I'd take the chair too, I freaking hate needles lol, but I've heard that the second that electricity hits your brain, it's like a bullet to the brain, it's like a light switch, shuts your brain down as soon as it hits, so your heart might not stop, but your brain is dead so it don't even matter, you ain't feeling nothing. Good video death, peace

Bro I’m an electrician. You do not want to go out that way. You get hit with 120 to 277 and it’s not that bad. 480 and up and if you happen to live through it you’ll wish you were dead. I’ve seen 1 guy killed by electricity. I’ve seen many injured by it. A couple of guys stopped doing electrical work because of it. Thanks for the awesome vids, keep it up.

I agree. I think electrocution is inhumane and the fact that many prisoners survive the first shock, tells me we have very little control over the electrical current.

My dad is 61 and has been an electrician since he was 18. Some are born with thicker skin for the line of work. I’ve heard horror stories of electric chairs gone wrong. So idk about that.

L0st that case was a switchgear in an industrial job and I think it was around 150kv. But I’ve seen an old timer with a non insulated flathead slip in a 480 panel and the skank of the screwdriver was in his palm and it literally blew a hole through his palm. A lot can happen depending on the circumstances around what your working on and voltage

From what i gathered in my criminal justice class. When you die from the electric chair. Its instant. Like literally in one second, your dead. Its soo much electricity, you pretty much die instantly. Thats it.

His life experience has helped me stay away from gangs/life I very well could have been part of. Death, have you been in Red Onion? My brother in law is there. It's horrible. What's worse is that he is there for life for a crime he did not commit. I had originally thought he was the driver in a double homicide, but I recently found out that he wasn't even there. His "friends" tried to take the heat off of themselves and blamed him for the murders. My BIL had a shitty public defender who said he only had a choice of going to trail and getting the death penalty or pleading to life in prison with no appeals. He was a 17 year old child. He has been in for over 15 years and will never see the free world again, because his "friends" decided their lives meant more than his. People chose your associates carefully. Not all of them have your back.

Idk how I feel about the death penaliy. Before I could careless about anyone that went to prison until the day my son went to prison, that was the hardest thing I ever had to go through. I had to educate myself on how our justice system worked, and all I got to say is if it wasent for my dad getting my son a lawyer, not just any lawyer ,the top 5 , in the state of Arizona, my son was looking at 80yrs, I almost fainted when I heard that, .my dad and his lawyer saved my son's life, there's no words that can explain how thankful I am from the.bottom of my heart for what they did for my son. This is how gullible I was about our justice system, whoever was in prison were guilty of whatever crime they did there's no way they will send an innocent person to prison. God was i wrong. I have no faith in our justice system at all, and my heart goes out to the ones that can't afford a lawyer someone who is gonna fight for them someone who cares.
So idk what to say about the death penalty, you have me thinking about that one

My mother separated me from him after the age of 5 and I didnt have any contact with him until I was 25 and they had given him an execution date. I've done 4 bits in the Illinois Dept. of Correction. A couple in Decatur and the others at Lincoln CC. I got through it by minding my business, and in Lincoln I was the only baker, And I ain't gonna lie, I made special shit for the officers, because lets face it, if I wanted a bottom bunk or a corner bed with the wall, no inmates can do that for me. Don't get me wrong, I had a few sidebars, but through all my bits, never got 1 single disciplinary ticket. Keep your nose clean, and mind your business, that's my advice. Love your channel!

The firing squad is the only method that never had a botched execution, as bad as it sounds, its the best method. That said, the US should get rid of the death penalty all together, anytime a person is locked up for many years knowing they will be executed, how is this not cruel or unusual punishment? This is only one of many reasons we should abolish this type of punishment.

