One of the exercises was to construct a kite structure with paper and sticks and instructions. I was questioned as to how I constructed it, apparently I was supposed to fail as the instructions were wrong. " I realised the instructions were wrong and I ignored them" I replied... They also advised us to buy all as many labour saving devices, yea on my wages. My experience of management consultancy.

If you watch anything live on virgin like sport F1, football as an example as you say you only have basic package or news programs or you record it and watch later you need to give the bbc money for the privilege

Also, it would be interesting to discover whether the “outside company” that’s being brought in for a second time is owned / run by someone related to a senior member of the BBC.
There is one problem with scrapping the tv licence and that is that the government will find another way to pay for it via a tax on something that we all want ,if it is not going to be a subscription service then keep the licence and let them that like it pay and leave the rest of us alone

When you requested information that was turned down for a not legal reason, you should of tried putting them under court rules by sending them a letter of intended legal action, explaining why their reason for refusing is not legal, and asking for the information again within the time frame you give (1 week is reasonable), then wait and see if they give you the info you requested. Yes technically if they refuse again and you then don't take legal action, they could then try taking legal action on you, but the letter isn't a letter of legal action, it's a letter of intended legal action, so even if you actually didn't intend to take legal action, they can't prove that if you did some searches about taking them to court before sending them the letter. Your search history would be enough proof that you intended on taking legal action but then changed your mind some time after sending the letter

He who pays the fiddler calls the tune. If a company hires an "Independant" consultant and pays the bill, who calls the tune. They will comeback and make recommendations that are favourable to the bill payer, especially if the consultants want more contracts.
Consultants are an expensive waste of time and money. Before I retired, I worked for a government related organization and it was plagued by consultants. They were there for some of the most absurd reasons and nothing useful ever emerged. I expect the BBC are paying big bucks to these professional time wasters who do nothing but line their own pockets at public expense.
The BBC will have an answer or excuse for everything regarding the FOI. I am so pleased I don’t watch TV anymore and stopped having a licence 5 years ago so thankfully they can’t waste my money anymore 😊👍🏻
