There is 0 up strokes in all of the Ramones early stuff. That’s why Johnny ramone is so good bc if you watch him play live he strums so accurately and fast while only using down strokes
Andy guitar I've followed you since I first got an acoustic guitar. On Friday I played a Burns night gig on my faithful little faith but as it was Burns Night I surprised them by taking my BB Burns Steer to play publicly for the first time EVER. Ive always been in awe of people who play Barre chords. I have just heard for the first time that there are these 3 finger power chords I do want to get the Punky sound so where please should I start.
ramones are infamous for alot if not all downstrokes...bassist too...also he does barre chords...i only know this from the google..crazy palm mutes and 6 strings...

Johnny Ramone did NOT play power chords!! Johnny Ramone played only Barred Chords! All Ramones songs are played with Barred Chords and Downstrokes. Just wanted to let you know that.

Andy.. I need your help.. I began playing without a plectrum a while ago and now I am unable to use the plectrum. I keep dropping it or I just lock my hand and play like a robot. My playing sounds very harsh. What can I do ?

Lol I've noticed the flannel in this video. I would say that's a bit more grunge but pretty close. Any way I was having problems in the middle of your begginer corse. Auto just throw out how you have plenty of other lessons. I was lost and agitated. Then figured hey I love punk rock. I may not be real good at guitar but I know my music...and punk rock has a history of untalented musicians...though it sounds great. They tend to be simple songs. So thank God I knew that other wise I may have given up. Any way point is should encourage viewers to check out your library...rather then being like learn guitar in 10 days. Do to how day 6 through me off, then every day after was that much more difficult. I mean the first videos are so good...it frustrates people who run into that same wall I did. Probably why the first few videos did great in views, then dropped off. I'd just put a playlist of begginer songs rather then try and teach chords for thousands of songs. You have the library, this would have been better then video 6 and 7 of your 10 day beginner corse. Cuz you lost me andy...i mean we was so close...but now we can be dude's again. You really are a great teacher. You just got a bit complicated there for a sec. I forgive you bro.

Barre chords are a lot harder, so I'm learning this way first and then working up to the barre chords
And if punk rock has taught us anything, it's that there is only one right way to do something! You follow the rules, man!

Radhika Shrivastav change the thickness or buy a grip pick. Thinner picks might help you transit back to normal pick using.

This is called "easy 3 chord punk song." It's not easy if you play it correctly. Especially if you play it at concert speed.
