Looks like Lenovo upped the sale price on eBay because of demand. Keep eye on the listing and definitely check out the Lenovo website this will definitely go back down to $229 and that that price it’s hard to beat.
duh any time you make a video price of what you just said was cheap gooes up
Price to performance is hard to beat.!
And a large tablet is totally awesome. While still technically being in a small form factor.
Yeah this is something to consider. Compared to the S8 for sure.
What is the most powerful arm SOC at the moment.? And I wonder how it stacks up against APUs, GPUs and CPUs in The same price range.
Another really great video. Answering my questions before I can ask them.!👍👍
No it’s not bro, so ur homework and research. A foldable phone is 1600 dollers and an ok tablet is around 700(ther used in a lot of commercial situations ie hospitals check ins automotive etc) 300 is relative to specs your getting. Not bad for a mediated with the amount of cores and rom/ram
Let me know when it's $30. $229 is a rip off for a tablet.
@@Shuttterbugg Are you arguing with the obvious troll?
I picked up one last month, and I've been quite pleased with it. I haven't really stretched out gaming-wise...I've mostly used it for Plex viewing and comic reading, so I'm glad to see it getting an emulation review. I've noticed a few instances of slowdown here and there, and I hate how the case keyboard (nice board, crummy case) puts it into desktop mode automatically, but overall I've been pretty pleased with it.
Where did you find the keyboard? I can't find one for it. Reviews say the keyboard case for the regular p11 doesn't work
@@Droogie128 I picked up the keyboard pack on the Lenovo website (as well as the Precision Pen 3) when I bought the tablet. It's specifically for the Gen 2 model. They conveniently aren't even listing it on the website anymore. The lack of first- and third-party support is a major reason to consider buying Samsung devices despite the price delta.
I got 6gig or 8 I don't think 6 is cutting for me,heck I only watch videos
Is it working fine since ?
The indepth review is too good, the way tested this and gave your opinion on the product. Love it. Subbed
This is fantastic! Looking to upgrade my fire hd 10 for me and my wife. This is the kind of content I love from your channel--stuff that everyone can afford
Sounds like this is (was) a hidden gem. I'll be looking for it to drop again
Finally!!! Been waiting on a review of this model. Alot of reviews on it but not on gaming. Its a great price for the specs and panel. We plan on getting two for myself and the wife for travel
Just get a Galaxy Tab S8 it is much better.
Just got this tab... lovin it. Im seeing that most reviewers fail to mention or don't know that this tab has LDAC Bluetooth as well, even Lenovo don't advertise this feature. The one I bought has a 30w charger and I measured it does draw around 29w.
what's ldac bt for?
@@alexradu1921 better sounds thru bt
All android devices do LDAC
no they don't@@snowwsquire
I was literally only waiting for your vid to make sure this is the tablet for me, cuz I've heard praise all over but it ain't the same as ETA Prime
I have the tab p11 pro first gen with the snapdragon and can't be happier, for 200€ it's great, and emulation till PSP and below it's fantastic, great big screen too, writing from the tablet actually
Yeah me too, its on another level to the cheap tablets that I used to buy. He is slightly wrong about the GPU though. I just ran Antutu V9.5.6 on here and I get:
TOTAL) 720206
CPU) 197297
GPU) 247317
MEM)120087
UX) 155505
The old one (SD870) has a gpu score 7.6% higher. But still I think I paid like $100 more, so this is a very good deal.
would love to see more emulation testing (maybe SWITCH), and especially seeing everything in the productivity mode on a second monitor
So glad you made a review about this tablet. I just recently discovered the Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2 myself and I was suprised there weren't any satisfactory reviews out there! Great product for the price. Just ordered one. Still waiting for it to arrive. This review just made me more excited about it! Cloud gaming and emulation on a 2k OLED display for only $229?? Yes please!
You mean $400.
$200? Amazon sells this tablet for $339 and Lenovo sells them for $399 but you can get discount codes for first time purchases.
Lenovo is trash, you will see it on the long-term. That's why there's no satisfactory reviews They look good on paper but software optimization is garbage and components are low quality. The only exception is ThinkPad because that division is bought from IBM
@@Robin35758 Yeah I don't see where this $229 price is coming from, it is $294 for the 4gb model on their ebay store.
