My favourite part of Zero is that the Z.E.R.O. System is actually a quite realistic interpretation of an AI + brain-computer interface, and how the inputs from an AI system into one's brain could affect one's perception of reality is quite interesting. This type of brain-computer interface is so close to our current levels of technology that it doesn't even feel like sci-fi anymore. We even have BCIs that create inputs to the brain now (rather than the old devices that only take output, such as robotic prosthetics), such as the devices that allow blind people to see or deaf people to hear. There are certainly researches working on developing real-world AI + BCI systems for military purposes atm, they're just highly classified so we won't hear about it. There is nothing about the Z.E.R.O. system that screams unrealistic technology, magic, or alien powers. And I like that, despite its power, Zero has big drawbacks - just like the Tallgeese. The one (actually cannon) Wing gundam that's missing is the Wing Fenice from Gundam Build Fighters! Though it is obviously completely unrelated to the After Colony timeline, it is an interesting design in and of itself (and a cool gunpla).

it's a really cool video And just for those who wants more wing zero there is another one (non-cannon but neat nonetheless ) the wing zero rebelion produced by britania and piloted by lelouch (don't question it , it's super robot wars ) and for some reasons the geas worked on the zero system . And to keep it short and because i don't have a lot of info on the unit here is all i know about it : This version of the wing zero EW was built by britania after lelouch leaked the plans just so he can gundam jack it . It is a 1 to 1 copy of the wing zero with the exeption of it colors, black and gold on the body and crimson on the wings. He then used his geas to force the zero sistem to bend to his will . And thats about all i know as i can't read japanese nor play the game .
Really nice vid. I would just like to add some things: -Wing EW, although was supposed to be the same as the TV version, is actually better. The reason is that agility and adaptability is the reason for its redesign. If you include the cartridges in the equation for the buster rifle, this means Wing EW has more firepower. The Beam sword of the Wing EW is also more powerful and longer and has the same property as deathscythe's beam schythe that it can be used underwater (Well it is supposed to be since technology is shared among the other Gundams). -Wing Zero in the original manga has a weird property when it comes to the power output of the TBR. That is it becomes powerful the more "Gundam" there is near it. Hence on the original Manga version before all the retcon, Zero fired it with the other Gundams. -Wing Zero EW's wings, the large ones also act as a weapon. It can cut through MS like butter. It also has regenerative properties because it has Nano Tech. This is mostly missed out by people who didn't like how Nano Tech is being used in FTD when the technology is actually already existing on the original series. -Pretty much Gundams in Wing are EMP protected because of the property of Gundanium. Also in a scene when a Flashback is made when Quatre found out about Zero and decided to build it, there's an easter egg about the Gundanium being a direct result or somehow an homage to the material used on Nu Gundam. Forgot the metal name though. -Now on FTD, Nanotech has been maxed out that Tallgeese Heaven, Warlock, and Snow White have ridiculous abilities using them. For one, TGH literally can stop Nanotech easily. So hence there's a debate about Turn-A vs TGH. Warlock, is not just to make DS new name look cool but it is because aside from the Fenrir Mode... Warlock can literally make Bats like a freaking vampire because of the Nanotech. Albeit, not sure how the heck it works but hey, if Black Wing Zero or Lucifer (Yes, it's Lucifer), has that damn insane regeneration that even throwing it to lava using Fenrir, didn't kill it (Spoiler: Lucifer is piloted by an AI of Treize) then lets just roll with it. -Which now comes the Topic of Snow White, the new Wing, and how it can be said that why people who read the novel irks on the unit. If you think TGH, Warlock, Black Zero or any of the other Gundam like Gundam Bai (Epyon White) etch. and the fact even the new virgo's uses Nanotech are OP - Then Snow White will make them look like Babies. Here are the reasons: A. Ignore what you know about the Snow White Prelude, since in the Novel, the description of Snow White is more of a Super Robot akin to a God. The Nanotech it has is dialed up to 11. B. It has elemental attacks. Yup, Buster Rifle can fire elemental attacks. Heero literally fired on the ground and created roots to stop both Prometheus and Warlock. Yes freaking plant roots. C. Snow White's new system is called the 7 Dwarf System. Each level pertains to higher abilities and elemental manipulation. D. Snow White has a Casket that transports him and has the ability called "Poison Apple". So in the Wing Zero family -> Snow White is God. I don't know what Sumisawa was taking when he wrote FTD but it must be so good that he's really high when he wrote. But to be fair, there could have been mistranslations but damn. Sumisawa went Unicorns and Rainbow.
Watching this video made me so glad to be a wing fan owning the GFFMC prelude and all the EW and newest version of the wing kit with all their decals. Whole fanboy moment watching this video
I have to say now that the snow white prelude is arguably the hardest hitting gundam when it comes to handheld weaponry . The twin buster rifle was already insane, and the addition of the messer zwergs made it even broken , now the new zwergs hit even HARDER?! and that's not even imagining it in the dopplet version where all of them are present, I'm just questioning now what kind of insane firepower wing zero prelude has.
The Wing Zero in GoL only used the Drei Zwerg doppelt during the end of the eve wars. It was delivered by Wufei at the request of the Maganac corps. There’s reason to believe that the messer zwergs were also destroyed like most of the other armaments of the other gundams after it fired at Libra as the Wing Zero came back in neo bird mode without the messer zwerg attachments.
SW Prelude is a connection bridge between the end of the series and the novel, it's based using an unused frame of Wing Gundam. This way Bandai can force Katoki to fully reveal SW, i recall it had nanomachines (that's why the wings are not attached to the back in the cover but looks like they're floating). Also both Wing Zero EW and SW Prelude GFFMC had 2 different configurations for Neo Bird Mode (atmosferic entry and normal fligh) as well the Zero System Activation like the novel with all the panels widening showing off more parts.

