- Today's video is a Ninja Sizzle review. We looked at this Ninja Sizzle Smokeless Indoor Grill and put it through some tests to see if it's worth buying. We cooked with both the grill and griddle, and cooked different foods. Is it worth you buying? Check it out and let us know what you think!

Why do you never tell the length of the warranty when comparing warranty etc on the different models
Good point, we'll try to include that! - J
Can you do Smash Burgers on this, or is it too fragile?
I think you could for sure. - J
Thank you so much for this video! I’m loving your channel - watching from the UK
Amazing ! Thanks so much for the support !! 🇬🇧🇬🇧. Marc
Hi, I just want you to know that I just stumbled across your channel. You reviewed the new Paul chopper review and it helped me make a decision about which one to buy so thank you but the other thing I want to say is thank you for describing everything that you do what things look like how your recipes turn out thank you for reading all the ingredients and you know the amounts and the ingredients and also the way to make the recipes as I am totally blind, so thank you for all that you guys are amazing
Thanks for that wonderful comment! We're glad we can help! - J
I just got this over the weekend and used it for the first time on Sunday. I love it so far. I'm thinking it doesn't slope down because if a pound's worth of bacon grease was constantly going into the trap there, it may overflow down the front. Just scraping the oil into it seems safer to me. I just plan on using some paper towels to soak up the grease if I ever cook that much bacon. I'm a single guy so the size of this is very appealing to me. That's why I'm replacing my larger Ninja grill with this one. It's big enough for me.
Awesome ! Thanks for your perspective. Marc
You could also put something, like a poker chip or really anything, under the back feet when you're cooking super greasy stuff...or just lift the back end up to let the grease run forward when you're done. If they'd have built it with much more angle then people would complain that eggs, pancakes etc were sliding down.
I save ALL my bacon grease to cook with!
It happened because he didnt click the grill in all the way. In the video he even hears the click, freaks out, and says “what was that”
Kind of negates his whole point about the grease trap.
@@vitogriffin8902 Thank you, my comment exactly 💯
Happy Thanksgiving fellas! Easily my favorite food related UA-cam channel. I'd watch yall review plastic silverware and enjoy it haha
Thanks so much for the great comment! - J
Great review! I’ve never seen this new Ninja product! I agree that the drainage for oil is not very good, it should have a slope to drain. That would be great if this had that also as I would love something with a flat top griddle. I’m watching you from Queen Creek, Arizona, USA! ❤ Love your channel!
Thanks so much for the support! We want to go golfing in Arizona! - J
Love the video !!
Happy Thanksgiving to you , and your families 🦃
Thanks so much! Same to you! - J
The next time you do something that has buns, you could close the lid and place the buns on top, to steam them!
Great idea ! Marc
Happy Thanksgiving & As always another Great Review !
Thanks so much, and same to you! - J
I just bought one of these with the flat top and this video was very informative and well done I enjoyed it were you guys full after lol
That’s awesome thanks !! Marc
Las Vegas here! I love your channel and videos! The grease well isn’t a deal breaker for me since I typically do bacon on sheet pan with parchment paper in the oven, but mainly I just want a griddle surface to cook on instead of using the frying pan all the time. This seems to fit the bill. I do have an electric griddle like the one you described your mom having, and mine totally collects dust in the cabinet too, lol! It takes up too much space to leave on the counter. Just a tip, but if you spread a bit of mayo on the english muffins before putting them on the grill, they’ll they should toast up better. I do it for grilled cheese too. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the great comment! - J
I'm a single/divorced guy living in an apartment. I think this is probably a good option since I can't have an outdoor gas grill here. Very thorough review. It's currently on sale for $99. And onions are standard in fajitas...
Good deal! And definitely standard... - J
Ever since i bought my Ninja Twisti blender and watched your video review on it, i haven't stopped since watching. I watched other reviewers, but they can't come even close on what you guy's do. #1 in my ( cooking ) book lol. The other's......blank spaces in my cooking book. Keep up the great work! #1 subscriber 😊 here.
