    So what happens when you remive the yellow jack? Do you cut a piece to fit and then stabilize it with more wood nailed to join the two????

      That jack was lifting the beam for the posts near it.

      I just finished a similar job . Stacked concrete blocks and put the jack on top. With metal plate between Jack and beam. But I like your method much better. Especially because you stabilized the post above the jack. I didn't have a way to stabilize blocks and was constantly nervous about the stacked blocks

    I don't understand. what is the purpose of that. It's not permanent. How does that affect the other posts. Please fully explain or make another video finishing what you started. What is the next step now. My two friends and I are a bit confused.
