i just installed the downpipe and a stage 2 clutch. already had the borla catback. stage 2 tune arrived from EQT today. i cant wait to put the tune in now.
How does it work? You just load it onto the access port and don't need to make any extra modifications? I have a new catelss downpipe, becker catback exhaust, and k&n intake and I need to get a stage 2 now so my CEL goes away without an 02 spacer lol just trying to avoid going to a tuning shop
Good stuff bro, southbend stage 3 daily just arrived a couple weeks ago but haven’t installed it yet just other personal stuff has gotten in the way but it should be getting installed soon
@@enhanced2055 so I am running a stage 2 from IE and have a unitronic turbo back on my mk7.5 manual. clutch is definitely starting to slip a little. i was looking at south bend but would you recommend stage 2 Clutch OR stage 3?
What did you have to do for the tune? Did you attach a seprate battery to the battery in the car incase the car died? Love the car and holy hell I love those pops!!!
@@joshlsullivan yeah we installed a awe track on one of my buddies mk7 and had a harder time installing it since he went with the cts downpipe and not awe downpipe compared to my borla w the cts downpipe but both are great options. I personally think the borla is a bit louder but both sound pretty damn good
Two questions, I already have the cat back Bora like yours and the drone at highway speeds can get somewhat tiresome but with the DP and tune is it worse? Second do you get any smells with that down pipe, I’ve been on the fence with APR or this one due to smells coming from the DP.
Yeah the DP def makes the drone worse but personally I don't mind it at all it all comes to personal preference. For the smell yes I would stay away from catless. Only reason I went catless cause im more of a dog person

I got it off emnotek and the 2.5 is for the mk7 and the 3 is for the mk7.5 off there website. Borla catback + CTS downpipe install was super easy and smooth tbh, the borla is the easiest catback install imo. We did a awe track install on a friends gti and the fitment and install was much more complicated and had fitment issues.

I have emissions in Atl, I have a 2018 gti with stage 2 Unitronic with DSG tune. I want to go EQT stage 2 but can you switch back to the stock tune, for emissions testing then switch back to stage 2 ( I pass with stage 2 Uni this way) without extra charges?

I saw no cracking sound at first, you adjusted it on the central control screen, and then there was cracking sound again. What did you adjust? Thank you.
Burble tunes like to cause the car to feel like it’s engine braking more harshly. I wouldn’t call it bucking but if you switch between burbles and non burbles you definitely feel a difference with all cars and tunes.
@@stevenkopenhaver4409 Different dynos read a lot different. Its possible to have your car dyno 350whp on one and less than 300 on the other even if they’re the same brand and model of dyno. Really the only use for a dyno is to tune a car and to compare cars using the same dyno.

the downpipe will increase drone and the smell 100% i just recently switched back from catless to catted and the smell is gone

Yeah so I have a cobb accessport and the tune itself is by eqt and its stage 2 93 octane with pops and bangs in sport mode only.

Yeah I got the accessport from there website which was nice because it came w the tune installed already and only paid $75 for the map.

We just changed the mode to sport mode and that enabled the pops and crackles
