I upload new videos every Tuesday and Friday to help women over 40 who are tired of feeling frumpy and want to have fun with fashion again.
Like others who have commented, I have a wardrobe that reflects my classic, minimal, rule-following, matching style. Problem is -- I love everything in my closet and have too many choices to wear every day. It's a fun problem to have. Thank you so much for the excellent videos. Even though I've found and follow my own style, I find your content inspiring.
So true! I have a wardrobe that reflects my life style. I have gardens that require a lot of dirty work. I go to the gym and lift weights. I am an artist and paint at home and at an art center. I have friends and go out a lot to restaurants, galleries etc. Each part of my life requires I dress differently. Gardening is easy, cut offs and a tee. Gym, easy too, nice work out clothes. The other part of my life is creative and has a touch of boho and classic. I love to dress now for each of my interests and your videos have helped so much. You have helped me love my curly, wild hair!
Yay! I love this comment so much and love that I have inspo you to love your hair. It seems like you have a great lifestyle and know how to dress for it. ❤️
Random selection of items rings a loud bell Creative
One thing I would ask for your next Closet Confidential is to put the time zone in. I just logged in to see you live to ask a question or 2 and it streamed 2 hours ago. Love what you do, just disappointed in not being able to see you live.
I’m so sorry! I am sad that you missed it. I will remember to do that next time! Are you in the FB group? I’m thinking of adding a time zone calculator in the group.
You always come up with fresh and creative ideas. Great job.
Wow Nada - this is GREAT advice and I sure wish I knew this when I was 20! I can’t do polished and precise although I admire the look - it’s my hair!!!! Never going to tame it and I never really tried as I was smart enough to know natural is as much time/money/effort as I am willing to put in. I like a feminine but very simple style - pretty colors, small jewelry, some makeup and sometimes nail polish. You always get right down to the core issues and that simplifies all the many choices we face pertaining to style.
Thank you so much for saying that. It means so much to me. I too wish I had known this when I was 20. I think it’s so important to claim our own style and feel confident in that. Thanks again for the comment!
First time trying out linen this year. Also hats to go with pearls
My inspiration is Jean Seaburg ( a French it gal ) in the movie Breathless 1950-60.
Gamine, fitted clean sharp, yet colorful and creative .
She is a fashion icon!!! Love her
This was helpful. I relate to classic natural.
Thank you! So glad you found it helpful!
I don't watch TV, rarely go to movies, don't read "People" magazine and don't "look up to" any people in Hollywood.
Neither do I lol. I just search the internet for outfit ideas 🤣
Polished, classic and Kate Middleton.
Yes you are! Your style is totally classic and elegant.
Hi Nada, Another fab video!😊 I'm more natural than polished (having the blond version of your hair i.e. curly) I am fairly classic but I also love and have some eclectic / boho pieces but even the eclectic / boho pieces are usually in a classic style, I really don't do Avant guard!! ☺I love colour and usually add a pop of colour to my outfits. Thank you for all you do Caroline
I think I’m a classic, for the most part. I do struggle with my hair, in that it is natural wavy/curly, so I’m not sure how that resonates and coordinates with the more classic or polished style. I like a relaxed feel most of the time, but when I dress up, I tend to feel compelled to blow dry my hair into a smoother style… I do enjoy the occasional kimono and more “creative pieces”, especially layers.🤔
The information in this video was great... sadly, the sound was not. But the content was SO good I'm going to rewatch with a pen and notepad! Thank you again for your inspiring advice 😊
Thank you so much for the feedback! I’m glad you enjoyed the content. I shot this video live while on a trip and sadly the internet was awful.
Good morning! I'm traveling so different set-up today, but I wanted to talk about how to stay focused on your unique style so you can feel confident daily and stop comparing your style to someone else's. Join me this week in Closet Confidence! nadamanley.com/fnl/closetworkshop/signup
The quality of your video is poor, unfortunately. I suspect it is due to a poor internet connection where you are. I hope you enjoy your travels. As usual, your content is fantastic. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
@@denisedorsey2889 thank you so much for letting me know! It is super frustrating to not have a great connection where I’m at right now. I’m glad you enjoyed the content.
Yes! Would love a video on how to do casual/bohemian/American western on a petite with long curly grey hair. I love classic feminine tailored looks but my style is so much less precise - and I live in the Great Smoky Mountains now so a truly polished look is out of place. And also - my hair has a life of it’s own - I’m sure you can relate Nada! I love your look ❤️
I'm natural and classic and no one is my influence. I don't look at what other women wear except in a general sense, to just be aware of whether things are in or out of style.
I get that for sure, but I do like to look at other peoples outfits for inspiration
Classic
Yay! Hope you enjoyed the video
Little of both with my style. Not polished more natural
I had trouble hearing this video. It came in and out.
I’m so sorry about that. I’m away from my studio and the connection was not great.
Quality of video was poor:/.
I know and I’m so sorry. I am traveling and the Internet here was awful.
