Steek Reinforcement + Cutting

I have been asked several times to do a video for steeks and I finally got one done!
This video will be a tutorial to accompany my Shetland Trader Book Three but it applies to any steeking!
I demonstrate how to do a crochet reinforcement here and then do the cutting part!
Hopefully this will be of use to some of you!
There are loads of great steeking tutorials out there so if this one doesn’t help keep exploring others!

I have an even number of steak stitches (6 sts) so there is no center stitch. Just wondering how to approach this?

Did you block prior to reinforcement?