That's so much for the support and the amazing comment! - J
The book that came with mine shows that the bacon is cooked on the grill plate chart, not the griddle chart 🤷♀️
Interesting. I'm sure you can do both though! Thanks for watching. - J
Love your videos, Marc & Jamie!!!
Love your ongoing support !!!! Marc
Your presentation is wonderful, love it ❤
Thank you so much !!! Marc
I plan to buy one of these to do some car camping/overlanding trips (I mountain bike). Any chance in talking you into doing some cooking that would work for something like that? Maybe pre-prep and bring it with?
We'll see what we can do. Thanks for watching! - J
Comparing the ninja smart xl pro 7 in 1 grill and griddle out of every other ninja indoor grills would the 7 in 1 be the best or which one is best?Thankyou!
This should answer your question ➡️ua-cam.com/video/GMLfrwqNExM/v-deo.html. Thanks for watching! - J
Hi. Linda in SW Florida USA. Please help!
I have the Sizzle GRILL ONLY.
Can I buy the griddle plate from the grill/griddle model or is it a different size???
Not sure. Maybe contact Ninja ? They might have accessories for sale. Marc
Im totally gonna try peanut butter and a hotdog 🌭! I'll let you know how it goes. Do you suggest just a regular hotdog, or are bratts ok too? This is the first video of yours that I've watched. I enjoyed it. It made me laugh! 😂
Happy New Year! 🎉
I live in WA state. Have you ever seen the meme about Marc with a C? The barista wrote, Cark! Lol
I recently purchased the Ninja Sizzle. I like it so far. I'm going to try a tritip tonight🤞. I find that is doesn't have even heating, however it hasn't been a huge problem.
Hahaha LOVE IT !! I’d do just a regular hot dog. Thanks for watching !! Marc
Love the video. Thank you. Walmart sells this model with only one plate.
Good to know thanks !! Marc
I went to Target for the one with both plates.
Just happened to me today. I suppose that’s why it was $20 cheaper at Walmart. It’s ok, I really wanted it for the grilling part. I live in a condo, this should work out well
Thanks for the video. The reason your bacon grease didn’t drain properly is because you didn’t press the grill into place in the first place.
That click you hear when you’re mopping up bacon grease with a paper towel was the griddle lowering into place.
I’ll have to try that out. Thanks for the heads up on that !! Marc
I have the Sizzle. In fact, my first one was returned because I felt (as well as Ninja) it ran exceptionally hot. The replacement is doing same thing. It is like it runs 25-50 degrees hotter than where dial is set. I actually love the grease well as it is easier to clean out than that on the 7n1 Griddle Grill. Then again, I have never cooked an entire package of bacon on the griddle. I prefer mine AF. As for the popping, mine does that as well. It may be from changes in temp causing expanding and contracting of metals. Is that a thing? 😊
Yup, I think that's a thing lol. Thanks for the comment! - J
Enjoy all your product review videos. Never had a whistle dog - ready to try it now (in Atlanta, GA). Gotta say I’m not a big fan of this machine. You could do the same things on the Ninja - Foodi XL Pro 7-in-1 Indoor Grill & Griddle - and still have the option to air fry on the same machine.
I agree !! Thanks for watching. Marc
Venting keeps it from steaming the steak and you can put the back legs on a piece of tin found doubled over to tilt it
👍🏼👍🏼
Hi from Delaware ❤ just got my sizzle tonite cant wait to try it out since i have no luck with outdoor grills...popping noise is if its new def will hear but if not change in temperature from the metals n heat is why...😊😅 love the video tho
Thanks so much! - J
I’m from the UK (Poole in Dorset). Love your videos. Makes my decisions easy on buy it or shy away. Why English muffins? Are American/Canadian muffins different? Or don’t they have them at all? X
Haha good question. It’s just what we call them lol. Marc
I want to see more videos from you guys especially Ninja Speedi recipes if possible , great camera work and commentary too . Well done keep it coming 👏👍Niall in Ireland🇮🇪
Thanks so much for the wonderful comment! We'll see what we can do! - J
LOVE Ireland !! Been there twice. Thanks !! Marc
Nice video and I agree it’s so basic as far as Functions are concerned really un Ninja like.
