I have owned the 1953 (Rolex submariner homage) and 1975 (Seiko tuna homage) for several years now. I wear them every day and I love them. An unbeatable value for money. I will soon receive a 1957 (Omega seamaster homage) and no longer wear anything else... You were unlucky but it's an exception.
i got my sd1953 and im loving it. great quality. no faults. extremely accurate. i just bought the turquoise one yesterday. cant wait to get it! currently wearing the green one
Me too, the SD1953 is perfect! The Oyster bracelet is the only thing I would replace. Keeps perfect time. It replaced a Pagani Coke watch. Using the Pagani Jubilee Bracelet.
Same issues I encountered recently with SteelDive watches. Bought two SD1953 on the last June sale, one Starbucks and one black, both have stem problems out of the box. One the stem came loose and would not adjust date or time but winds, the other one the stem will not pull all the way out to the second position. Last year I bough a SD1970, a SD1975 and a SD1953 none have problems. Agree SteelDive needs to step up their QC game here.
They have stepped up QC several times during the last 3 years. These issues happen nowadays to a minimum, just like with most of the well known/ way more expensive brands!. Trut me, I have done a lot of research on this particylar model! God bless.
I have two Steeldive, a Doxa Sub 300T copy and the No Time To Die Seamster. Both of them came in immaculate condition. I think Steeldive did have some quality control issues, but that should be more a lemon type of thing instead of being the norm.
Well... From a former seiko collector I can safely say... This happens with any brand you can think of. The Quality control of this things is waaaaaay better than seiko's.... And bulova... (these are the ones I can say for sure, but even rolexes have a lot of issues... Misalignment being one of them)
Exactly the same thing happened to my Orient Kamasu just one day after it arrived. I have two Steeldive watches and both are fine and have given no trouble whatsoever but brands like Orient, Steeldive, Pagani Design and others do at times have quality control issues, it would seem. Returning should be no problem but such experiences do tend to put us off buying more watches of the same brand - once bitten, twice shy. I will not buy another Orient watch and I guess you will not buy another Steeldive!
I have a Pagani Design chronograph that was gifted to me by my Dad. Apart from the lume being below average the watch works very well and looks very nicely finished for a Chinese watch. Maybe I was lucky.
I am sorry about your bad experience, buddy! You simply got a 'lemon"! It does happen from time to time even with well known watch brands. This happened to me back in 2008 (with my second Rolex purchase back then. Yes, a brand new Rolex Date 16610. Oh yeh!! However, it was quickly resolved! Now, with the SteelDive brand this issue does happen, but to a minimum! Trust me, I have done lots of reserach on this brand... I also have 8 friends that have been ordering SteelDive watches during the last 2 years, and not an issue at all! My self, I got 4 of these SD1953 watches with different bezel colors, and they are made of incredible quality! I have picked them apart internally, and put them back together again, and these are very solid watches all around! No complain here whatsoever! So here is no reason for you to try to stain this fine brand! Finally, I am happy that you got a full refund! God bless!!
I was with you for most of you post, but I don't get why you felt the need to say he was trying to "stain this fine brand". He has simply relating his experience and I see no reason to suspect him of anything else without evidence.
With a Seiko movement... Sapphire glass . Ceramic bezel.. and milled clasp?. .. yeah .. ok . 😂 How to say you know nothing about watches without saying you know nothing about watches. 😂

I have got 5 watches of Steeldive. Among them 2 watches of SD1953. There are no any problems. I heard about this issue my first time.

@@CL-sp2yv I read in a review that the bracelet on Steeldive watches caused allergies and skin redness... Is this real?
I just bought a SD1975 from an authrozed steeldive shop and the QC is perfect.
Thanks for the clear, concise and informative content. Subscribed.

Same problems with 2 of my steeldives. New crowns have been purchased. Pagani design have similar problems.
thanks. that was literally my next question
No issues with mine, but about to order another so will update if there's any issue.

I had the 1953 smurf, after a couple of years the crown failed to lock into the crown tube and I had never Iver tightened it
Just ordered one today, it cost me €61,-. I hope it's okay, if not, your video will be very helpful. 👍
Hey, did the new stem solve the issue?
1:28 Man that Sucks. They Just should replace the Watch.
I have the Hulk in this watch, no issues at all.
This will be my next one 👌👌
I received mine, but mine doesn't have that fault. It won't change the date itself I've to do it manually which makes the date function unusable.
You buy on the cheap from a dodgy dealer you won’t get the same quality. I got mine from Amazon for £120. Not a thing wrong with it. A great watch.
I ordered the 1953 and 1993GMT direct from the website. I don't mess with that Ali Express stuff. Sorry about your watch.

I only buy Swiss or Japanese watches.

1:27 Thats not good.
I'm afraid that if a watch costs around £125 what can you expect in terms of quality?
A functional watch I would assume
For 125 people get decent watches with amazing specs. What makes you assume that 125 is not enough?
You have just bad luck.. its passible with ever brand
just got mine last friday and hopes it wont happen that one
Any update?
Just change the stem…
nh35 wouldn;t be steel dive guy thats movement
so serious
It was a $12 watch when you started 🤣
... and obviously still is..

Are they even available these days?
@@kenweller2032 of course . brand new . not the old, the soviet , which can still be found
@pdriver7269 lol lol lol lol ... and these crap are not rubbish . amphibias are 50+ years on the market . they have stood the test of time
Worst watch to recommend. I’ll take a Invicta 40mm auto pro diver over that trash