@@tendosingh5682 No, I mean $229. Lenovo just had a "doorbuster" sale on their website that ended yesterday. Some products were up to 75% off. The Tab Pro Gen 2 (4gb ram version) was $229 during that sale.
Another review that I can relate on . But my pocket can't. Nice job keep doing this videos.
I have the gen 1 (not sure if Pro) and it slowed down SO MUCH after half a year. Apps works fine but only one at a time, it takes a lot to go back home and open a new one.
And I had to install an old Netflix apk for it to work.
Glad they are significantly upgrading this moedel
Thank you for making this video! Love these budget devices!!
Owning a Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, and having played with the former Lenovo Tab11 Pro, it's incredible how Lenovo pushes for sales and doesn't give a s***t about updates and user experience. It's really the shadow of itself. Good deals are not the machine you buy, Bec in any case you don't have much choice on the OS.
Thank you sir, learning many things from you :)
I am interested to watch Desktop Mode video with this tablet.
Lenovo is doing a gr8 job these last years, AIO PCs, Laptops & tablets with very good quality & price, definitely a brand to consider among the best right now
Lol as soon you posted the review. They put the price back. I got one on sale . Absolutely love it. Recommend 6gb version on sale thought. 299$
I brought the gen 1 for the wife on 2021 Christmas and she still loves it, the OLED screen is gorgeous it also plays hd content on streaming apps, it went through a few updates when we first got it, and after Android 12 any early issues we had were fix. I got a different tablet the tab 13 that has an HDMI input i thought the idea is awesome but her screen makes me jealous. I wish more tablets include hdmi in, i heard they are coming out with a extreme tablet at CES and also includes hdmi in with the OLED fast refresh screen but price is higher. Hopefully you can get it and review it when it's out, my concern is it uses mediatek 9000 i think, and its equivalent as a sd 8 gen 1 we already on gen 2 and tablet for the asking price they said ag CES ($1,000) it would be out dated. I love your videos keep it up!
I thought you can use like every tablet with hdmi in via a HDMI to USB-c/ micro USB adapter. An app does the conversion.
At least ETA Prime showed it some time ago where he put an HDMI to micros-USB adapter on older devices and used them as second screen.
@@hassosigbjoernson5738 is that really possible?
Been waiting for this review for a while now!
Definitely interested in seeing the desktop mode in Lenovo's tablet . from what you showed it looks better than Samsung Dex
Thanks for this video. Waiting for the desktop mode review of this tablet.
Always a great video! Thank you!
I've been waiting on the new Pixel Tablet, I really needed a Tablet this winter, but bought a Lenovo IdeaPad instead to get by. I'm probably going to hold off now until the Pixel tablet but would not mind using this as a Drawing Tablet for Inkscape, Krita or GIMP
This looks most promising and for the price you mentioned I would take it immediately. Unfortunately, over here in Germany, I can only get it for about 500€ or more, which is ridiculous.
Same here in the Netherlands, that is just the thing with the EU taxes on electronics in general tho.
Don't feel bad, apparently that was a doorbuster price and is no longer at $229 but $399.
@@jponz85 Thought as much. Still, $400 is much less than 500€
Yep, I can get MacBook Air M1 for 850 euro right now, so this tablet makes no sense without 40-50% price cut...
Nice performance/specs under $300. My listings are coming up for $294 currently so this would be in direct competition with Cheaper Ryzen APU laptops around $300-350, Something like the AYN odin (I think is $250+), and a little ways off the steamdeck & razer handheld. If you are getting it around $199-220 I suspect that's an excellent price and really beats out something like an RP3+ in the power department. And if you are looking for MORE of a tablet and LESS of a dedicated handheld with built in controls this seems like an amazing device for that purpose.
I just wish Lenovo would sell an 8" version of this tablet. Excellent review as always!
With smartphones often 6,7 inch or even bigger, the market is not really there for 8 inch anymore, i think.
