BRO! That stretch while doing the machine row is the winning ticket! Tried it out today at the gym, never felt my back fire up like that, thanks a ton!
@@socialjusticewarrior6971 I haven't yet. I was doing some barbell rows before but not with my back stretched out and rounded like this. I felt exhausted, but not much back activation. I'll probably keep to machine rows for a bit while I can feel the activation then swap in barbell after some time.
A lot of muscle building is your neurological connection to your muscle. Focus on that connection and building it along with increasing volume, intensity, weight, or any combination thereof to encourage hypertrophy.
I’m 47 and just got back into the gym since ‘20 for about 2 months now hitting it hard. These videos have been highly motivating and knowledgeable for me. I’ve made a lot of progress. Thank you for your content!
This is a great format for information presentation. Engaging, informative and humorous. Would love to see a full series of these focussing on different muscle groups. Great work guys. Get that stretch!
You guys got me focussing on getting that big stretch at the bottom right and man do I ever feel my workouts even more !! Today was back day I had to come back to leave a comment cause I’m feeling parts of my back I haven’t ever felt.
Best collab I’ve seen, I already follow those two religiously so seeing y’all making jokes, killin the technique as great role models, LESSSS FUCKING GOOOOOOO
Omg! Dr Mike and Jonni! 2 of my favourites! One of the fews that are really helpfull for the fitness community. Proos to u guys! Ur both awesome to watch.
Across a range of UA-cam subjects that I watch it is always really nice to see different UA-camrs interacting in a video together. It makes it feel like you are even more tangible as a real human that I'm "friends" with. The power of a virtual social world. I don't watch anyone I wouldn't break bread with.
Average height for men in the United States is 5'9'', but I agree with Jonni about medium kings. "Power Ranger shoes," Jonni received more than just a back workout burn.
I’m 5’10 and always saw myself as medium…. Awesome video. Been out of the gym for 10 months due to a distal bicep rupture (I caught my 140lb rottie when he fell) and this gave me much needed motivation. Thanks!
"I didn't hear you say let's go Jared to me..." I love Johhnie Schreve. It's even better seeing his personality interact with Mike's ultra intense sarcasm.
This was awesome! I learned I have been doing straight arm pressdowns wrong all these years, not getting the fullest stretch at top with chest down. 👍 I also do High lat Pulls with a top cable, will now try with low cable.
You guys are putting on a clinic. Thank you. It's cool to have some backing from professionals that I've been doing a lot right, reinforcing what I've learned over the years and from actual science.
Excellent. I enjoyed the different faces you guys made while pulling. I can only imagine my face when I perform these. Thank you gentlement, I look foward to applying these techniques and one day glide through the air using my lat width.
Gonna have to give these "Lat Prayers" a shot cause I haven't been able to do any version of this movement that doesn't kill my triceps before even coming close to burning out my lats
@@N1120A I've tried every type of bar, arm and hand position and no matter what I do...I feel it much more in my tris than I do my lats. If there's a "trick", I haven't figure out how to do it yet.

I always keep my rep range 15-20 for all my back movements. I only do it that way because it always felt just right. It never occurred to me until you mention time under tension doing back vs chest. If i drop my reps in the 8-12 range my biceps seems to play a bigger role in the movement, and thats not what im aiming for.
An awesome workout!! Definitely used the cues for the rows in my back training and feel more success and benefit taking the muscle through its full range of motion🌟💪🏻
Man I been out the gym for a minute I remember when he has 50k subs now he is at 400k dammm he made it. Thank you for putting the workout in the discerption…
I know that stretch you're talking about and I love it. I like to get that stretch on the eccentric with the lat pull down, pull ups and row and it just feels right and it generates so much more power on the concentric
Wish we had this kind of videos 27 years ago when I started working out. We had to figure all this out ourselves over YEARS! Very lucky generation for sure.
Mike’s sense of humor is everything 😂😂😂
I actually thought it was something
Dont you just love it when these gym influencers who actually make sense and train without bs collab? Also the "Jeff Nippard" killed me. 😂😂😂
@sci_qi3391 L reply. Lol
We tell it like it is on this channel !

I just use smaller iron plates like 25s to get the stretch without needing a platform or whatever. You can still load it up.
Top tier collab with the goats Jared and mike
Big matt
Thank you brother 💪🏾
@Sci_qi pointing out what facts? I don't see your comment. That he learned a few things from Dr. Mike? 😂
Goats? Surely you can only have one greatest of all time. If everyone is the goat then nobody is

His cue's are so clear and concise, condensed without a syllable wasted.. Remarkable trainer..
