Aside from some parts not working, I was surprised how good of a condition this was in! I always love to see how these things turn out and really enjoy your videos. I love the natural sounds in the background that you don't see in many other channels since they work in a closed space or warehouse. I love the nature in all your videos and look forward to plenty more!
And of Avril of course :) I have four cats myself and absolutely adore Avril.

    Kitty timestamps, as always:
7:01 Avril coming in, probably after using the head fluff for cleaning
8:18 Now the other side of the fluff?
    8:40 Investigating the gravel
19:31 One final inspection for the restored pieces, from the fluffy assistant of the orange fur, Avril
So, that's how the old blowtorches are. I guess they might also work well for roasting some treats, kitty treats maybe?
Thanks for the video! Awesome work! God bless you!

If you look at pictures of knitted shawls, there is often a cat sitting on the shawl. The term for that is 'giving the knitted item a buttstamp of approval'

    • @thenonoman

I appreciate the timestamps. I was grading papers while this was playing and missed the first three appearances. I was about 15 minutes in and was upset by the distinct lack of Avril. I am not even a "cat person," it is just that it is not a real LADB video without Avril.

A good job that I was alone whilst watching this. When it was demonstrated, I said, out loud, "bloody hell!". I really had not expected that, actually I had no idea what to expect, but that wasn't it.
Absolutely amazed, and enthralled. If someone had said in 2001 that in 20 years time I'd be watching a guy restore a blow torch, I'd have called them mad. Yet here I am, in 2021 barely able to tear my eyes away from the television in case I miss something interesting.
    A superb restoration.

There’s a question I have that I’ve noticed from not only you but other restoration videos, why remove the mold lines and markings that are original to the piece. It’s Part of its history of how it was made

Great attention to detail, filing down the brass casting marks and polishing up those Bakelite pieces. I thought for sure you were going to make a roux when you pulled out the flour!!! Awesome as always!!

Purpose could have been to heat mono-cylinder motor before starting, on oil fueled tractors as Lanz or SFV. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heinrich_Lanz_AG

There’s a certain beauty to this old equipment. No ultrasonically welded plastics and such that you can’t disassemble. Everything is a nut or bolt, and even if it’s a little rusty, a wrench and a torch can get it apart.

its a Blowtorch to heat the head of a tractor, something in the line of a Lanz Buldog Glükopf

Whenever you sand a piece I'm immediately thinking how much better it looks, and then you sand it and I'm like, wow, how could I be so foolish, NOW it looks good, and then you sand it *again* and polish it and I'm like, no, NOW *that's* amazing.