Lenovo legion y700 w/ hdmi out. ETA already made a video about it
looking forward to your desktop mode video to see DeX alternatives in this space
Excellent deal from Lenovo, thx for highlighting it👍
Nice vid! I wonder if the usb-c interface support video-in. So that I could be used as a wired second monitor?
Would love 2 know what u do with some of the devices that you don't use much anymore. Been a fan 4 a long time, keep up the content!
Hi ETA! Delightful as always. Does Lenovo have a function to use it as a second monitor, like Samsung does?
So I picked one up around New Year and it was only $229 from Lenovo on sale. This is a very good tablet for that price, and the screen is incredible. Great entertainment tablet.
ITS 399$ ON THAT LINK HE POSTED! I GUESS LOWER COST IS DEPENDANT ON HOW FAT YOUR WALLET IT.
Nice review! I just ordered the P11 Pro :-) btw. can you tell me where to get that live background with the sharks and the girl? (during the "overview" part)
Thanks!
Looks like the $229 deal was a one time thing, now it is $100 more.. around $330, i'll probably pick one up if there is another sale. Thanks for the awesome detailed review!! 👍
Wish I had waited. I have the P11 plus with the keyboard attachment. I love productivity mode. I may still get the pro.
Hey man great video, could you please let me know about the max resolution and refresh rate on the display out.
Hello from portugal...between this one and the new xiaomi pad 6..wich one should i go?...thanks ..and keep up the good videos👍👍
Hey picked one of these up refurb on ebay w/ 6gb ram. Love it.
Not entirely getting the same performance as you on the aethersx2, do you have settings you like? Or are you going default + changing to vulkan? And finally do you still need to enable vulkan in webview or some other way or is it just working? Thanks, I appreciate any info.
I still have my first gen p11 and still love it.
I hate that by the time these videos post the price shown is nowhere near what's showing on the shop sites. Its starting at $399.99 on Lenovo's website.
I bought one a week ago, what a deal, really awesome tablet!
the fact this is on ebay and I can use pay-in-4 is kinda dope lol this tablet might replace my chromebook tablet if I can get my USI pen to work with it
Desktop Mode through video output on 4:35 completely seals the deal for me. I don't see any new sub-$400 Android tablet with such capability. Even the Tab S6 Lite 2022 don't have it.
Talking about 3DS, can it use the connected monitor as the upper display and the tablet as the lower? Would be a nice follow up video.
Picked this up for my wife based on your review - thanks!
Great video!
i got this for $130 dollars refurbished (excellent condition) off amazon, 6gb memory model. cant wait to get it in my hands and start installing my roms and emus!
Hey ETA, I wanted to know how Burnout 3 Takedown was running on the PS2 emulator for Android.
Could you include it in your future testing please?
If I remember correctly from the P11 Pro gen 1 the speakers were JBL branded and Samsung uses AKG, but Samsung owns both companies, so not surprising that they sound near identical in quality.
When you stress test PS2, you should run Twisted Metal Black as that is a notoriously hard game to emulate at full speed.
Hey! How do you get those cool video backgrounds on the device?
Awesome review seems like a great tablet
I have this tablet and I love it. It's an amazing device
This one in the 4gb memory size was 298 cdn last week. Now it 519 cdn this week at the web site. eBay has it 383 and bestbuy here in Canada has it 383. All are the 128gb storage.
Pretty sure I'm going to be grabbing one of these now that Amazon seems to have abandoned the Fire HD 10 Plus in regards to major upgrades. I'll probably never buy a Kindle Fire tablet again for myself.
How good is the Display Output over USB? Can i get >60 fps at FullHD?
I want to play Genshin Impact on a PS VR Headset in Cinema-Mode.
Maybe you can add the power on attached external full hd displays onto your test setting.
desktop mode is game changing. Kompanio 1300T Mediatek is promising, and 8000mAh could last long
Cheaper bigger than the new razer handheld and it can do desktop. That is a really good value. Even if you only ever kept it docked to a tv.
Would you recommend this or the 8 inch legion y700 with the snapdragon chip?
Are there any windows 11 gaming tablets coming out? Only one I’ve seen for a while was Asus’s rog flow.
Do you think any of those new cloud gaming Chromebooks Asus and Lenovo have be good for emulation, specifically 3Ds and Game Cube emulation.
