If they would bring it back and make a new game, I think they would make the skylanders digital meaning you need to pay for a skylander that you would like or if you already have skylanders in the past you can use it in the game
@@SideTomatoYT I think that is likely what they will do because making another toys involved game would be pretty risky, but I personally hope they don’t do that because I think Skylanders would lose some of its like magic if wasn’t a toys to life game.

I agree I think that hurt them a lot because there was no need for that many different versions of the same Skylanders, especially in games so recently after like I get wanting a new version of fan favorites later like doing a series 2 in a game that comes out years later, but they literally had some that were in Spyro's Adventure than gave them a lightcore and series 2 in Giants which was ridiculous.
Here's my hopes for Skylanders remastered, updated rosters with all Skylanders playable in any game, Console, and 3DS game are playable in game A or Game B, most NPCs gets promoted to playable Skylanders, recycled levels get repurposed depending on what game you are playing, (Trap team unlocks new villains to trap like from 3DS adventures, past adventures, and from adventure packs, ) PVP returns, online play,

However, since we aren't sure what it'll be like yet, I've decided to work on my idea for bringing back the franchise, but in a spinoff! So sit back and let me tell you about my Skylanders spinoff game. I call it: *Skylanders Eclipse* It is a spinoff that *solely* focuses on the dark and light elements. Why, well ever since they were introduced in Trap Team, Superchargers and Imaginators, they overall had the *LEAST* amount of skylanders! So, not only will my spinoff bring back the skylanders franchise, but also give the dark and light elements more collectional variety and love/attention! The roster will be 32 total (similar to the SSA roster, but also includes the "gimmick"landers) (16 each) and will consist of Eight Core Skylanders One Giant Two Swap Force (new swappabilites will be Gravitate and Rhythm) One Trap Master Two Minis One Supercharger One Sensei (Light Bazooker and Dark Quickshot) Here's the storyline: the main villainess is: *Empress Eclipta* she was once a standard Drow Witch who her and her Drow legion served under Lord Kaos! However, as Kaos failed to conquer Skylands, she then went off on her own to find another evil plan to rid the Skylanders! That's when she stumbled upon a book that contained eclipse magic. First, she started practicing solar magic, later on lunar magic. After her years of mastering eclipse magic, she then began her true intention: merging both the sun and the moon together in creating a total annular eclipse so powerful, it'll *eradicate* all of Skylands! I'm also bringing back PVP battle mode, Heroic Challenges, Swap Zones, race zones (excluding Land since it only associates with Fire, Earth, Tech and Undead), basically *everything* from the past six installments, but put in a dark and light standpoint. Lastly, Knight Mare, Knight Light, Spotlight, Blackout, Astroblast, Nightfall, Aurora, Starcast, Blaster Tron, and Hood Sickle will be playable in the game. So, what do you think? Please be honest.
I agree I think the purchase of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft is great news for Skylanders! Wow in all honesty I actually love your idea it would be great for the light and dark element not only to receive more figures but also to get stuff like Giants and Swap Force versions. Also, the storyline sounds really good having a new exciting villain could be great. Reintroducing the older modes is a great idea and out of those I definitely want to see PVP battle mode again it was super fun. Also, I almost forgot to mention I love the title and I think it would be very fitting for this game. The only thing is I doubt they would choose to do this just because I think they will probably bring back all the elements and do one gimmick per game like the old games, but even though I doubt they would do this I think it is a great idea and I personally would love to play it. I actually am planning on making a video going over my idea for a future Skylanders game and some of the ideas you have are the exact same as me like bringing back old modes like PVP battle mode.

But since Vicarious Visions doesn't exist anymore and they go by "Blizzard Albany", do they still own all the Swap Force and Superchargers content? Or were they given to Toys for Bob?
Make it so we need to get figures to unlock the characters but, not for levels. If we need to pay more on top of the price of the game to unlock all of the rest of the levels after only two levels then it’s a huge scam.
Yeah I just thought about that after seeing the Toys for Bob news a little bit ago; I am still looking more in to it though and I don’t think this completely kills of the chance of a new Skylanders game though.
And there better a skylander who’s an elephant/woolly mammoth that would’ve been in one of the previous games I been dying for type of animal for years 🐘 🦣

Only time will tell but I am willing to spend more than 500$ if another sky landers game were to drop
