I made a search in Google for just this one , and your comment plus this quote that you helped me clarify and relate , all of this made me think of my unwanted smoking marijuana habit 😄 , I am in the state of thinking " I will quit soon " for months and months now ... I started getting stoned at age 19 , I'm 21 in the upcoming November , till this night when I'm Just once more , high again by smoking that weed roll , regretting why doing it and waiting one more day, wasting one more chance , I have been wasting my ability to wait and have patience on the wrong side , " Bad " , instead of having patience with the " Goods " of my life , for example my lovely business or exercising or reading a book ! No moral teachings are lock on its own because every language is own by God. They come in their own forms so that the people of its language understood. Moral ethics is universal. I think Rumi's poetry is embedded in Islamic teachings focusing on one's character development. And another I do not have any judgment towards Rumi because I don't have the right, only Allah SWT has. All I can say Rumi is an enlightened soul.

And his encounter with Şemsi Tebrizi, what made Mevlana the man we know of today according to general acquiesence, happened in Konya which was the place in Anatolia where he started to spread his beliefs. As far as I know he was not a extraordinary figure before he came to Anatolia and didn't wrote any books (I would really like to know if he did and what books he wrote). In fact there is little to no information about his past in Khorasan. Although he wrote most of work in Persian , he wasn't born or raised in Persia, instead he was born in Harzemşah state which was also a Turkish empire, the people of this state spoke Turkish. To sum up, he found Mevlevilik (his school of belief and all its parctices such as whirling Dervish, maybe we can translate it as Mevlevism?) in Anatolia, with Turkish state support (he was friends with the queen who also sponsored his burial) with Turkish influence and Turkish students.

As you start to walk on the way, the way appears. So soooooo true. That's why I'm not scared to tackle bigger problems. I don't know what I will do about a particular issue but I do know once I start making even a little progress in a general direction of it I will learn more and the path eventually is revealed.
It's like dive in, learn 3% of anything to do with it. And that will reveal another 7% to be learned. And now you just keep going.

He was actually an Islamic scholar and an Islamic jurist, he came from a long line of Imams in his lineage and was also the imam of his local mosque in his time. In his own words he said: 'I am the servant of the Qur'an, for as long as i have a soul. I am the dust on the road of Muhammad, the Chosen One. If someone interprets my words in any other way, that person I deplore, and I deplore his words.' His poetry was translated and introduced by an amerian who discovered his work and wanted to introduce it to the west but did not interpret it using Rumi's actual meanings in some of his interpretations into the english language so he either missed out or wrongly but intentionally misinterpreted the Islamic parts since he was not sure how a Christian nation may recieve it.
