A good job that I was alone whilst watching this. When it was demonstrated, I said, out loud, "bloody hell!". I really had not expected that, actually I had no idea what to expect, but that wasn't it. Absolutely amazed, and enthralled. If someone had said in 2001 that in 20 years time I'd be watching a guy restore a blow torch, I'd have called them mad. Why do I really love the design of this ancient piece of machinery 🤣 I was so born in the wrong time-line. But this thing does actually have some charming characteristics and I could totally see this thing on some video game character
Beautiful restoration as usual.. This torch reminded me of a similar one my father had on the farm when I was young. It would be a neat ornament in the shop today, not to mention the keepsake..

Did you fill the main tank with alcohol? I thought that it was going to run on kerosene? And pre heat with alcohol/spirits! I have one similar and ive been using kerosene always. Hi from Cork in Ireland. Love your channel its the best
With a pressurized tank like that, you probably can use a lot of different types fuels. As long as the fuel atomizes, it burns... And the fact that you adjust the flow to air ratio, it works. JMHO

There’s a question I have that I’ve noticed from not only you but other restoration videos, why remove the mold lines and markings that are original to the piece. It’s Part of its history of how it was made
Great attention to detail, filing down the brass casting marks and polishing up those Bakelite pieces. I thought for sure you were going to make a roux when you pulled out the flour!!! Awesome as always!!
There’s a certain beauty to this old equipment. No ultrasonically welded plastics and such that you can’t disassemble. Everything is a nut or bolt, and even if it’s a little rusty, a wrench and a torch can get it apart.
