I love your reaction! It so perfectly applies to exquisite beauty of Aurora’s music. I can feel your fellow “warrior and weirdo” vibe, and I am right there with you. 💖✨
Yea. At first moment was not sure about some songs and some grabbed me right from the start, but now I love whole album. It is harder and harder to choose which songs like more. For sure Everything Matters was my favorite and maybe still is but for with Aurora songs it is always hard to put all these great songs in order and hard to tell which one is better from which one :).
Thank you Fern. I love everything on this fabulous Album. It will be interesting to see how Aurora changes some of the songs for her live performances to come. 💛
I just wanted to comment on one thing, about exhale inhale. When you hold your breath and have to breath, its not because of lack of oxygen, but it is because of the bild up of co2, waste, that needs to get out. Out with the trash and start fresh. When babies are born, it's about the same, they have to empty theyre lungs of water, and only then are they able to take the first breat to cry. So there is no air, but still they have to "breath" out the waste to start life. I just think it adds to the song to know this.
Thank you Fern for reacting to the Album! As usual, your insights are amazing. Also, I LOVE THE OA! it's one of my faves. I was really pissed they canceled the show. I really like the song "i wish i knew" in the OA.
I follow your channel since you started to react to Aurora but i'm not sure i ever commented before, i absolutely love your reactions and how you interpret the songs! it really helps me understand them further or just see them from more than one perspective. I looooooove the way you talk about music. This album is so vibrant and emotional. A really beautiful display of human existence at its core, if that makes sense? It makes me feel connected to myself again when I listen to her music. Also, from a music theory standpoint (I’m a music theorist myself), the trills you mention are more melismatic (which you mentioned), or double neighbor figures, than the true definition of trill. Trills usually only involve fast repetition between two notes. They can be embellished at the start, or end, but normal only involves two notes. I apologize if you know this, but sometimes these fine details help us be even more specific and descriptive when we talk about music. Thank you for talking about music deeper than face value. Love this reaction ❤️
After blitzing through dozens of reaction videos upon discovering Aurora last year, yours was the first one I came to for this album. Gave myself a good dozen listens or so first, to form my own opinions, and I gotta say...you really nailed it. Once again, the passion, authenticity, insight, and enthusiasm that you bring are just perfect. Thanks for posting and for being you :-)
Dern, Darling, so she did it again! Aurora nailed once more some thing we have to listen to several times she's telling us something, actually reminding us things we already know and feel but we somehow managed to bury beneath layers and layers of sour lies the BigBoss keeping us crawling forr forgiving Aurora is a wise sweet and very powerful lady of our day you get some Buenos Aires airs, and some Enio Morricone spaghetty western vibews as well very well done another Aurora's jewel a masterpiece
Wow! This is by far the best reaction video of The Gods We Can Touch album. You really dove into the meaning of the songs and took it apart. Thank you so much!!❤
Just come to bed and going to watch your reaction now as no doubt I won't be able to sleep again! Anyway 'You Keep Me Crawling', 'Exhale Inhale' and 'A Dangerous Thing' are just amazing. After a few of the early single releases and hearing this was a 'fun' and 'playful' album I was a little worried I'd really not like it. I love her dark and ethereal tracks the most but she has absolutely nailed it. Her and Magnus have done a brilliant job on the production keeping it all cohesive somehow despite each track having such a unique style for the most part.
On Heathens, she is saying since Eve, we got free will. And to be human old religions said certain parts of life and love were heathenistic. AURORA says we love to live like the Heathens we are.

Have you heard either of the new songs Aurora has done: "Alone in the Night" (which is a collaboration with Sondre Lerche) or "The Woman I Am," which she just released a couple days ago?
Great reaction. Such an amazing new album. You’re one of my top 4 favorite Aurora reactors 🥰 Love from Maldives 🇲🇻 Also - that’s such a nice shade of lipstick . Love the whole vibe
I really loved your interpretations. They brought a lot more depth into the songs for me and gave me new perspectives to chew on. Thank you for that. Your take on Blood in the wine was interesting to me. To me it was about an actual mother who was depressed and held down by the burdens of her life. This made her cold and abusive to her child. The child can sees this and while they are hurt by all the mother has done to them. Their heart goes out to her, they understand and try to reach out, try to wake her up, get her to realise that she is more than her pain. That her child is more than their pain. To reawaken love and foster healing. But it hurts, being close to her. And there is uncertainty that she'll ever wake up again.