One issue I haven't seen anyone mention is the the video "enhancement" the do on low resolution videos, if you watch a video at 480p you can look at how oversharpened it makes the image with no way to disable it.
I wish they would put the Mediatek Dimensity 8100 into it. Smartphones with that CPU are pricewise even cheaper than this tablet. If that would be the case it would be an absolute powerhouse.
I have Lenovo P11 pro 5g
It has 8gb ram 256gb rom and snapdragon 750 5g processor and it support Sim. Run Games like butter. I have played Genshin impact on ultra setting. It's smooth. I bought it for 200$.
Ordered one of these just a few days ago for 200 usd. Should be here in a few days.
i was eyeing this for the past few days. unfortunately, the sale is over and the p11 pro (2nd gen) is back up to around $300 for the base model. the P11 plus was at around $170 but it's up to $190.
at the sale price, the lenovos are a deal and a half, but where they are currently, it's probably better to wait for samsung to have a sale, as you can get some screaming deals with samsung as well. i picked up a s7 fe 128gb, with the 6gb ram for $250, and i feel that it is solidly better than the p11 pro 2nd gen.
Dear ETA prime, I got the exact Redmi pad u review (the 4gb ram version).... But I have something I want to know from u.... Can u pliz suggest some modifying settings for dolphin and Aether sx2? I tried them, they run fine on the pad but not as smooth as I saw on ur video..... Tweaking setting on dolphin and aether sx2 is a bit difficult as they r not as simple as ppsspp
I wonder if it is possible to play upcoming The Division Resurgence mobile shooter game on this tablet, in desktop mode and with mouse/keyboard. If that's possible I would buy one. :)
I have the CN rom SD870 variant. Only gripe I have is that the CN rom does not suppprt productivity mode unless you connect it to an external monitor. On the global rom you can turn it on/off in the settings regardless if its connected to a monitor or not. Another issue is the late notifications.
would it be possible to get a global rom on one?
@@Matthew_MBG no, the SD870 variant doesn't have a global version. Only the MTK variant has a global version
@@serge0251 alright, how does the china rom work, do you notice any bugs or disadvantages (ota updates, pc mode, etc)?
@@Matthew_MBG i still get ota updates although it is seldom. Only downside is the notifications, they dont push through, you need to open the app to receive all notifications. Its a minor thing but i got so annoyed with it i just got myself a tab s8+ and gave my lenovo tab to my daughter. Im not sure about the global MTK version if it also has that issue
@@Matthew_MBG btw, i just got an ota update, productivity/pc mode is back on the toggles which is good
$208 right now on ebay 6gb model , mine arrives today ❤
After frying my brain on so many videos, comparisons, reviews and spec lists I am still not sure what is the best buy between Lenovo Tab P11 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 5, Huawei MatePad 11 Pro, Xiaomi Redmi Pad, Realme Pad and Chuwi HiPad Max. Any advice? Mainly used for study and work (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Docs), streaming (UA-cam, Netflix, Disney etc.) and some light gaming.
Keep in mind there are various configurations mainly 4 gig and 6gig and there's a version with a regular LED screen not OLED and prices are between 329 and 429 with the other versions
You mean LCD not LED
Just bought one of these last week to replace a Galaxy Tab S5e and I'm pretty happy with it. A couple of Android version updates would be nice but I'm not holding my breath. Still an upgrade as I was already using a tablet that stopped getting Android version updates over a year ago.
Hi I also have a Samsung Tab 5se and fancy this Lenovo can you please tell me exactly what you find better I use mine mainly for video content and music with the odd cod game
@@ipaddy Mainly it's just smoother and faster overall. I starts MUCH faster from cold boot, restarts MUCH faster, apps launch faster, app switching is way smoother. Plus the screen is a little larger which is nice. It is a little heavier and I really miss the fingerprint sensor on the power button, but I'm fine with that given how much faster/smoother it is.
@@vinyfiny thanks for getting back to me so fast just the info I needed to hear 👂
Is it working fine since then ?
@@osamaaftab99 Yep, no issues.
