move, Vic and Josh gives one last update of his beautiful reef tank.

Josh, just proved it again that you don't need to do a lot to maintain an SPS tank. Simplicity at its finest. This is why I respect you guys for really showing us what's going on under the hood. Mistakes and all is so helpful for us reefers and teaches us valuable lessons. Thanks for this video guys.....See ya soon!
Thank you so much for the support!
its still a lot of maintenance, i work 11 hours a week on mine
that frag tank is awesome josh
Josh is a beast !!
These guys are the best
That's a beautiful frag tank.
Also, very good conversation. I appreciated the fact you're willing to constructively criticize each other in front of the audience. Showing where you identified mistakes speaks volumes, and is one of the best resources we [reefers trying to learn from you] can have. Thank you
We want to keep it as real as we can!
Love josh roasting vic
Wait till you see what he has to say about my bubble algae farm!!!
Love watching every single video y’all put out . I learn so much . Thanks
Thank you so much for the love and support!
Awesome
Thank you Tommy
The corals look incredible. Its funny that you call this tank over grown, its just a large amount of tiny frags all placed on top of eachother.
They are small, the problem is not the size of the corals the real problem is I'm addicted to collecting. I am making frags to force growth in opposing directions. That being said it's only 12 inches of space from front panel to back, probably not the best choice to begin with. Soooo.....this is what's next.😂
Yea!!! Let’s GO….
I’m drooling over the zoas in the new tank! I’ve got to know what the ones are with the orange center and green skirt just above what looks like bloodshots 1:40
Hey Vic/ josh before I say anything else I’d love to know what kind of acro that is at ( 8:43 ) in this vid? This whole tank looks amazing josh and I love that u manage this system in a way that the average consumer can easily replicate (it may not produce results as great as this initially due to biological factors like u mentioned in the vid) but with consistency time and patience I think ppl would be surprised to see just how simple an acro dominant system can become. Ill be looking forward to seeing the next update. I also wanna see more of that 4x4 frag tank! Great vids fellas 🍻
Thank you for your support it means a lot! The acropora is not something we have sold yet. It's a Spath variety I think it's cool and different as well, it's just not super bright.
Simple is fun
Interested to see how Josh’s move goes. Doing the same soon myself to my Reefer 350 that Victor came out to film a few weeks ago. I ordered a new 200g tank replace it. I’m really nervous about making the switch and messing up a good thing!
Josh will be documenting the move so keep a eye out!
What methods does WWC use to wipe out bubble algae & aptaisia and how will you avoid transferring those to the tank?
Show us the update by RAP Orlando...That would be a great idea.
Can Josh share the light schedule for this tank? I know he has shared others before.
Can we get light presets
Need a frag of that rainbow st thomas!!
Anytime just send us a message to contact@worldwidecorals.com
The color on that Spathulata, located on the left side, is beautiful. I would love to get a frag of it.
The yellow colored spath is the one we call pineapple pen. It goes up in the site rather regularly. As a matter of fact I can have customer service give you a shout and fix you up with a piece how about that??
Hi Messier87_M87, please send an email to contact@worldwidecorals.com and I'd be glad to cut you a pineapple pen acro frag! - Alex
Josh not sure if you’ll see this, suggestion on raising alk slowly? Currently dosing but think I have the same issue? Have some corals bleaching from maybe extra dosing? Also have some Cyanobacteria starting, any suggestion’s?
Depends what you are dosing. Most frequently if you are experiencing bleaching at the same time as cyano, this would be related to a carbon source. Be cautious if product unless you know exactly what they are.
@@jdearel1 dosing calc, mag, alk. What are typical causes of carbon in your opinion? Are you saying that dosing carbon would be beneficial to help cynao/bleaching
I like this video
Thanks for the feedback
Thank you so much
I love all the frags but would love to see huge colonies instead of a bunch of tiny frags on top of each other. I would love to see the acro tank in system 11 I think it was… that’s an amazing tank. I NEED an update!
Yeah it is a bunch of small frags. But I have a collecting problem, hence the new tank. It needs some space to grow. Tank 11-750 needs some time to shoot. However 12-750 is stuffed full of acros now that is worth a video they are all large colonies.
@@jdearel1 make it happen Josh!!! Love y’all’s videos!
@@jdearel1 hey man one question for ya. I have researched Chris Meckley PH kalk method and I am super nervous. What do you think of this method? Would you prefer just basing kalk off alk? I want alk the success you have but I need a little guidance from the best to do it… thanks
@@tannerbradford7233 his method doesn't differ much from mine honestly. It's a method as old as the hobby really. It depends on your uptake, the easiest way is to set a constant pace of alk solution as a form of top off. This fixes two problems but it will bring your all up if there is little to no demand, best applied if there is already all demand
im in a debate on getting Hydra 32HDs to replace my redsea 90 OR go with the Radion G6 blue.....ugh looking at this tank those hydras look good.....and i love the shimmer. ugh idk...help!
This tank is actually green 4 pro radions. The AI blue color is my all time favorite blue. You can't go wrong if you went that route.
Oh nice so gen4 radions on that tank….the local shops around me have the AI setups so I haven’t seen an actual radion in person….
@@Cblindxpwell I guess you are going to have to come see us in person!!! Maybe make the trip for Reefapalooza Orlando in the spring.
@@jdearel1I wish I could…up here in frosty Rochester NY lol. I went ahead and picked up 3 G6 in blue and then also the XR15 high intensity radion lens kit to experiment a little bit. Love what you guys do it’s great appreciated, entertaining and knowledgeable so thank you! Merry Christmas! 🎄
Can you guys document how you guys actually do the transfer? As well as how you plumb the two systems together I am going through the same move from one to two tanks but i want it to be one system
Nice tank though josh it looks awesome
We are actually.... There will be another video soon to show the process. It's a tight space under the tank so it should be pretty interesting.
Keep a eye out Josh will be doing all the videos for it.

What's the substrate? Did you say gravel?
I call it that, but really it's just reborn calcium reactor media by TLF
@@jdearel1 - thanks for the reply. It's that I have gravel, I need to change it to something else.
Guys I was wondering that it was not mentioned. What’s the phosphate and nitrate in the tank
I use the salifert test. I shoot to not have any tint of blue at all. If I was to use a Hanna tester it generally test 0-.03
@@jdearel1 👍👌

Record everything even the transfer of corals
Working on that now
TOO EASY!
Are you Italian reef mafia boss?
Don't say that out loud lol
You are reef godfather bro @@WorldWideCorals

👏👏👏
Too many frags in my opinion.....this reef needs at least one or two years to be nice
Agreed it is just frustrating, I'm used to working in much larger workspaces and I'm not a fan of using long tweezers to do everything.
Back before #Ford ruined the Super Duty’s. The horrendous redesign has ruined the body lines. Use and ridiculous bed and bumper steps. Goofy looking front end.