Even though the Snow White Prelude looks beautiful with it’s multiple wings and the Seraphim Binders, I honestly wonder what the true Snow White looks like underneath it’s cloak. My guess is that it’s a combination of the Prelude and the Wing Gundam Seraphim, because of the fact that the true Snow White has a buster rifle crossbow. Therefore, like the Seraphim, I believe that the true Snow White doesn’t have a Neo-Bird Mode transformation feature. Also, for those who are confused about the Proto Zero, it’s basically the TV version, but slightly redesigned to fit Katoki’s EW redesigns.
In GBGW(gundam battle gunpla warfare) mobile game I got Wing zero custom EW on a lucky draw that made me so much happy and greatful when I watch your video about wing/wing zero gundam 👍 (Edit) I swear wing EW and WZC EW had the most amazing design
Putting together the Wing Gundam MG Supernova kit now. TONS of pieces, probably on par with the Bandai EX-S or even Deep Striker in sheer amount of parts. Plastic quality is pretty good, close to Bandai but a little softer and have already had a few tiny pieces break just clipping them out of the runners. Nearly everything has hidden gates, so nubs won't be visible if you don't paint. That being said, EVERY nub needs to be sanded or chiseled completely flush. They are all inside seams and you will have gaps or fitment issues if you don't get them perfectly flush. This can prove difficult as it's very difficult to get sanding sticks into the tight areas the nubs are located and the softer plastic is easy to chisel too deep. I'll post an update once I finish the kit, but my expectations are pretty high after doing the Deathscythe Supernova kit.
I remember on a spacebattles forum that it’s apparently able to tank a full charge shot from the twin buster rifle, but this is word of mouth I don’t really know
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing is what got me into the Gundam franchise when I first watched it on Toonami and Gundam Wing Zero/Wing Zero Custom is one of my all-time favourite Gundams.

And it took a few years for me to really appreciate Zero. Now he is one of my favorites! Even built a Perfect Grade model of him. And the Snow White version is sooooo awesome looking! I WANT ONE!!! In my school vr game the autobot aireal mass murderer airtalon was upgraded with the wing gundam zero parts and even given the nickname the angel from hell and boy she earned that nickname she destroyed entire armies of galahorn mobile suits and then things went bad for her when 00 goalius entered the frey with GM gatheroad on the left side and gundam latias mk 2 on the right
I believe there was at least one other Wing Zero version, it had fewer weapons (Single buster and saber), that was a test version that ended up stolen and destroyed when the docs fled while it had a bomb in it and was sent on a suicide distraction run. It was in one of the early Wing manga and, I believe, that it was implied to not be fully gundanium armored. Parts of it were recovered by OZ until Duo broke in and temporarily piloted it to wreck the base it was in, and then blown up again with hints that, while being unrecoverable, some of the parts were intact enough to be used in the rebuilt Wing, and the OZ analysis of it was something involved in the making of the Geminas Gundams. And Tiel's Impulse also included, if I remember right, a Seraphim Custom in the last part of it
There's actually a Black Wing Zero in Bandai's RPG game, MS Saga. It's actually rumored to be more powerful than the normal Wing Zero, since its G system supported. Meaning it can fire the twin buster rifle at full power, without worrying recoil damage.
There is actually 1 more wing zero verient. The Wing Zero Rebellion however I belive it is exclusive to the Super Robot Wars games and therfore not canon
@@zethythonix there are Super Nova variants of the master grade models from the Endless Waltz series. They're "heavier" versions of the originals with more weapons and armor, like the Heavyarms has 4 twin Gatling guns. They aren't canon, and the kits are resin, so they aren't as precisely manufactured as the Bandai kits, but if you are good and painting and model work, they look pretty cool

I really dislike the in-universe explanations of MS Technology in Wing. It's a transparent method to sell more Gundam kits. How does Wing Zero have unlimited shots? Because it pulls energy from its generator directly (as though that'd have been difficult for the original Wing). How does Wing Zero eliminate the deadly G-Forces of the boosters? It transforms into bird-mode; which makes zero sense as a G-Force is still a G-Force. That besides, fun video and good work with the inclusion of the manga versions, too.

I’ll take most UC designs over the wing designs. Tallgeese and it’s iterations are more interesting any of the 4 antagonist units. But you did make it a great H.L.M.S. didn’t realize it was trashed and rebuilt so many times.

There's actually a Black Wing Zero in Bandai's RPG game, MS Saga. It's actually rumored to be more powerful than the normal Wing Zero, since its G system supported. Meaning it can fire the twin buster rifle at full power, without worrying recoil damage.

@@zethythonix there are Super Nova variants of the master grade models from the Endless Waltz series. They're "heavier" versions of the originals with more weapons and armor, like the Heavyarms has 4 twin Gatling guns. They aren't canon, and the kits are resin, so they aren't as precisely manufactured as the Bandai kits, but if you are good and painting and model work, they look pretty cool

I really dislike the in-universe explanations of MS Technology in Wing. It's a transparent method to sell more Gundam kits. How does Wing Zero have unlimited shots? Because it pulls energy from its generator directly (as though that'd have been difficult for the original Wing). How does Wing Zero eliminate the deadly G-Forces of the boosters? It transforms into bird-mode; which makes zero sense as a G-Force is still a G-Force.
That besides, fun video and good work with the inclusion of the manga versions, too.

I’ll take most UC designs over the wing designs. Tallgeese and it’s iterations are more interesting any of the 4 antagonist units. But you did make it a great H.L.M.S. didn’t realize it was trashed and rebuilt so many times.
