    Your overall command of the subject is as good as anybody could ever have. Nobody could explain it better. Giving the the overall reasons why it is silly to try and push this too far is the wisdom many afficianados fail to appreciate. To many people try to push the fifty cc like it was a Kawasaki 750. This 150 has those identical limitations because it is just bigger and less limited. It is still a CVT unit and really great for being that person about town. It is not designed for Lemans and never will be. You really held that sentiment. It was a pleasure to watch your video.

    You should have the coil in hand because GY6 chinese scooters are known for cheapening out on the spark plug coil and the starter switch. Switch it out beforehand to have peace of mind.

    How do tell if your gy6 is a long case or short case ?

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  Рік тому +1

      Determining whether your GY6 engine is a long case or short case is relatively straightforward. The case length refers to the physical size of the engine's crankcase, which houses the transmission and other internal components. Here's how you can identify the case length:
      Measure the distance between the center of the rear wheel axle and the center of the front wheel axle of your scooter or motorcycle. This measurement is commonly referred to as the "wheelbase."
      Long case GY6 engines typically have a wheelbase of around 49 to 51 inches (124 to 130 cm).
      Short case GY6 engines usually have a wheelbase of about 43 to 47 inches (109 to 119 cm).
      Keep in mind that the wheelbase measurement is not an exact science, and there may be some variation depending on the make and model of your scooter or motorcycle. In some cases, the engine case length may be listed in the owner's manual or specifications of your vehicle.
      Another way to identify the case length is by referencing the vehicle's model number or VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and cross-referencing it with the manufacturer's information or online resources specific to your scooter or motorcycle model. Thank you for watching my video

    Hello my super helpful friend im back again I've got a 150cc gy6 scooter with 10g rollers and 1500rpm clutch spring with a cone filter and performance exhaust.i was wondering what will be better to put next will it be a big bore kit or a performance carburetor thank you for all your help

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  2 роки тому

      Hello my friend I will buy a performance carburetor before upgrading to a big bore sometimes by changing the carburetor you can get to a good level of performance but don’t forget on the gy6 we have a little problem on space for a 30mm so you can get a 28mm with larger jet according to your altitude

Valves just adjusted perfectly believe me I don’t thinks it’s vacuum leak changed the cdi and spark and coil plug, if I turn the fuel screw two turns out from tight the idle screw had to be all the way down for it too run.. lmk what you think

    Hi, any chance you could advise me on a problem I have with my direct bikes 125cc cobra scooter? The issue I have is when riding my headlights flicker on and off. I have rewired and put new conectors on the wires but they've continued to flash on and off at different intervals. It's causing a problem when riding at night, as cars think I'm flashing at them and I've nearly had several close accidents. Hope you can help or anyone can help?

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  3 роки тому +1

      Hello SKITSAFONIC I will personally try to check all the headlight wire with the multimeter and every time you check one wire point I will shake the scooter to see if something change in the multimeter reading also try to check the light bulb tungsten filament to make sure is not broken or almost burnt also make sure the bulb is not loose and fixed well in the socket and make sure the socket is not contaminated with oxide corrosion and for last I will open the stator and will clean the head only the head of the stator bobina poles with fine sandpaper and when you are there clean the inside of the flywheel with sandpaper and after clean with dry cloth. I hope this can help my friend be safe and thank you for watching my video

    Hello my friend I like watching all your videos !🙂👍I need your help I purchased a brand new icebear Hawkeye 150cc scooter when it arrived I noticed lots of oil soaked into the cardboard box once I opened the box and uncovered all the bubble wrap I noticed oil coming out from the tip of the seat to the floorboard to the front of the scooter I wiped it all away clean after assembling the scooter I noticed a big problem during my first test ride the scooter would not go past 30 mph come to find out the airbox was filled with oil I washed the filters with warm soap water and let it dry out good is there anything else I should do ? I did watch your video about installing a oil catch I purchased one on Amazon it will be delivered tomorrow morning I sure can use any advice you might have for me ? Thanks amigo

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  3 роки тому +2

      Hello my friend after the oil goes on the filter you will need to buy a new filter because those filter are not to good after you wash them they work ok but they do not perform great because the oil came from the breather hose at the valve cover make sure the lower part of the air box has no oil and is clean after place your scooter on the center stand and make sure is level to the ground at that point check your oil level because there is a possibility that from the factory they over fill your scooter with oil if not the scooter will send with motor pressure oil back again at the filter after try to remove the air hose behind the carburator and make sure the inside of the hose or the back side of tha carburator is not oily because if some oil went inside the carburator at the moment oil by force of gravity will be in the Carb bowl and will seat there for few miles and will effect the performance of the scooter unless you clean the carburator . Unrelated question... can I use a bigger carb on the 150cc? I have one of those hammerhead gokarts and had a lot of issues speacially to keep it running. I bought a carb that said 150cc but its slightly bigger and has more ports to it. this is the one ... do you think I can make it work?

      @VirberelloScooterTips  4 роки тому +2

      Hello Carlos the best carb for a 150cc is a 26mm or a max is a 28mm this 2 are great for any altitude if you leave at higher altitude in the mountains above 3000 ft you can place a 30mm where the air have less density or if you change the top end of your scooter to a 171cc boar kit you will need for sure a 30mm because you will have more room for air inside the cylinder .
