@@YoureMrLebowski Duh! lol.
"Prince Humperdinck inspired the design of Lord Farquar, in "Shrek"
I don't think I've ever met anyone who didn't love The Princess Bride.
Not many people today recognize Peter Falk. Columbo was one of the great fictional detectives, but since most of the shows were made in the 70s, many young people today haven't seen them.
The movie is based on the book of the same name by William Goldman. One of his two daughters had asked him for a story about a princess, and the other for a story about a bride. He combined the two ideas, and included elements of stories he had already told his girls.
Rob Reiner directed The Princess Bride. He's made several classic films, including This Is Spinal Tap (maybe the first mockumentary), Stand by Me, When Harry Met Sally, Misery, and A Few Good Men. When Harry Met Sally would be a good one for you to react to if you're looking for another romantic movie. Stand by Me is an excellent coming of age story.
Robin also played Diana's Aunt (Antiope) in the "Wonder Woman" movies! From Buttercup to Amazon Warrior!!
With all Respect, anyone that would have you as a bride is blessed.

I've heard that Andre the Giant was in incredible pain during the filming of this movie. The medical condition that caused his great size also put a terrible strain on his body and undoubtedly contributed to his early death. I believe he was also slow in healing from an injury suffered from his wrestling career. In spite of the great pain he said being a part of this film was one of his proudest moments. Being able to show the world that his massive size was matched by his equally enormous heart!
I'm so sad to hear this story about his health.
Elena, I don't know if you've seen any "John Wick" movies, but in them they say the name 'Baba Yaga', but they pronounce it differently from you. They said, BA-ba, YAY-ga.
It's nice to see someone who knows who Peter Falk was 🕯
Mark Knopfler is the composer of the music for this movie. He was the leader/guitarist/songwriter of the legendary band, 'Dire Straits'.
Here's Mr. Knopfler with an all-star band playing one of the better known Dire Straits songs he wrote and played.