Love your Aurora reaction as always 🥰 When it comes to “Everything Matters”, Pomme sings only the french bit (beautifully), with Aurora on the backing vocals. Hi Fern, im so delighted to have found your fantastic channel. I really enjoyed your indepth review of Aurora's new album. It's a real blessing to feel a kind of heaven inside of us. Really resonate with this. I love your make up, too. I was instantly drawn to this video! i love making music, too. You have a new subscriber now yay!! 💚✨💚✨💐🌈
Omg your makeup is soo beautiful 😍💖 Your reactions to the songs were almost the same as mine xD You don't just hear her music you feel it and it sends you somewhere, I love it!!💖 She just brought out a music video for A Temporary High, defintely would love to see your reaction🤗 Got this album on repeat right now 😆 Love your videos!! 🥰
Interesting end. I know she consider her self a Moonchild When ever i listen to King Crimsons Moonchild i think of Aurora, its like the song is written for her.(1969) You should check it out, it would be a perfect cover for Aurora. I agre with you the album is fantastic, its actualy my first listening exsept the earlier releases from the album and i think the album will grow on me.🌜
I think ''heathen'' could be study in feministe degree at university, Aurora put so much in it, heathen as forbiden, as banish cause Eve bit the friking apple all women were (and still are) seen as heathen by patriarcal religion who blame women for all the sin, so she sing to us to be proud of being a woman and be thankfull for all of those who came before and slowly but surely faught for our place, and also tell us to have fun, enjoy and be that heathen without any shame. (My point of view)
Love the album and your reaction but just wanted to clarify, we always had free will. If we didn't, Eve (and Adam ofc) wouldn't have been able to get the apple in the first place. Eve and Adam eating the apple stopped us from ruling over the animals as we used to, chilling all day, and stopped us (at that point) from having everlasting life. Album is a beautiful masterpiece regardless of this little misunderstanding!!!!!!
Lilith is not of canon of any Abrahamic religion. never present in Christianity, and only referenced in hebrew texts separate from canon scripture. also, she is a demon who eats babies and kills women in labor, and described as a "tormentor of the Jewish people", I wouldn't consider her someone to look up to or to praise😅
@@serphim805 the story of Lilith has been demonised by Hebrew scripture. She is actually also mentioned in the book of Isaiah. Aurora is celebrating figures in mythology as Lilith is such. She is definitely not giving any weight to religious scriptures as a measure of credence. Quite the opposite. Lilith was simply Adam’s first wife, created at the same time as he, who simply chose not to be obedient to him and exited the garden of Eden to become later paired with the archangel Samael. She rejected the idea of a subservient wife and the role of motherhood choosing independence. Yes she stole babies but the creative stories around that were to brainwash women into believing that there is no other life than to be subservient to a husband and be nothing else but a baby making machine. The archetype of Lilith must not be forgotten and honoured.
@@rosemay75 you’re correct, she was mentioned in isaiah in a roundup of demons, but other than that there are no canonical sources proving she was the first wife of adam. if you do find any, let me know! but i think it’s wrong to say that she was a symbol of breaking out of patriarchy, when the term “lilith” is still debated if its origins were even meant to be a singular entity or if lilith is just a range of feminine presenting forms of demons. the etymology of it is actually quite fascinating.
@@rosemay75 i agree with your point about aurora celebrating mythology and i think it’s wonderful but i do know a lot of people who would take the glorification of lilith in particular to be anti semetic, since her purpose is causing pain for jewish people. i personally don’t take offense to it, but i do try to help people understand judaic mythology in its true light
The instrument used in "Artemis" is the accordion, and it's a little bit of an homage to France because Aurora actually recorded this album in a castle in France!
Artemise Bandoneon, a cute lil accoirdionlike machine full of little round blackkeys, like buttons, not like the regular accoirdion..... Frenchie sound? don't think so, it's more BuenosAires, more Argentinian sound stunning, so well thought how did she come to this singing about Artemise Diana for the Romans the hunter goddess, the Moo, the master of sorceress FemaleMagic and Power!
Ok LOL you do listen to Aurora.. Low Key I thought TGWCT was going to be like Ten Love Songs.. Did you also notice on some notes Aurora and Susanne sound identical? (its not on all, but a certain portion of their register). I think Susanne is more controlled than Aurora, but they are both quite unique. I have my fingers cross they do something together one day.....

As someone said in the live chat, The Innocent reminds me a lot of Nina Simone with the instrumentals, but modern!

Moonchild i think of Aurora, its like the song is written for her.(1969)
You should check it out, it would be a perfect cover for Aurora.

Love the make up ☺️
Love your content! Do you plan to release an HBHBHB reaction?
absolutely :D x
Where did you find the comments of aurora about the songs, that you red out in the Video ?:)
I found them on Genius Lyrics ☺️
@@FernStone thanks!
In heathens, for me, i think Lilith would be more fitting than Eve but I guess Aurora was referencing from the modern bible.
Yes… I wonder if Aurora knows about Lilith? Surely?! 🤔
@@rosemay75 i agree with your point about aurora celebrating mythology and i think it’s wonderful but i do know a lot of people who would take the glorification of lilith in particular to be anti semetic, since her purpose is causing pain for jewish people. i personally don’t take offense to it, but i do try to help people understand judaic mythology in its true light
can you listen to thank u by aurora
probably out of your confort zone but i think you should listen to el mal querer
Must be the accent but you make me think of Kate Winslet.
the gods can touch. i think the “gods” are the women. the powerful women she sings about, like artemis and the mysterious woman from temporary high.
:)
❤️AURORA PLEASE COME TO UKRAINE🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Ok LOL you do listen to Aurora.. Low Key I thought TGWCT was going to be like Ten Love Songs.. Did you also notice on some notes Aurora and Susanne sound identical? (its not on all, but a certain portion of their register). I think Susanne is more controlled than Aurora, but they are both quite unique. I have my fingers cross they do something together one day.....
waiting for your reaction to lana's new song
meh
