- It’s certainly easier to make assumptions about people than it is to spend time getting to know someone. We wanted to put assumptions to the test to see what we're missing out on because we're so busy assuming we already "know" a person. Join us as we discover why you should never judge a book by it’s cover in our series, Reverse Assumptions.
We are all conditioned with certain biases. In this experiment, we challenged these biases by asking people to make assumptions about their partner's appearance without ever actually seeing their partner. When they flipped around to finally face each other, they were shocked by how wrong they were.

What? It doesn't geographically exist? Then where have I been living these past 30 years? I live in Palestine, and it does geographically exist, and it's always been in existence. Get your facts straight please.
Palestine had no official status until it became a British Mandate following WWI and the land unofficially known as Palestine previously shifted geographically multiple times so it was never modern-day Israel and the Palestinian territories as purported. Under British control, anyone who lived in British Palestine was a Palestinian, not just Arabs, thus Palestinian was not a nationality assigned to one particular ethnicity, religion, or ethno-religious group. Most of what modern-day Palestinians believe is their ancestral land is historically not. Feel free to fact check. Other than needing to clarify that, I enjoyed the video.

I'm gonna guess you don't know where Pakistan is and you don't know where Arabs are from.
I think it's a very common misconception.
A'chynee Edmundson I've never heard anyone refer to a Pakistani as an Arab before, this is the first. But I'm not from the US so that is probably why. Valerie Roxanne if you don't have Arab friends or family to educate you then do a little research and educate yourself, it takes little to no effort. Though I'm surprised you have to ask. This is primary school knowledge in Australia.
Luptuous Life not everything learned in elementary (primary) school is retained. Even if it was taught at some point in time during a geography class or something, the US very much does not focus on teaching a lot about Asian or African countries unless you take an area specific class. I think his mistake was good because now those who did not know will know. I also think it's interesting that he wasn't aware. I would think a person that actually lived in an Asian country would be more privy to that information.
Valerie Roxanne , dear , arabs are not easterner than middle east . Pakistan located in the east side of middle east (outside of it) , where India , Afghanistan and west-border of China is located . Arab world is no more than (north africa + middle east) PS : Iran is also in middle east but the main tribe there, is Persian not arab .
