About the poet - Pablo Neruda (1904 - 1973) was the pen name and, later, legal name of the Chilean poet, diplomat and politician Neftalí Ricardo Reyes Basoalto. He was born in Parral, Chile. He covered variety of areas in his writing such as love poems, surrealist poems, historical epics and political manifestos. Neruda won Nobel Prize in Literature in the year 1971. True love is never forgotten . Ditance and years will never change feelings of love and respect that one has for another person despite separation and moving on in there life.

True love never dies it oy grows stronger
True love is never forgotten nomatter the years fly past it only grows deeper and stronger.
Yah you are right. But it's partially true because in rare cases there maybe true love from both of the sides of the couple, otherwise in most cases true love lies one side either boy or girls.
But it's true that if we love anyone truly then its not possible to forget him/her. Whenever we open our eyes in very first of the morning we definitely think first about that person.
I myself realised it personally,,, she forgot me but still I pray to God for her wellbeing... 😓
Bring us more lost pearls now we are all close in our homes,your voice is angelic

I imagine my wife, my eternal soulmate, in the spirit world now, speaking these words to me, whispering them in my ear, ceaselessly, and I don’t feel so crazy or alone anymore, as I live for her forever love.

there was a spark of madness, driven into me
the words of so many. That elusive quality flickering
in the tangled vines of floating lovers I had seen in the streets
drifting aimlessly, almost responsibly irreverent carrying
in them deeply that secret they could never elude to me or others
in any form of language other than self experience.
How can there be explanation of the feeling that moment held within it.
The weird glow licking the room. .
As my thoughts and the vessel holding them were no longer separate from
anything and ideas of this didn't exist either in that moment.
My eyes did not see, my hands did not feel, only rivers of
experience thrust forward pinning it to that spot as we flowed
eternity through itself. Do the peaks of mountains hold the snow?
Or is it at home sleeping where it happens to fall.
Is light reaching my eyes or do we meet together singing?
The wave is cast nowhere the beach doesn't call.
Do I truly love you or am I a mad man screaming at apparitions?
And then in a flash it wraps back into itself and all
I was really doing was holding your hand. Just holding your hand...

one of my favorite poem of all times
No I won't forget you and more if you made a difference in my life when I was sick you were there when I was crying you gave me a tissue for my tears when I was hungry you feed me when I need it a counselor you listen when I fell and as I look up your hand was there to lift me up of course I won't forget you your legacy will be with me until my death and that is what I'm going to give back.

I'm not really into deep poems too much to be truthful...
Honestly I don’t even get poems, it’s like a bunch of random words put together
I think some people are complaining about your voice because you REALLY hit those 't' and 'd' sounds too hard. When one makes a 't' there is a tendency for the tongue to make a kind of a click with a puff of air, and perhaps you are simply overarticulating them. Perhaps also a little experimenting with the mike distance would help. But in any case there is throughout the poem a false staccato rhythmn of detached t and d sounds that do some violence to the poem itself and also negatively conflicts with the otherwise rather alluring qualities of your voice.
I could not read poetry because I make a truly awful hissing 's' sound that I just can't get rid of.
Just ruined Nerudas poetry. Wish I hadn't heard this murdered version.

One of the most extraordinary poems ever written - I think every woman has 1 person, 1 man - that she thinks of when she reads this poem - and it makes her weep.

Unfortunately he was persecuted by Pinochet dictatorship.
Have always loved Pablo Neruda's poetry since a young woman . Now at 85 find the script used here difficult to read.
