Something I had forgotten to mention! To make this control scheme feel more natural you can set the flight to Normal instead of Inverted, this is not necessary but you may find it more natural with it on Normal, for those struggling with the transition try to constantly remind yourself to move left and right with the mouse, start slow just fly up and turn left and right.
Thank you so much for this amazing guide! It's crazy to me that after all those years of Battlefield 4 there is still some stuff being discovered and talked about
Thank you so much, I was a bad pilot cannot dodge and barely get 5 kills a game to a 60+ kills a game and almost win all dogfights, also now I can fly into buildings and out so easily thanks to your previous guide video.
Thanks for showcasing how much you need to lead shots in the scout helis. I thought my low DPS came down to bad hitreg, didn’t realise you need to lead so much.
Rifle aim is absolutely amazing, as a returning BF4 player who never really played alot with helis, it only took me like 2 hours to learn the scheme and allowed me to be much more nimble and aim so much better than i ever was with the helis. I definetely recommend anyone who feels like they might never learn to adapt to it to just give it a try, it will be worth it!!
And as Reaps said, you have to be gentle with the mouse for movements. If you keep a certain flow of the heli speeds which u get used to its so easy to control and u can make quick turns even while being really gentle with the mouse. Overall its alot less movement intensive on your end because the brunk of the inputs will get handled by your AD keys.
I also learned alot by just zigzagging at high speeds between the Zavod trees and then stopping and shooting the trees around me for a couple secs to then go back to zigzagging and repeating this
I've been trying to change to the different control settings but it's like re learning how to fly, very difficult. I fly kind of nice already, is the aiming what makes me miss like 70% of the kills on infantery PD: Very good guide btw, one of the best I've seen so far
Dude how the hell did you even start to use this? The heli automatically rolls to the opposite site when yawing. I just learned this now trying out rifle aim. With muscle memory of yawing with AD its impossible to even control lol. Trying to even start aiming just crashes me instantly, like trying to invert your left/right :D
It shouldn't be automatically rolling you to the opposite side unless u applied the controls incorrectly, also check my pinned comment may be helpful lol
In the video I'm using 800 DPI 19% In-game 28.1cm/360, In general you can adapt to anything but i recommend anything between 25cm to 60cm for rifle aim
Takes abit to click but I recommend spawning In a heli hold w to fly up press nothing else and just turn left to right with the mouse to get it to click
it's been a week i started to play with rifle aim and have a question, the movements of the mouse, right and left sometimes are not smooth, if i move just a bit my mouse the heli doesn't move, if i move more aggressively it just move to much (especially in a 1v1 heli), how can i fix it ? Nice job, keep on
@@x8reaps I take that as a no. :P Shame though, it is powerful and the new map is great for helis, but I can also see where you are coming from. The game still needs so much work and Dice keeps making questionable calls (such as limiting aircraft to 1 per team for 128 players) that really do not fit with what Battlefield used to be about.
could u please take a look at the mechanics of Scout heli and how it works in Battlefield 3 cuz nowadays huge number of players are enjoying it [ better than 2042 ]

Thx for the update, helps a lot XD
My mouse pad is too small im a wrist player with high sense and really good at micromovements which this just doesnt help sucks tho

After 6 years I am still learning more lol
By far the most detailed Scout Heli guide Ive seen !

Im infatuated with Rifle Aim, genuinely the key ive been missing to do better in scouts, thank you!!

Actually a clear and a good tutorial, thanks!
nice work Mate. I need to stop playing Warzone so much and learn BF4
Thanks alot for this brother, found ur channel a couple days ago cuz i wanted to learn helis and i'm glad i did :)
Good videos as always!
I'm getting more and more in love with the scout Heli!
Nice to see u back again sensei

Trees is a monster

RIFLE AIM FOR NERDS MATE XD
Thx for the incredible guide reaps
Its even more powerful on the attack heli, you can easily land tow shots with no issue.

I made the rifle aim switch a few Weeks ago. It was the worst experience ever for about 3 days, but now it is SOOOOOO much better. Don't give up!
@@KingWafl you really are convincing me

Thanks for the excellent video mate. I noticed you didn't mention sensitivity though. What's your opinion on this?

wow after playing bf for years on default settings try the "rifle aim" wow my brain hurts and i crash alot. its interesting to learn this new mechanic
Takes abit to click but I recommend spawning In a heli hold w to fly up press nothing else and just turn left to right with the mouse to get it to click
Hello, did you switch the vertical movement around, so moving the mouse up will aim up, and and moving mouse down will aim down?
@@nerokys8479 yes, for rifle aim I play non inverted

I explain that specifically at 3:45, there is no way to change it u need to just adapt to it
@@x8reaps oh okay, TY, keep on the good job.
Will you give the new helis in 2042 a try? They are very powerful and just as agile as a Little Bird.
I played 2042 season 1 for about an hour then uninstalled the game lol

Is there any form to go effectivly agenst the little birds without using lockons?
You don't need to use any lockons against an enemy little bird with lockons, u just need to fly below radar or use cover to get closer
