- Welcome to my brand new Flosstube channel.
In this video I'll be diving into some of my recent cross stitch, embroidery and quilting projects and showcasing my upcoming WIPs. I'll also let you have a sneak peek at my ludicrously large stash. You'll also hear about some of the amazing Flosstuber friends that I've met at various trips and retreats.

I so enjoyed your first video and I so understand what you are saying. Our youngest left home a few years ago and it does get quiet. I still had our dog to keep me company , but much to our sadness he passed away July 22 and I am totally lost without him during the day, now the house is totally empty and silent. I am lucky I have my stitching and as a recent stitcher (I quilted for decades, but wanted something smaller to work on) I still have much to learn. I became a stitcher when I found out about flosstubes and love them to keep me company and to learn.
You are a natural and I love your projects!

I love all your projects! They are stitched and finished perfectly. Stitching is a solitary hobby. A lot of us don't have stitchy friends. That's what's great about FlossTube. We can share our passion with others who are like minded. I look forward to watching your next video.

I too am a solitary stitcher - my husband and I are farmers in Zambia so live pretty remotely! I feel all the people I watch on flosstube are my friends. Thank you for sharing.

I, too, am a lone stitcher. My friends I used to stitch with have either moved away or too busy with life. I really miss the fellowship. No one in my family is the least bit interested in my stitching. I am a homebody & can stay home for days and days & be perfectly content as long as I have my stitching, my little dachshund, and Flosstube or an audiobook. Your work is beautiful! So creative! I look forward to more Flosstubes to come!

Wonderful ❤. I kept saying through out your entire floss tube- ME TOO!! From Frankie goes to Hollywood, all the 90’s framed stitches I have, and the fact that I only really want to go out if I’m getting hair or nails done. Or out with my adult children. No one around me understands this world, thank goodness for floss tube!!!Kindred spirit all the way in Texas. Love all your finishes! I haven’t done embroidery in quite a few years but seeing your kit inspired me. All those pretty pastels and soft muted colors!!

Thank you for introducing yourself and showing so many of your beautiful projects. It’s ashamed that postage has gone so high. In June here in the US the postage is going to increase yet again. It’s just dreadful that it costs and arm and a leg but gets slower in receiving our letters and packages. I started cross stitching 50 plus years ago but stopped when I had my two children. Didn’t have any spare time to myself, then I went back to work when my littlest was 2 1/2 years old. Just couldn’t pay bills on one paycheck. Now I’m retired and have all the time to myself. I to really enjoy just staying at home especially in the 7 months of winter we get here in Wisconsin. So in the summer I ran like crazy all over visiting and enjoying the countryside by car. We’ll nap time . Looking forward to listening to you next month. You did a great job for it being your first time doing a floss tube. Never would have guessed it. Take care, Darlene Creuzer

I’d encourage you to share your stitching on IG as I have a lot of non-stitching friends and family that are following me there… They know I stitch and if they love me they know it’s my passion and if they don’t, they certainly don’t say anything negative. In fact, several non-stitching friends have commented and said how beautiful they think something is. So just go for it, we’d all love to see your finishes up close…You have so many gorgeous ones just in this first FT.

Absolutely fantastic , I came over fro Brenda and Laura's Channel catching up on some flosstube. It was a joy to watch you, like most of us we all have way too much we will never stitch, so I just consider myself a collector of the patterns as well as a stitcher. Like you I cross stitch, embroider, knit a bit, crochet, Quilt, needle point It if has thread or yarn, i am usually doing something with it. Your girls will pick it up once they settle in their lives and and need something to calm their nerves lol.. Welcome to the Crazy group of wonderful floss tube.

Lovely 1st video and I must say, your stitching and finishing is wonderful! I had to laugh at the end where you are talking about not being much of a talker and how you love to stay home, your video proves how much you enjoy your stitching because of how easy it is for you to talk about your pieces and plans. I have 3 girls too and they aren’t interested in stitching either, but like yours, they are in a different time of life. I found you through a shout-out from Brenda and Laura and did exactly what they said to do, ‘pause their video, go find your channel and watch’ and I’m so glad I did! Now I need to go back and finish watching theirs. My soul-mate lives near Falmouth, Cornwall….I hope to be there one day, God willing.

Wow! You are so natural in front of the camera. Thank you for sharing your beautiful needlework, this was such an unexpected treat for my Saturday morning. I’ve just returned to cross stitching in my retirement and I absolutely love it. In December I decided to complete a sampler that I packed away in 2003 and now I’m addicted! I’d never stitched on linen before so I’m stitching the HATS little gems whilst working my way up the counts. I’ve just started Eleanor Steele on 36 count and so far I love it. I’m pushing myself because I’m going to the Jeanette Douglas workshop at Fobbles next week and she is using 36 count 🤣🤣. I can’t wait to see your next Floss Tube. Hello Sian, from Mississippi in the USA. Your first video was awesome. When you said you probably spend too much time alone, it made me tear up and hit home, I knew we could be friends. Your handwork is beautiful and look forward to more. I recently deleted my Instagram, because I realized I was scrolling way too much and would rather spend that time stitching because I too have “sable” issues and need to keep busy. I realized I needed to live my life and not spend it seeing what others are doing constantly, but I certainly enjoy flosstube playing while stitching or listening to books.

I love all of your beautiful finishes, and the way you explain and your beautiful home. I know how it is also about our children (I have three grown daughters and one of them lives in England) and how they are happy for us and our passion but they don't quite "get it". Loved watching your first Floss Tube! I am a monogamous stitcher who fell in love with 1/1 stitching. In the last 4-5 years I have only stitched 1/1 on various fabric counts, my current A Stitch In Time by HATS being stitched 1/1 on 36 count Vintage Country Mocha 😊.