I hope I never have to make the choice as to how I will die, but the electric 💺 seems uber scary, going to sleep seems to be the way, they do it to mans best friend the dog every day. My last words would be love to family and I would be asking God for mercy and forgiveness,I don't want to wake up in eternal hell. Dying before your time alone in prison like an animal, is a sad horrible punishment enough

@@alkaline8886 some people that get the death penalty are actually innocent though. I've watched many documentaries where 20 years down the line, DNA shows that the person executed were innocent. Do you really think that some of the people that go to prison or are executed are guilty though? If you are, that means that you are pretty naive and don't know how the justice system works, just saying...

    Michael William Lenz
Michael Lenz was serving a 29 year sentence at the Augusta Correctional Center for Burglary and Weapon Possession . Fellow inmate Brent Henry Parker was a convicted murderer serving a 50-year sentence for the 1985 murder of “Jimmy” Jenkins in Winchester. Along with 3 other inmates, they held a meeting of the Ironwood Kindred, a group practicing the Asatru religion, a faith based on worship of Nordic Gods. The guard assigned to watch the group was stationed outside the meeting room. About half way through the meeting three of the inmates ran out of the room saying, “They’re stabbing him.” The guard immediately entered the room to see Michael Lenz and Jeffrey Remington stabbing Brent Parker. Parker died as a result of 68 stab wounds. Both Lenz and Remington were sentenced to death after separate trials. Remington committed suicide while incarcerated in 2004. Lenz testified that he killed Parker for religious reasons. Parker had been opposed to Lenz forming the Ironwood Kindred. Lenz stated that the reason that he attacked Parker the way that he did was because Parker had threatened to kill him twice before and that the fight broke out mutually. Jeffrey Remington had jumped in the fight unprovoked.

@@TamaraTAM_LAKALLE I agree with you Tamara. Lately I've been feeling such a rage. People that wronged me. I had a person who I thought was my friend but I know he's not because he left me stranded with no ride when we were hanging at his friends house. His friend was drunk so he didn't give me a ride. My ex friend said he waited 5 mins for me, he thought that was to long and left me. I've been hating him and wishing him dead but I don't want to hate anyone or wish anyone dead.
My mother died in 2014 and was worried about me about my drinking and she cried to him over the phone and for him to not think he did anything wrong pisses me off. I was to trusting of people and people took advantage of me. My step sister thinks all rapists should be raped and all killers should be killed and I get that crimes outrage people.
My mom wasn't murdered but it would be hard to not wish death on a person if they did kill her but at the same time I know my mom was against it and taught me Jesus saved a woman from execution. I really do think the feeling of revenge is one of the worst traits human beings have but I'm not on no high horse, I'm not going to judge. I don't think people who are pro death penalty are evil, they just believe different. I hope the death penalty will be abolished. Take care.

Interesting that they were all executed in the evening. Seems like most of them were done around 9pm. I wonder if there's a reasoning for this or if it just happens to be a coincidence.

    Christopher Scott Emmett
Emmett and John Fenton Langley were sharing a room in a Danville motel in April of 2001 as part of an out-of-town roofing crew. On the night Langley was killed, he bought food and grilled for Emmett and other co-workers. They then played cards at the motel. Later Langley was killed as he slept.
In a taped confession to police, Emmett admitted striking Langley in the head with a lamp in the motel room they were sharing, robbing him of $100, buying and smoking crack cocaine, then calling the police to report that something had happened to his roommate.

    Robert Stacy Yarbrough
Yarbrough was 18 when he and a friend, Dominic Rainey, 17, robbed a Mecklenburg County store that 77 year old Cyril Hugh Hamby had operated for more than 50 years.
After tying up Hamby and kicking him in the head, Yarbrough used a pocketknife to cut around Hamby's neck as Hamby pleaded for him to stop, nearly decapitating him. The two fled with cash, beer, wine and cigarettes. They were caught days later.
Rainey was charged with first degree murder, but received a sentence of 25 years, in exchange for testifying against Yarbrough. In addition to Rainey's testimony, forensic evidence, including DNA, linked Yarbrough to the crime.