Lenovo needs to do a better job keeping up with Android security patches (at least) if they're not going to keep the core OS updated.
March 2022 is the last security update I've had on mine (which is stuck on Andoird 10).
You always my legend
I use my tablet mainly for music production on the go, just getting ideas down. My current tablet is powerful enough to do the work, but the audio system adds so much latency that I can't use it for this... I end up having to use my much less powerful phone, because it doesn't have the sound latency issues. Any ability to test this sort of thing to see if it would meet my needs?
When in Desktop Mode the way you had it, could you drag that browser window into the tablet screen for a true dual screen setup???
Would have loved a stress test to see how stable performance remains. If it down clocks up and down it's not great for such a large device
Hello. I am thinking of buying it . Can you tell me can it show deep black or just showing greyish black . And quality of oled?
ETA would it be fine if you add CTR:NF on switch emulator on every emulator testing? Thank you.
Great video
Are there any USB-C tablet hubs that allow power and data throughput at the same time and support all the other features like display out? (Hopefully running off USB-C from the vehicle cigarette lighter) I’m hoping to use an android tablet for touring and when I stop I want to be able to put usb storage in the hub for audio or video
Please do a detailed video on the desktop mode.
I was trying to get a lenovo y700 but it's not available in NA. Can you play AOV so we can see how it looks like? THanks so much for the video!
Exactly the same issue here lol. I just bought the 11 pro gen 3 on Walmarts app for 319. Hope all will go well with it. For the price and countless hours if research I did jaja. This was the best one available for the price point. Also it comes standard now with 6 gigs of ram no option for 4 or 8.
I like to see how the power armour 18T or the 19 work on genshin impact and gamecube/ps2 emulator
Please add 3D Mark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test (20 loops) to your reviews for better longturn performance. Peak Performance isn't that important.
Which version of the tablet do you have in the Video. I was wondering if the 4gb of Ram version will be enough for emulating games.
Impressive at 4GB. Any chance of reviewing the 8GB model?
Definitely interested in Desktop mode. My Lumafusion Beta isn't compatible with my older tablets, and I'm beginning to rue paying for an app I can no longer use! (sold the only phone it's compatible with).
I wonder how much difference there is between 4gb and 8gb
I'd be interested in some battery life tests.
How long do you get out of it gaming vs watching youtube vs reading ebooks/comics?
I got the gen 2 with 4gb, the battery life is not very good, im getting less than 10 hours play with mostly youtube videos playing and 1 or 2 hours max playing some not very demanding games... disapointed with the battery for sure.
@@hammerjoe2008 That's kinda what I figured gaming wise. If I'm only using it about 5 hours a day for mostly youtube and comic reading (I'll leave gaming for the desktop), I'd likely only need to charge every other day. I'm just looking at a good budget replacement for a much older samsung tab.
Wish this model was available last black friday... I returned home with a Tab S7FE and that tablet is just a lagfest compared to this Lenovo one, or a similarly priced iPad 9. Samsung should up its hardware game with their more budget oriented models
I would be interested in your opinion of "ZONKO 2 in 1 Tablet 10 inch".
One day I plan to buy a tablet or mobile with desktop mode, I think it's about time.
Man I miss 7” nexus tablets, they were only $200 back then
Simple question .. can i charge while using hdmi out (ssb ) while the tablet screen is off ? ( given i got the right adapter )
This looked fantastic until I saw that they hiked the price quite a lot but was completely and utterly put off when I saw the UK price where only the 8Gb model is available, £439.99 ($529).
I wanted to know how the precision pen feels on this, and if it is even sold together with the tablet
I just bought a tab S6 for $200. Deals are out there!
Lenovo site and eBay are showing this model for $300+. Even from the link in the description. I'm not seeing that $229 price tag anywhere!
where the hell did you get this wonderful animated fish background????
this tab is going for 550$ in my country right now, lenevo is importing fully assembled units from china so they are paying 80% import duty + 28% gst for this device. samsung tab s8 goes for the same price
I have a China model Gen 1 I got it at a bargain price and it's WAAAAY better than an iPad for web browsing and UA-cam. Only problem is Netflix doesn't work on it no matter what method I use.
