This is a great feature, I was PC free for a couple of years with my Samsung Tab and Samsung DEX. It is possible to do everything but when it comes to documents and file sharing it does become frustrating like uploading documents to governent sites for tax and health reasons or banks online they just weren't compatible with android browsers and I would have to dust off the laptop and do that stuff. Word processing was also painful I was only using google docs because I didn't want to buy microsoft office but unlike a PC what you see on the screen is how it prints with Android when it prints the formats change and if you share the file to someone using a PC or Mac it changes to like 1 page become 1.5 page the borders and margins are different even the text font will change.

@@waltwright84 I think technically that requires a conversion chip or something so that might be more expensive. Nice to hear though because some TVs still don't have displayport
I thought that ones that had a conversion chip were those cables made to give video out to phones without native video out. If your phone has video over USB-C from the factory then you can just buy a basic USB-C to HDMI cable for under $15 from pretty much any store that sells cables.

Easy to uninstall the bloatware and use Nova launcher, malware scans came back clean and im well happy tbh, not since the old 7inch google play tablet of old have I been so happy. 😂 In the next version perhaps having GPS module and maybe OLED screen would be things to improve. I don't look at what he does as real reviews, and I don't mean that as an insult either. I get a lot of value out of ETA by using his showcases as a filter. If he can't make something seem interesting and adequate for my uses in under ten minutes then I know to not waste my time watching much longer full length reviews elsewhere.

I wanted to use a gamesir controller grip with this, would the USB C for just charging would work for the buttons inputs??
Update.... It works with it but you need to connect a USB c female double female to the gamesir g8 charge port and to the y700 usb C side one then it trick the system and it works, you have to do it everytime..
I saw some posts on reddit that it doesn't do audio output well from usb-c to hdmi . Can anyone confirm this ? Can you play audio output to a TV well ?
just wondering if anyone has experience with productivity on microsoft office for this? would like to know how well it works on desktop mode!
This PC mode is almost useless because it can only mirror the display from the tablet.
Have you figured out how to add apps to the desktop of desktop mode?
omg, this tablet is so awesome, Samsung Galazy tab can do this?
Cracking little tablet, I was looki g to replace my Galaxy tab 8 plus with so.ethi g of equal power but smaller for when I travel as an media/entertainment device and this fit the bill nicely, Ordered sealed 16gb/512gb with the chinese rom via AliXpress to the UK £280 🇬🇧 with zero problems, no import costs and was here in under 10 days, with an free glass screen protector and official airflow case (Bit flimsy tbh).
Easy to uninstall the bloatware and use Nova launcher, malware scans came back clean and im well happy tbh, not since the old 7inch google play tablet of old have I been so happy. 😂
In the next version perhaps having GPS module and maybe OLED screen would be things to improve.
But a perfect little compact high power media device for travelling with.

Tell me guys pls why i didn't get Pc mode at setting?
Does battery drop in desk mode? Tried many old devices, battery drop even in charging.
It's possible to install Android 13 or 14 on SSD to use it on any PC?
Is it 8 Plus Gen 1 or only 8 Gen 1? Cuz I saw one on AliExpress which holds the 8 Plus Gen 1.
It’s 8+ Gen 1, the older model is an 870

Hey does it comes with original sealed from giztop?
can the main monitor turn off and just use the second monitor as PC mode?
I'm curious: how many small computers do you own?
How many monitor that can connect to this tablet in one time?
How many apps actually can run simultaneously in PC mode. Is it restricted to 5 apps?
Can I use the extended mode without a mouse ?
Hi. When I connect y700 to monitor and play with xbox one controller, time to time a game (hollow knight in my case) can't see it in the middle of gameplay. Controller still connect to y700 and I can operate with it on screen of the pad, but I can't return to the game and resume to play with controller. Anybody know how to fix it? I think in mirror mode wouldn't be such a pronlem, but I want to play in extension mode without black bars on the sides
Hey buddy, love the content got a question. Is there anyway you can help me out? I was able to get one of the 2022 Lenovo Legion tablets as well however since I ordered it from AliExpress having trouble with the Google stuff, the settings and getting apps downloaded from my proper region I live in Texas Help lol
I have Lenovo Legion Y700 2023 version with a global rom. Any idea why my game features won't work at all. I can't use the gaming panel where are those cool features. There is the button but it doesen't work. It just doesen't show up. Can't also find the Lenovo Real from the Play Store. What rom I should flash in it or how I can fix this issue some how without flashing a new rom. Any glue? Pls, help me...
Should I flash the Chinese rom in this device or does it matter after all to be without example the game panel. Is it a big deal anyway... ? 🤔 Otherwise it works perfectly. Maybe the global rom just doesen't have all the features.
At some point you start to realise these videos aren’t reviews but more adverts instead.
A while back I saw a commenter refer to ETA's videos as showcases and I really liked that description. He showcases tech products and some of the cool stuff they can do.
Can it do youtube in pip mode under the productivity /pc mode?
I just got mine and when I mirror to stream onto obs studio, the frame drops drastically, its is brand new fresh out of the packages, do you have any ideas as to why this is??
What is that stand you are using?
Can you put the screen in sleep mode while in desktop mode?
Regarding this Tablet, Can the desktop UI/mode be used on the native tablet display WITHOUT an external monitor/display ??? And can the desktop mode windows have minimize maximize and close on the upper right corner of each window like in conventional PC windows ? Someone who knows please let me know. Looking forward to buy this !
Yes you can you can see him mirror it to the monitor before making a second display
pc mode does support in native tablet without an external monitor. This feature is launched in the latest update.
Yes to both questions
This PC mode is almost useless because it can only mirror the display from the tablet.
What would you recommend xiaomi pad 6 or legion y700 both are comparable in terms of specs but xiaomi pad 6 have official keyboard attachment and bigger
pad 6 only have sd 870 while y700 2023 have 8+gen 1
pad 6 doesnt have pc mode but y700 does
pad 6 have hyperos which has better software but y700 have beast hardware
pad 6 doesnt have micro sd but y700 have it
both tabs dont support sim cards
Imo the advantage for xiaomi pad 6 is the software/big screen probably future proof but y700 2023 has almost everything but the software is a risk to take since lenovo barely updates. However, I dont think that is a bad thing since I own the legion y70 and it only had 2 updates since early 2023 but it still smooth (fortunately, it will have a major update this year)
@@ShiroKage-h8v oh nice, that's really good news. I honestly like the PC mode on the legion, that is, for me, quite the game changer for both of the tab (which also means that samsung tab is the best tablet actually as it got dex mode and basically everything) but the price of samsung you know, 💀💰
Anyway thanks! Going for the legion then
@@giortaro I hope you'll be happy with your choice, good sir! Also, the dual type c port is a game changer for tablets. Btw I forgot to mention it is only cn rom if you didnt know
Controller suggestion for this?
Have you checked out Samsungs dex updates they've made it really fluid when transitioning from tablet to dex or whatever your using. A lot of nice new features like be able to create different accounts just like a pc
i have this exact same tablet from the video, global firmware. im also able to create different accounts and the transition from pc mode to tablet mode is very similar to dex. Samsung software is still better in many regards but the y700 can do a lot
This PC mode is almost useless because it can only mirror the display from the tablet.
