Chocolate fudge all the way, years went by without toasting them but on that fateful day when Tart meant toaster...gold was struck.

Yes, the original pastry was much better tasting. I don't know when they. changed the recipe, but I'll be it was to use high fructose corn syrup instead of sugar. I don't eat them as much anymore.

At least 115 flavors. I’m flabbergasted by that. I know brown sugar cinnamon, chocolate, strawberry, apple, cherry and blueberry. That’s not even double digits. That’s… Wow. Great video!

I *KNEW* that *Grape Pop-Tarts* were real. Nobody I talked to believed that there used to be grape-flavored Pop-Tarts. I don't remember actually eating them, likely because my mom preferred that I eat "healthier" meals. I wish that they would bring this flavor back so that I could finally taste what I missed as a kid.
My favorite flavor as a kid was probably either strawberry or blueberry Pop-Tarts.
My favorite flavor today is the frosted brown sugar cinnamon Pop-Tarts, although I still like strawberry and blueberry Pop-Tarts, too.

You should have mentioned Danish Go-Rounds too. Their own brand aimed at adults. They'd also come back a few years later in a different shape as Danish Rings

These are absolutely one of my favourite comfort foods, even if they're almost impossible to find outside of importers and... for some reason, Woolies here in Australia. Hot Fudge Sundae is the absolute GOAT in my opinion! Chocotastic is alright, but Brown Sugar Cinnamon just hits _right_ on a cold dreary morning.

No way! In Denmark the hindbærsnitter is exactly like a Pop-Tart! There is no way that wasn’t the inspiration. Maybe the technology made it non-perishable, but the Danish Pastry has to be the inspiration!

I thought it was a somewhat newer invention because it's only been available for sale for a year or two now and then where I live.
But sold poorly because it's quite expensive for a Kellogg's product. Almost 4€ for a pack of 8 pieces.
Wait a minute, they are for a toaster, I thought you eat them out of the pack.
I didn't even know that there was a filling in it. I always thought that it was some kind of milk cream that was put on the pastry, like on a slice of bread.

Pop trats tasted great in the 1960's and early 1970's, not now though, they taste like chemicals.

Here's what I'm hearing: in the 60s a shelf stable (and probably unhealthy) dog food was invented and because it's profitable a shelf stable ( and unhealthy) human food was invented to mirror those profits... and here we are 60 years later and health has indeed declined ever since...

    • @danceswithcomicbooks7733

Health hasn't declined because of pop tarts. We are actually living longer since the 60s.
