I've been doing the reverse hanger trick for several years now and it really does work. It has really helped me realize which items are not being worn and perhaps need to go. I cleaned out my chest of drawers today and it was so nice to get things nice and tidy.
Your wardrobe looks fantastic but I don’t have the space for something like that. That doesn’t mean that I can’t get inspiration from some elements of it. One of my tasks for this year is to do the first stage of reorganising my bedroom storage. I am desperately short of drawers so I want to get some IKEA ones as the first stage so I can get knitwear out of the wardrobe and create more space. It’s been so helpful to see how you do your wardrobe and I am really grateful for the ideas that you have given me.
I so enjoy watching and learning about organization from you. I especially like the hanger tip. I will adopt that for sure. I've heard about it, but because I'm so 'fussy', I needed the hangers to be all the same way. I even have my clothes on the color hanger that the piece is. Now I will think of you and feel I'm doing the right thing by seeing what I really do wear. Great job. I Love Sundays because of you!
Your website is incredible. Thank you for making it so user friendly and aesthetically pleasing. It’s clear you put a lot of effort and thought into your work.
Hi Eileen. Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful videos. I have learned such positive ways to downsize my life from watching you and hearing all of your suggestions. I absolutely love the way your wardrobe is organized. ☺️
I never thought to only turn the hangers around if you wore something. I always heard to turn the all backwards and turn them as you wear them. Your makes way more sense.
Hello Eileen happy New Year to you and family from Melbourne. I have been watching you for a long while and from someone who considers herself well organized I never dreamed I wanted to go down the minimalism path, but i'm gking to. Later this year I will be returning to Europe and I will have 2 house packs to go through, sort out and dispose of as well as running a full house renovation. The skills you have taught/ shared with us with be very useful not only for my wardrobe but my other arche nemisis, the kitchen. For me it's where my luxury pieces hide. Can you tell me please the soft sided dividers that you have in your draws do they come from Ikea and are they sold as individuals or multiple bundle items. I look forward to all you bring us in 2023. Best wishes😊❤👩💼
Would you be able to share where you got that cream/black striped knit jumper from? I absolutely love it but I can’t seem to find it anywhere!! Thank you and I love your videos!! 🥰
Oooo…when I closely look at your closet space I see lots of room. I see and extra hanging rod added to the far left and all the handbags at the top over each separate section and your excess jewelry and small clutches filtered into the drawer area at the far right. 😂 Yes, I see some new items in your future…lol 😂. Question, do you ever get your sleeves on certain items altered? I see you have some rolled up and I’m guessing the arms are too long for you. I was wondering if you’ve ever done altering on a nicer knit sweater. 🤔🧥🕵🏻♀️
I’ve certainly learnt to embrace space, it’s much more refreshing than hoarding mindless clutter 😃 as for knits, I’ve mentioned before that I really like my jumpers to be oversized. It’s just a personal preference, but I usually buy my jumpers one or two sizes bigger to create a more baggy look. As a general rule of thumb, if I feel like something needs altering, I simply don’t buy it 🙈
I hope you answer this question because I'm really curious with these types of open closets. Are the clothes hanging not laundered? Because in our household, everything in the closet needs to be washed. Clothes that you can wear again go on to hooks. I'm doing this now and it's not manageable so I'm wondering if your closet is a mix of clean and "dirty" clothes...

Why don't you trust her discipline?
Minimalism seems like a conscious choise for her and I don't doubt her at all.
Space doesn't excist to be filled.

@@ColourfulNoir I understand, I wear my sweatshirts oversized ❤️

Sounds like you’ve misinterpreted my comment.