Deepermind4884 thank U so much🤗
Since it's a Slavic legend, I was glad to hear the proper Slavic pronunciation. Only an English speaker would say "Yayga" (and not all of them). For reasons why, Google "great vowel shift".
Elena, You are Looking especially Stunning in this Reaction.......
Great Reaction..... Everyone comments about how "Over the Top" this movie is and how "Useless" Buttercup is.... Reminder, You are watching this from the Imagination of an 8 year old boy who is listening to a story.......
The Grandfather is best known for his role "Columbo" a Detective TV movie series in the 1970's...
The Grandson was the lead from the TV show "Wonder Years"......
Fesik is played by Professional Wrestler Andre the Giant, He Past Away to Young at Age 46.....
The Cliff-Top Duel was practiced by Wesley & Indigo, through-out the filming and one of the last things filmed..... And is considered one of the best filmed duels in movie history, and all but the gymnastic flips is the actual actors.....
When 6-Fingered Man hit Wesley on the Head, it was a real hit and put the actor for Wesley in the hospital....
The Director had to leave the set when Filming the Miracle Max scenes cause the Actor Billy Crystal kept making him laugh....
If you notice, when Indigo delivers the line "I want my Father Back...." the actor drops the spanish accent, one reason is he was channeling how he felt about loosing his Father to Cancer.....
Thanks a lot CoastalNomad 🤗 And thanks for this info!😉
Another amazing reaction and you are so beautiful Elena ❤❤😁😁.
Chris🥰 Thank U
@@Elena_Rea Your welcome Elena ❤❤🥰🥰.
watched an interview where she said that she and Aundre the Giant became good friends through the movie.
he treated her like a little sister.
an ex-boyfriend of hers turned up on set and was hassling her,
and Aundre walked up and asked if he was annoying her.
then told him to leave.
the ex ran away like a little puppy.
wow😎cool story!
If you liked the soundtrack, the same composer did a song called "Sultans of Swing". There's a famous live performance (can someone reply with the correct one?), and people who react to songs often choose it. Might be nice sometime as a shorter video.
Robin Wright was in "Message in a Bottle", a great rather tragic romance drama with Kevin Costner.
Worth watching if not reacting to.
34:09 Yup, how big his hands were, was one of the things he was famous for. He was one of the tallest people in the world at the time. Actually Robin Wright tells a story about him. She says that one day the whole crew went horseback riding in the countryside and got caught in freezing rain on the way back. She says he noticed her shivering and rested his hand on her head like a hat. She says it kept her dry and warm surprisingly well. It also made her feel safe.
Elena, thank you for reacting this timeless classic. If you are ever mood for romantic fairy tail film like this, I highly recommend: Stardust (2007)
Thank U for recommendation!🤗
The Sword Fight between Roberts and Inigo was performed by the actors themselves (with the Exception of the Acrobatics). Cary and Mandy spent 4 months in intense fencing training to get the choreography just right.
LIFE LESSON 101: Never trust a person that "just Happens" to have a deadly poison in his pocket...
that's incredible!!!
22:47 "You can live on it, but it tastes like shit".
Hello Elena, you are looking very lovely in white!😊🤍 I was very surprised you knew that Peter Falk was "Columbo". My mother watched the detective shows around that time on TV when they first aired. Columbo was one of her favorites, probably like your mom. He made many episodes and specials as "Columbo" from the 70s to 80s. Great reactions to this very well made and acted fairytale story, Elena!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Mike, heyyy! Thank U🥰
Elena, it's awesome that you finally got to see this movie. I remember going to see it in the theater in 1987. I had an uncle that loved watching pro wrestling, and Andre the Giant was a part of all that. Seeing him play this role changed my entire perception of him and it's such a great thing that he got a chance to play this role because so many people thought just like me. Now, we remember him for this fantastic role and barely remember his wrestling days. There are a LOT of fantastic films that came out in the 80s that I hope you get a chance to see. It's awesome that you got a little vacation even if it was really hot. Hopefully it didn't get above 35C. It was 39C here in Arizona today. Normal summer weather. Anyway, it's good to see you back at it. Take care and keep smiling!
Hey Brian!🙌 wow) 39 - it's a hell !! 😯
The 8th wonder of the world: Andre the Giant!!! Rest in peace
He once remarked that filming this movie was the best time in his life because everyone treated him like just another actor.
How old do you think all of the characters were?
Elena:: "it's so hot in Georgia"
Me: *laughs in southern Nevada*
what's going on in southern Nevada ?))
@@Elena_Rea it's always hot here 🤷 from July to 3nd of August it's always 90°f or hotter, and it's really common to see temps in the 100°f,-115°f range 🤷
30:00 Hut not on chicken legs? Not Baba Yaga.
I've heard of Baba Yaga as a character, but I've never gotten to hear any stories featuring her. I would love to -- folklore from around the world is a hobby of mine.
I'd recommend you to watch Morozko (Морозко 1964)
Such a beautiful film.
Love this :)
😉
Yes! This is just about the first reaction that has all six deliveries of Inigo’s most famous line.
The giant who wrestled with Wesley is Andre the Giant. He used to be a professional wrestler. Look him up if you're curious. I'm just at that scene and enjoying your reaction so far.
I looked up his stats once and his forearms were bigger than my waste!

You're magnificent and stunning, fantastic new reaction, great video, much love my dear friend ❤️😍

Amazing masterpiece very classic The Princess Bride directed and co-produced by Rob Reiner starring Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, Chris Sarandon, Christopher Guest, Wallace Shawn, André the Giant, Robin Wright, Peter Falk, Fred Savage, Billy Crystal and music score by Mark Knopfler (He was the lead guitarist, singer and songwriter of the rock band Dire Straits from 1977 to 1995. Thank you so much my pretty Elena great reaction excellent and welcome back😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Pedro, thank UU🥰
@@Elena_ReaYou're welcome my pretty Elena 😍😍😍😍😍
You say you recognize him from the mustache, but he didn't have the mustache in the beginning.
Oh, yep. my bad🙃
so THAT is how you pronounce "Baba Yaga"! enjoyed your reaction ☺
heyy paulalexandredumasseauvan2357 ! Thank U so much🤗
When you were comparing Miracle Max to Baba Yaga I was thinking wait until you meet his wife
I think, in this case, the gender is not important even. In old Russian fairy tales baba Yaga always played the same actor George Millar (man)
@@Elena_Rea Learn something new every day thank you

