Caleb, just wanted to say thanks for this. Ordered the Impact C-Stand which arrived today. I now really understand the difference. Had an inexpensive but not horrible light stand. The C-stand is in a completely different class. Now to get the cash together for your sound blanket panels. One at a time. One at a time.
ANOTHER VIDEO!!! LIKE 4 in a week or something???!?!? Caleb, it’s just like the old days, really loving the ability to see your face all week long 😉. This new setup seems to really make you happy.
DSLR Video Shooter I appreciate u doing it this way because I love your videos. but wow you could’ve spread out all this content if you really wanted to. but I guess the more u posted from that new studio, the more questions you would get about it
If you've never had a Cardellini/Mathellini clamp before, do yourself a favor and get one (or five). Once you start to use them, you'll wonder how you ever lived without them. Lots of great info in this one (as usual)... :)
This week I did a lighting demo for my students and they have a lot of pushback about the amount of work! Well, yeah...if you care about what you’re doing. Excellent video here and great light quality.
This video came up again on my suggestions. I gotta say, I’m even more impressed with the intellytech panels. You could make a grip & lighting truck out of your compact hatchback. 😄 Just put a stand rack on the roof for your c-stands, baby stands, 6’ ladder, etc. I might have said this elsewhere, buy I’m very pleased you’re getting into “big frames”. Even better outdoors, because you can use them as a bounce, you can mount an overhead silk. If you’re shooting an interior and the window is blowing out, throw a net on that frame and position it outside the window. Make sure the camera isn’t focused on the net, of course. Way easier, faster, better looking than putting ND gel on the window.
Congrats on your new studio! Must be nice to have extra elbow room. Can you comment on how the Intellytech Pocket Canon compares to the daylight version Aputure LS20 light? I'm looking for a small light to use for hair light and accent light, and curious to know how these two lights compare. My main interest is knowing how much light shaping can be done with the barn doors and fresnel focusing.
Love it. And congratulations on the new office. Thank you for always sharing. You’re an inspiration bro. You deserve everything that comes your way. Continue to strive! 🙏🏿
HI Caleb, I would like a video request pls. In Hong Kong, we typically live in very small apartments. We face the challenge of limited space to shoot and to store away gear, so a compact, quick set up and easy to store away set up is needed. Would you be able to do a video on this? To give you an idea, I have no office and my dining area is a foldable table that doubles for a work area...about the size of a small double bed. Hope this is worthwhile and thanks in advance.
Wow, thank you Caleb, so many good tips. I was looking for so much information about grip and i hadn't heard of Intelitech or Impact and so many elements of what i'm looking you are recommending. Thank you for your work, really helpful!
Hope you're having lots of editing time during COVID-19! Definitely THE BEST all-around UA-camr, ever. Thank you Caleb for all the information you bring to us and the hard work you put into these videos. We feel your love for what you do!
Man every video in the series is getting me more and more hyped for what's to come! Also Caleb, if you start making some lighting heavy videos or even bless us with a lighting guide, that's gonna totally change the game. Anyways, keep up God's work and stay awesome dude!
I was considering the 120D but the in Intellytech lights are convincing me. We are in a small space. 8 foot height. 18x11 room... I think those are a better choice over the 120 with the dome. Any advise or recommendations?
Thanks once more Caleb for this huge and amazing video ! You seems to be really energised by this new venue ! It's really refreshing and useful. Cool ! ;-)
Fantastic video! Love the new studio.Congrats! I would love to see a video just on the flag kit alone. Might be very interesting to see how you would use a flag kit in the era of dimable lights and RGB.
I've also used Impact C Stands for a long time and love the turtle base design. However, I recently bought a Matthews rocky mountain leg c stand and OH MY GOD it's SO much lighter than the Impact one. I think about a 5 pound difference.
Hi there, almost pushed the Paypal trigger for the 2 lights 2x2 LC 160 kit as main lights, yep such light a package but... Duv = 0.0034 (ur numbers), compared with a Duv = 0.001 for an A 120 D. So, 3,4 times more the A 120 D deviation from pure white. Will follow feedback. As main light, didn't really wanna take the risk. Second lights... Will look forward. Hope u'll go on the pro market some day, like Westtcot, Aladin & compare them to the mid level.
Great as always 👍🏼 lighting is probably my fav topic! The intellytech pocket mini is so cool! Now I wish they made a 100+ watt version in a similar form factor!
Any advice on whether to go with COB (Aputure 120d or Godox SL-60) and lightdome style soft box vs LED panels (like Intellytech or Falconeyes) bare or plus soft box - for a relatively static vlogging set up at a desk like this? I have a reasonable amount of space, so squeezing in lightdome not impossible, but I really like the idea of being able to fly lightweight lights higher up. A cleaner, tidier and easier to move set up would be a bonus, but top priority is just great light. Love these vids... no end of inspiration, just gotta decide and jump in!
Wow ive been waiting for a video like this for the longest time impact has a lot of cool clamps, stands and other accessories i just dont know why people dont do videos about this company, the quality is good and the price is affordable... Very cool video thank you for sharing if its not too much to ask can you make a separate videos on how to use the flag set from impact im planning to buy a set too. Thank you so much
Thanks! Perhaps I will do a review. In short, they are awesome for the money but MUCH heavier than the road rag kits. Love the size and everything seems to be working well so far. Pretty heavy duty stuff.