I have a Question please is it usual in North America that Fried Eggs which is what we call them
here in the U.K. (I am from London) that you turn them over.
Don’t you like a Runny York or Sunny Side Up as Americans call them?
We like our Eggs Runny 😋
Thanks for the comment! Yes it's totally normal here to flip the fried egg, we call that over easy if it's still runny. There's also over medium and over hard, depending on how runny you like it. I personally don't mind eggs runny but over here there's a wide range of how people like eggs! - J
Just ordered the Ninja Sizzle this morning and joined 2 Sizzle FB groups. Those users recommend having a stainless steel turkey baster on hand to remove grease from grill when it's hot.
That’s a great tip ! Marc
What is your top recommendation for an indoor grill?
We just shot the newest ninja grill video, stay tuned for that, worked great ! Marc
I wish there was an easier way to empty the grease tray. Removable or drains to a separate container. How do you deal with grease overage?
Agreed. Hope it doesn't overflow! - J
Love your videos, appreciate your reviews a lot. But peanut butter on a hotdog!! IDK I’ll have to try! Watching you from Ottawa!
Haha nice O TOWN 613 !! Beauty ! Don’t know it till ya try the PB ! Thanks for watching ! Marc
Hi Guys, Mark with a K here from the UK. Brilliant video as always, this reminds me of a George Foreman grill. Fun fact (maybe not fun), We don’t call them English muffins, just muffins and we don’t eat them much here apart from a McDonalds breakfast, cheers as alway.
Haha love that comment! Thanks for that! - J
1:19 My son just gave me one of these for Mother's Day. I cannot for the life of me get that lid to come off. I looked in the book and there are NO instructions. Are we supposed to have to take all those screws out to "pop" the lid off!? That's not my idea of "just popping the lid off" though. Anyway, if you could please show HOW to get that lid off I would greatly appreciate it.
It should just lift up I think? Anyone else have this issue? - J
I'm actually happier there isn't much of a slope, I'm happy scraping oil out the way if I need to. This way I'm able to get a better crisp on hash browns etc.
Also, if you did want the grease to drain for whatever reason I'm sure you could put something thin under the back legs to tilt it slightly. Hardly ideal I know but still a reasonable workaround... It'd be better if the back legs were slightly adjustable or something
Fair enough! - J
Yes agreed, easy workaround for sure. Just as part of the review we found that a big factor. Thanks for watching! - J
@@TheAverageKitchen it's a valid concern, I'm glad you brought it up! For my use case though I'm happy with it... I'll probably be picking one up at some stage. You can also bet I'll be toasting my buns in that bacon fat!
Roy from Belfast, we just bought one to add to our Ninja collection.
Awesome! How do you like it? - J
@TheAverageKitchen not used it yet as only unboxed it just before watching your review.
Keep us posted! - J
This favors the Black Stone E Series indoor electric grill except the Series has no griddle plate
Good to know! - J
Love watching you 2 I want this grill but live in the UK and the reviews say it is not compatible with UK voltage
Thanks so much!
That sucks though...we certainly don't know anything about UK voltage, unfortunately... - J
It's definitely available in the UK now. My only issue is that it looks small
@jamesgedling2447 it’s certainly not huge. Marc
Wife just won one of these at a Christmas party-think I will put a poker chip under each of the back feet to help the flattop drain easier
Great idea actually. Marc
That seems like really nice flat top. Thanks for the review!
Thanks for watching! - J
Hello. Thanks for your great videos. Your videos helped me with my purchase decision.
Many greetings from Germany.
Thanks so much! Glad we could help! - J
Prost !!! 🇩🇪. Marc
I bought one of these because I kept my pans too hot and caused a lot of smoke. this controls the temp and I cook my food perfectly.
Very nice! - J
Loving y'alls channel.
Thank you so much !!! Marc
If you guys do this one again (new and improved model perhaps?) I'd love to see how it's pancake game "stacks" up.
Good idea! - J
What is difference of gr100 and gr101 model?
Not really sure.
Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching. Marc
lol, after you were talking about people getting upset about 'onions' and 'over-easy eggs', I'm waiting for people to get upset about the mayo. We put a small amount of mayo and Dijon mustard on our breakfast sandwiches, and it's really good. :) One would think that a device like this should have adjustable back feet? Too bad they missed this. I do like this appliance however. Great review! :)
Great suggestion! And thanks for the comment! - J
Good vid... so, was it pretty smokeless?
I’d say for the most part yes. Marc
Great review, but do the oil splatter through the mesh holes
Thanks, not that we noticed surprisingly. Marc
Just got one of these and I might return it. Don't like ceramic coating
Fair enough! Thanks for watching! - J
More Combi videos fellas! Just got mine and as a single dude I have no idea where to start hahaha
We are shooting Combi vs the Speedi this week ! Marc
This or the blackstone e series?
We haven't reviewed that one yet but we'll see what we can do! - J
Thanks Gentlemen for keeping it real. Very much appreciated. Hate the bought UA-camrs.
Very much appreciated! - J
Everything looks delicious! Have you ever been to Denmark?
Thank you ! I have been to 20 countries in Europe so far. But i have yet to visit and Scandinavian countries. I’d love to go to Copenhagen!! Marc
@@TheAverageKitchen I'm sure you would love it here 😊
No doubt !!!
Darn, I just picked one up today and I didn’t get the flat grill part! 😡
Oh really? I didn't know that was an option. - J
I watched this vid again and it looked like you cooked everything at about 400 degrees so how could you compare other temp selections and how accurate they were
Thanks for watching it twice! Did we claim to be testing the accuracy of the temperature? - J
maybe you did not claim to but doing this for the public it would have been nice if you used an infared gun to test the heat setting@@TheAverageKitchen
Lol ok. Thanks for the feedback. - J
Lol ok. Thanks for the feedback. - J
The issue of poor draining of fats and oils is a definite negative
I totally agree. Marc
I use liquid smoke on my burgers when I cook them indoors.
Oh awesome ! Marc
My girlfriend wants one of these and i was like "what does it do that our stove cant do" (we are in an apt) and based on this, it confirms my thought. This is NOT a grill and it is totally unnecessary. It would be used for a month and then collect dust there after
Hahaha touché. Marc
Did you experience a lot of splatter? I was interested in this item but so many said it splatter grease all over their counters.
There's definitely some splatter, depending on what you're cooking. Keeping the lid down helps, but if you're making bacon, for example, splatter is inevitable. Thanks for watching! - J
Don't cook food with lots of grease in it if you don't want splatter
Bacon always splatters especially with high heat also i drain mine in between cooking pieces at a time.....just got my sizzle for belated xmas gift cant wait 2 try it❤😊😅
The larger chicken breast tool longer to cook mate, no surprises there.
If I want a crispy sandwich I throw the buns in the air fryer for a few mins, works a treat.
Thanks! - J
Was gonna buy this but think I'll hold out for a year in case they do an upgrade as it looks a bit underwhelming for £150 UK pounds.
That’s a steep price in my opinion. Marc
I think when they said Smokeless they meant it wasn’t gonna give off like a charcoal/gas kinda smoke.. kinda obvious that when u cook there is always gonna have some kinda smoke when cooking
Maybe. Thanks for watching! - J
It is very surprising there is no indicator light of when the grill has hit the dial temp you set. The grease problem I could fix by shimming the back of the machine. It seems they definitely had a strict price point in mind when designing this machine.
🤙🏼🤙🏼
When a grill does not have holes that allow the grease and juices to fall through, you end up steaming your steak a little.
Thanks for watching! - J
I feel so bad for the sizzler. It has been abused like a cheap 20 dollar electric grill and not used for it's functions. The tray to catch grease shouldn't be abused in one sitting or be self-draining. you're grilling on a flat surface for an even cook. Not to drain grease. I don't normally write to sound negative, but I just was surprised how much the lid wasn't closed the entire video.... Plus the grease going underneath the pan into the heating vents.... :O Oh my!
