Another most awesome restoration!..as a retired Master Plumber I can truly appreciate this tool..I used to service all the threading tools for my company..
BRO, from this channel, I find out that there is stuff out there, I never thought might exists, this guy restores only SUPER-RARE items !!! he is taking me to time travel and fixing it as if it's now!!! I am super proud of being one of the people visiting this channel !!! SUPERIOR AMAZING +++ its story telling in a vocal-less video!!!
I love threading tools because they're satisfying and nifty to create good treads. This right there has got to be a monster threading tool right there, and as well as an antique threader, this never failed from a proper restoration.
Never seen anything of that scale. I suspect it may be a hundred years old, and perhaps used for plumbing applications, but just guessing. Always enjoy your content, thanks!
@@mred8002 pipes didnt change much in that time as i know, now are pvc, modern non toxic, but old pipes were lead, even our house have it, and it was build around 1980
@@gkrstini Whatever you say. Perhaps my memory of my granddad is in error, but while lead pipes and joining was common for septic lines, we didn’t use it for water lines, as even then we knew about lead poisoning. His threader was used for natural gas lines when they were installed, too, at least for larger building requiring the larger pipes. Our area has alkaline water that erodes steel pipes, limiting their lifetime, so copper was used until it became too expensive, and Pex , PVC, and other materials became popular.
Nerver seen something like that. But liked your restauration. Liked that you cold blued the blades to not mess up the hardening. Thanks for sharing. Weekend Stuff
So I watch these videos very carefully and have figured out that there are at least 3 different pairs of hands whom I have named "Grandpa", "Son" and "Grandson". I haven't seen Grandpa's hands much lately in recent videos. Is he OK? He is so talented and has so many skills - metalworking, woodworking, welding, etc.. Hope everything is OK with him. Say hi to Avril for me! ♥🐈
That's actually really interesting, and here I was thinking it was just a sweet old grandpa with an eye for detail. Even sweeter to think about a generational line all sharing a love for the craft.
Nicely done. No excessive modifications or prettying, just the bare conservation. I have two points to raise however: filing the threads of the handles was really an unnecessary modification. And for disassembly, you should either use soft-jawed tools or some shims so you don't damage the original finish of the parts more than absolutely necessary.
Is there a similar tool to make the internal thread on the thing your piece is going to screw into? If so, that should probably be the next restoration project 😀
Turned out very nice LADB... Ready for another hundred years of cutting threads... Hope all is well with you and your family in your part of the world.. Take care my friend...
I enjoyed thinking about the smaller threading tools working to make the bigger threading tool restored like the little brothers bringing their big brother back to life!
A gorgeous thing! I would also like to see a brief instruction on how to set it up. There, the dimensions of the threads being cut are apparently indicated from above... Metric? Inches?
What a fascinating video the tool is really awesome what a brilliant restoration. You are able to restore anything even electric items. Your videos are great thanks for them from Amanda x
Hi! I've seen your videos in reddit without a link to your channel, I would really suggest having a watermark in the corner! I love your content, thank you so much for your videos❤❤
when you thought, you saw everything like a mandelbrot vice (greetings to handtoolrescue) then out of nowhere, an adjustable threading tool pops up never saw something like this :D
Every time you restore a tool you can almost hear it saying "thank you, now i can continue working just like i did with your father and your grandfather before him". Pd: -how much grease does it need? +yes! Pd2: gorgeous tool!!
Have you ever seen an adjustable threading tool like this ? 🤔 Hope you'll enjoy this new video ! ✌😃
I think I've seen something similar on another restoration channel, but it's nice to see it restored.
Lot of knowledge in this !. Tank you for this restoration, humanity must not forget knowledge built .
That is a marvelous piece of engineering! I loved seeing the lettering appear, seemingly from nowhere...
You are one of 3 restoration channels that I watch, with my mechanics and cool again restoration. You're all amazing.
Same here.
No Hand Tool Rescue?
@@somon90 not any more.
@@somon90 I was going to ask the same question, he’s hilarious and great at what he does
You should check out Veradona Restoration too.
Where's the final inspection by Avril?
Avril must be on a business trip 😂
She left to scavenge for more tools to repair
Another most awesome restoration!..as a retired Master Plumber I can truly appreciate this tool..I used to service all the threading tools for my company..
We missed Avril.
I was thinking the same thing. Where is Avril?

I never get tired of watching your channel. I love watch you turn something old into new again.
Fascinating tool. Very good work as always with the restoration!
This might be my new favorite restoration video. What a cool tool!!!!
I've seen many threading tools but never an adjustable one. Interesting tool! Thanks for sharing.

What a beast of a tool! Fantastic find and restoration!

yes, so small... I'm used to 4 inch.
why hundreds? grandfather of my friend used that to thread water pipes
@@gkrstini I thought about a hundred years old, as I had heard of my grandfather using such about 1920 for, as you say, water pipes

It always amazes me how you are able to put it back together correctly (with no bits left over, like I do) lol
Awesome work 😁❤️

Yes, there are tools for that. Just not adjustable ones I think.
Amazing restoration job. It looks much better and it works like a charm too. Great work.
I love seeing the green lamp make a camio!

I love the certain quirk of needing to use threading tools to restore a threading tool hahaha
Great restoration.

Pozdrawiam
toujours des objets jamais vus ailleurs, super vidéo !
Nice job bro.I wouldn't put grease on the threads, rather apply anti seize, so the torque applied don't change. Just a suggestion .
