- Hi, I'm Audrey! In my first Flosstube I introduce myself and talk about how I got into stitching, share some finishes and one particularly special FFO, plus I'll share my plans for #stitchmaynia.

So so excited to have found you! The reason you are doing flosstubes is exactly the reason I watch them! None of my friends stitch. Lovely friends but no stitchers 😂 and I also have had animated convos w my sweet tolerant husband who really doesn’t care but tries so hard to act like he understands what I’m saying. Bless him. I started embroidering at about 10. I started cross stitching about 35 yrs ago and never looked back. Flosstube has been amazing for me just to hear from kindred spirits! Thanks!! Keep making them please ❤❤

Your first floss tube was amazing.... to see you change the colors and patterns to suit what you love is wonderful. I love your upbeat personality. I too want to stitch Dutch Beauty. Such a classic piece. I started it once using 2 threads and now realize I want to do it on 40 count with only one thread. I have been stitching since I was 6, taught by my grandmother who raised me. I did have a cross stitch shop for several years and did custom framing as well. The most enjoyable job I ever had. I will look for ward to seeing more of your channel on floss tube. I have a bunch but not a bunch stitched yet. I tell myself I am investigating in my retirement. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
I’m in Central Texas and got to travel and went to Persnickety it’s a nice shop. I also go to go to a shop called Always in Stitches. It’s quilting and stitching. It’s in Noblesville, IN. Have you ever gotten to go there? It’s a really nice shop too.

I love mill hill bead kits I have done tons of them, especially Christmas, to display and the littles to decorate a small tree in my craft room. I do lots of other cross stitch, too. I piece quilts, scrapbook, and make cards. Love your first floss tube!

I’m obsessed with the Mill Hill Santa faces. The ones I have not yet purchased are sitting in my 123 Stitch wish list so I don’t get duplicates. I can only handle two or three WIPS at a time. I have quilted for years and have so many UFOS. When I started cross stitching again 5 years ago I knew I had to keep it under control. I can only handle one craft that is totally out of control!
I've done some of the Santa faces! They are adorable! And yes, better to add to the wishlist than to the stash lest we forget what we have! 😂
My stash of Mill Hill is way bigger than it should be! I just finished one tonight that has been a WIP for longer than I can remember…Spring Feather Tree. Your restraint is inspiring!

What fun you are! I am an 84 year old woman in central Texas, and I thoroughly enjoyed your first flosstube. I have two sons that are now in their 50s, but I remember when they were 9 and 11 and wanting to sew on my Bernini and loving projects they could do. I stitched birth samplers for cousins and wedding samplers for other family members. I moved on to quilting but came back to crossstitch when I watched my first flosstube…..Colorado Crossstitcher….Sheri….she’s great! I hope you will keep up flosstubing, Audrey. I’ll watch for sure! Hi, Terri! Thank you for watching! I wish I knew the name of the kit but I no longer have the pattern. I took a quick look on eBay and couldn't find anything there. It's easily 20+ years old so it will be hard to find if there are any out there but Mill Hill has some super cute things that they've released in the last few years that could easily be turned into pins. Hope this helps!

Thanks! That organizational unit was purchased at Ikea and few years ago but I believe they still have those peg boards and the various hooks, holders, and boxes that can easily be attached. Hope this helps!

Hi, just a handy hint when doing your presentations. Please view one of your previous recordings and observe how many "Ums" and how often you say it. Could you please practice speaking without saying um.
When I did presentations, I made a list of items I wanted to talk about. This helped to present a really interesting, clear and enticing presentation and encouraged return people.

Hello! I am sure you are right about the frequency with which I use filler words. I hope I have improved over the ten months since I started making videos though I will never be perfect. I do sometimes use notes but even still these videos are conversational and informal in nature and there will always be some "ums" and "anyways" and other fillers. It seems like you ‘ll be making a significant amount of progress on your WIPs fairly quickly without an overwhelming amount of projects. I always enjoy seeing the picture insert of where the project was at in the previous video. I am a seasonal stitcher so I’ve been working on spring patterns. I try to have going what seems manageable also. You have a fun personality, I’ll be sure to look at your instagram 😊
I like to stitch in season as well but sometimes I can't help myself and do a Halloween project around the new year and continue Christmas ornaments into spring. I'll work on learning the ins and outs of UA-cam and hopefully my videos will improve but I appreciate your watching and your kind comments!