🥰
In the beginning Buttercup did not agree to marry the prince because of "boredom", if you listened they said that the prince had the right to choose his bride. She had no choice in the matter.
Notice the grandpa said, “As you wish,” to his grandson, meaning--
Deleted scene: at the end, the grandfather comes back in and says "Just one more thing..." 😂
Yes yes, of course) I got those 3 words))
🎵First things first dum a dee dum a deedy dum dee…🎵 And of course this fight is not to the death but to the 🎵Pain! You made me a, you made me a believer, believer🎵
EnglishRalph thank U)) I always forget the lyrics🙃
Adding to what others have said about Andre and Robin, when Andre put his hand on Robin's head to warm her up on cold and rainy shooting days/nights, his hand was so massive that he could rest the heel of his hand at the base of her skull and his fingers would end up just stretching to just under her cheekbones.
Also, Mandy Patinkin's father lost his life to cancer when Mandy was eighteen, and, when Inigo fights Count Rugen, Mandy imagined that he was fighting and killing the cancer that killed his father.
Also, funny story, when Buttercup and Westley roll down the hill, the same stunt performer was used for both, he did it once as Westley and once as Buttercup.
😯woowie!!!!!!!!!
Will you please share the details on the little tree in the back with the glowy lights? I would like to get something like that but not sure what to search for
Hi, of course. This is a small table tree with LED lights. Found in a local store in Georgia🤗
@@Elena_Rea thank you
You look Beautiful every day Elena 😍😍😍😍.
I'm glad to hear it🥰
For someone who was going to try to not fall asleep at the beginning he still is awfully interested in if Westley and buttercup would get together
Hello there
Hey aranerem5569🙌
And JENNY from Forrest Gump is the most evil person in movie history
She was sexually abused by her father as a child and was trying to live her life with no support as best she could. She made poor choices but I rather would spend a lifetime with "JENNY from Forrest Gump" than 5 seconds with you judging someone trying their best.
Far from it
Forrest loves jenny but she puts him in the friend zone and sleeps with everybody drug dealers, pimps uses hard drugs tries to kill herself reaches rock bottom then uses forrest to get back on her feet sleeps with him then takes off. Falls pregnant with his baby gives birth and the only time she tells him he's a father of a 6 year old is because she's dying of cancer and she found out he owns a multi million dollar company so that's why she's evil she took advantage of a man with learning difficulties 👍
The kid at the end wasn't forrests kid she was only using Forrest because she was dying. DNA test when it comes back not his kid drop it off at the orphanage
@@nothernmonkey8612 Jenny was not evil, just lost. Sounds like the only evil in your post is coming from you.
Cary elwes was the lead in the PENTAGON WARS a movie about the BRADLEY Fighting Vehicle that are in service now with the Ukrainians 👍
R.I.P Andre The Giant
Andre( Fencik) was approximately 7ft4 (224 cm) and weighed 500 lbs (227 kg) so definitely a big man
Hi Elena, nice reaction! I'm glad that you recognised Peter Falk from his lead role in "Columbo". Many of the actors in this movie, even in small roles, were well-known American and British actors and comedians at the time. One of my favourites was Peter Cook (yes, another named Peter), who played the old man priest at the unsuccessful wedding ceremony. He had been part of the British comedy quartet, Beyond The Fringe, that had all been students at Oxford and Cambridge Universities. And with one of his colleagues from that project, Dudley Moore, he created a movie in the 1960s called "Bedazzled", based on the story of Faust, who traded his soul to the Devil for worldly success. That is why his casting as a priest in this movie is so funny, because he played the Devil in "Bedazzled".

Hi Gallen Dugall! 🙌
42:50 whoa that was dark
30:00 I thought John Wick was Babgaga? ;)
this movie brought Andre the Giant to the general public and was well loved for this role. (Great choice, Andre).
See about Baba Yaga (sort of) in the John Wick movie series. (Should be Babayka, not Baba Yaga, as being more accurate (male vs female, respectively) in the JW movie(s), as I understand it).
I would not risk calling John Wick a droopy-boobed old woman/witch. He might take exception to that.
oh, Babayka and Baba Yaga are definitely two different characters.😉
Send an additional 'Thank you,' to Norman Lear (one who's political sense I'm likely to disagree with) -- ••HIS•• money paid for this wonderful film! (He passed away earlier this year, at age 101. Rest in Peace.)
"your childhood"? Aren't you like 20?
Am I look like 20 ?🤩 Good