Understandably it shouldn't be expected to drain grease like a George Foreman, but this wasn't draining at all. Not sure I want the food swimming in that much grease the entire time? Thanks for the comment though! - J
So why is it there, if not to self drain? Seems silly you would need to usher the grease down the trap. Also, how is it a grill? The grill top is more akin to a griddle with a crinkle in it. This product is a scam. If you have a stove, it does nothing you can't simply do on your stove, with even more versatily and surface area. This would only be good if you didn't have a stove
@@TheAverageKitchenyou were more than generous with the scores you gave this imo
Worked well overall, but the draining component was disappointing. Thanks for watching. Marc
How was the smokeless part.
Actually not bad. I’m sure if you were cooking a bunch of burgers it would start smoking. Marc
Your counter isn’t level, the food itself ‘bacon’ holds grease around it while it’s cooking. Look at the seating surface of each of the exchangeable cooking tops for obstructions that would make it not level or the griddle feet itself. I love mine, it woks so much better then any others but when I received it as a gift I knew it was going to be a solid thing for my wife and I to make smash burgers at home and this thing made me the best smash burgers I have ever had on the first attempt! (Never made smash burgers myself)
That being said it’s a good size for a couples meal. Also just a thought, you could steam warm buns or preheat other things that don’t need to be hot on the top while you’re cooking burgers, I’ve had it since Christmas and don’t hate it…
Thanks for your perspective! - J
I can accept that someone possibly likes onions in fajitas, but peanut butter on a hot dog??????
Hahaha try it. Then we can talk…… Marc
I need something to sear a sous bide steak without messing up my stovetop or going outside.
Oops..sous vide
This might be what ur looking for…
I love Ninja products but this one makes me think they must be desperate to have a new product, what a waste, great post yet again, if i had not watched this i would have bought one and been very disappointed. North England, Gateshead where the Angel is.
Yea this one was just ok for us. Thanks for the support !! Marc
Can you do Smash Burgers on this, or is it too fragile?
Yeah absolutely you can. - J
The chicken breasts weren't the same thickness, that's why one took longer to cook through 🙂
Lol yes for sure, we understand that. Thanks for watching! - J
Love the video
Thank you very much !! Marc
Glad I watched you guys - you saved me $80 bucks and a lot.of grease to find a way to get rid of. Thanks!
Thanks for watching and the comment. Marc
perhaps lift the back of the unit with small rubber feet. mine with a steak drained ok
Good tip ! Marc
A&W should bring the whistle dog back
I agree !! Marc
Don't worry about the fat.....thats where all the flavour is....eat it up🤣...just don't eat that poisonous seed oil sh!te, that'll kill ya
Hahaha touché !! Marc
No burger test?
Did we not? - J
When cooking bacon u the grill part buddy
Not sure what u mean buddy

Wow that's super interesting. We'll keep our fingers crossed for you! - J

Love Alberta !! Marc
Maybe your work top isn't level, I love it so cheap so we'll worth it.
I don't think that's the problem but yes the price is right. Thanks for watching! - J
Everyone’s entitled to their opinion.. except leaving onions out of fajitas
😂😂🥴🥴
I can’t trust this video, you kitchen in not level. lol. Oh my. Just kidding. Great review.

Good one…. Never heard that one (insert sarcasm).

Haha loved visiting there !!
Constructive criticism = a little less rambling on about random topics, and a little more focus on the product being reviewed...
Think about it...when you are interested in the quality/performance of a product, do you want to wade through a bunch of off topic commentary to get to the meat, or do you want the information you were expecting and came for?
Just my two cents, thanks!
Thanks for the feedback! - J
@@TheAverageKitchen
Thanks for the understanding]/maturity.
Yeah, that was a no buy as soon as the bacon created that lake of fat and then the trap couldn’t cope.
I don’t blame you !! Marc
My parents have one of these and don't have issues with the grease. Maybe his counter isn't level?
The counter is granite and is definitely level. Who knows, maybe the pan had a twist to it.
Onions are a staple ingredient in all fajitas. I live in Texas and have lived all over the country and in Germany. All the fajitas had onions & green peppers. Where does that dude come from? 😂😂😂
Great question! Thanks for watching! - J
Thanks
