Pretty sure his inner circle of creative minds are a part of many of those roles for however many of the videos, but I'm equally as certain that he has at times filled those roles 100% himself.
Some of the videos, he's even been the camera person *filming* a lot (most?) of the footage (thinking of Losing It in particular, of course, but there are others he's been one of the camera people for)

I’m just bingeing on your Ren reactions since discovering you today. Appreciate your educated and passionate reactions.
I cried. Then i fell down the Ren rabbit hole. I've never felt less alone with my illnesses and stuff. The kindness of strangers in the "Reniverse" has just astounded me. I've found so many people that share what I thought had to be a uniquely frustrating and defeating journey. I hate that others go through this hell, but OMG it does feel less hellish with others who understand.
Ren is changing the world. He's opening eyes and minds. I just hope it's not too late.
We live in the most asinine timeline... humanity has become lost to the very beings it's named for.
Here's to Ren, and to putting the human back into humanity.
Aaaaand that sounded like a dumb politicians speech lol... but i meant every word. We need to lift each other up as often as we can. And if we see someone deliberately tearing people down, don't attack them or berate or curse them. You're only feeding the trolls. Just ignore them. It's cliché and boring, but it takes at least two to tango and if one person refuses to engage, then the other just looks silly on the dance floor.
Raise each other up. If you see or hear something that you admire or if someone does something clever or whatever, TELL THEM!! Don't just smile and nod and scroll away, let them know they are seen and appreciated. It goes so much farther than you think ❤

I am 100% behind this comment. I'm a 42 year old single mom who works a lot of long hours and is attendng school online. My kids are grown and starting their own lives just in the past year. As a result, it's been a long, lonely year, struggling with changes in my life. Then I discovered this video on UA-cam. I really enjoyed it. But what has captivated me is the fan base and Ren's ability to bring people together.
I absolutely love his music, and I cannot even begin to describe the uplift I get from reading comments on the video on his page and on reactors pages. It's truly inspiring.
When I'm having a bad day, I just go to a Ren video and read the comments. When I'm struggling to write a paper and want to quit, same. When I want to feel good, also.
I hope that Ren realizes the impact he's having on people. He's truly mobilizing. He can inspire and motivate, make you feel so many things. I'm very happy I discovered this amazing artist and even more, the community his music has created.

Here is some additional information on Ren's story that I gathered from old newspaper interviews, articles, and Ren's livestreams and posts where he discussed his condition. Ren Erin Gill is a British musician/independent artist; born in Wales on March 29, 1990; he eventually moved to Brighton. Ren pursued a career in music from an early age. In 2009, while studying music performance at Bath Spa University, Ren began to experience health issues and was struggling to attend his lectures. In 2010, he was signed by Sony Records and was working on an album when his health deteriorated to the point where he was unable to continue and subsequently dropped by Sony.
Ren's illness often kept him in bed for up to 23 hours daily. Ren was initially misdiagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder, and chronic fatigue syndrome, which led him to experience psychosis and develop PTSD. It would take seven years before a doctor in Belgium finally correctly diagnosed Ren with autoimmunity, Lyme disease, and resulting damage to the brain, organs, joints, and PTSD. Ren eventually underwent stem cell therapy in the United States, which improved his health, but it has not been a cure.
Ren is currently in Calgary, Canada for more treatments, including surgeries, and will have to be there for at least six months (Summer of 2023) undergoing IV and other interventions five days a week. Ren recently underwent wisdom tooth removal and cavitation surgery. In addition, his Canadian doctor discovered that Ren also developed a condition called Mast Cell Activation Disorder (MCAD), which has affected the myelin sheath in his brain, his thyroid, adrenals as well as his bones/joints. Now, Ren is receiving additional treatments for this previously undiagnosed condition.

Your tops in my book. I've seen a bunch of reactions for this. I've never seen one expressing so much joy and enthusiasm towards his art.
When I first saw this it affected me on a deeper emotional level and I completely rejected it. I somewhat mocked almost every aspect of his performance. I'm so glad I was drawn back to it and after the 3rd watch it hit me so deeply I burst into tears and couldn't figure out why. He was holding up a mirror to myself that I didn't want to see. Now every time I see it, I'm set free a little bit more. Ren is so gifted almost all of his work has the same effect at some level on me. More is revealed every time I experience his music. I believe it's intentional on his part as well. He is a craftsman of beautiful art.

I first saw this video about 6 weeks ago and it still gives me goosebumps. I love everything Ren does. He is an inimitable talent who reaches across genres and generations. There is no one like him.
The first time I saw it I felt that it transcended not just genre, but category. It isn't simply music, it's performance art, and the free verse poetry at the end was stunning. Then I looked further, and - well, my jaw is still on the ground. Haven't found a genre he can't do and transform in the process. He may try and get caught short - but I haven't seen it yet. His skills are stellar, but his discipline and perfectionism are the drivers. He is simply amazing.
I could talk about Hi Ren for hours but one thing I love about watching reactions to it is the difference in how people react to his falsetto at the beginning and at the end. When he first starts singing "ooh ooh ooh" everyone is like "that was unexpected" and gets a bit weirded out and skeptical. Then when it comes back at the end everyone starts rocking out to it and there's this massive relief of tension. It's so cathartic, empowering, beautiful, and fun. Thanks for reacting.
Ren is one of the most gifted musicians I think I've ever heard. He does everything at the highest level. You need to check out the trilogy of Jenny and screech and chalk outlines live.
Masterpiece
Hehe for most of us this was our introduction to Ren. Imagine our surprise when we saw him really unleash himself in joints like _The Hunger_ or _Losing It_ or _Murderer_ or _Illist of Our Time_ etc 😆
There is such depth and heart to what he did in that song. Hits home on so many levels
I held my breath too, and I cried... we are all more alike than different, he is so relatable. His fans range from 18 to 80 . I listen to some rap now I give it a chance, keeping an open mind, I'm a 60 year old lady a 70's rock baby... he brought us all together ❤️ he's wonderful

The first time I saw this was about 3 months ago and I was having another "episode" and I honestly didn't think I'd survive this time. Ren and this video has changed my life in ways no one will understand so watching ALL the Ren reactions helps keep my demon away. Even he loves Ren!!
Ren is brilliant...and this is his masterpiece! "Psychological warfare"..."eternal dance"..."getting older"..."getting softer"... I have ME, I "hit the wall" and it has taken me 10 yrs to get where I am today. Accepting my situation and learning how to live for not completely drain my energy, leaving me with an empty brain, numb legs and arms, tunnel vision, dizziness and a severe impotence. Of course you get down and out in a psychological way when that happens and then get in to "psychological warfare". But as he says, fighting is not always the best way to win and in my case I have to be a diplomatic spy towards myself - cooping against what I want to do, what I need to do and what I not should do to keep feeling OK. OMG...Ren really killed this!

Ren is therapy for so many from one song he helps so many people open up in ways therapists struggle to do in person.
Ren's story is so inspiring, autoimmunity, psychosis...but that's not his whole story! He's successful, independently! Such a genius!
I recently discovered Ren and this performance is changing my life, even after 52 years. I've also been watching tons of react videos to this masterpiece and tonight I landed on yours. My first thought after watching Hi Ren? - "Finally!!, Someone telling the World what I AM feeling, what I AM thinking, what I go through and am going through every day" ... A voice for those voices that no one has or will listen to.
Ren has truly changed my life and being apart of the “Ren-egade / Ren-aissance” (I know its corny as hell) has been a game changer for so many of us.
I think I first saw this around the end of January. I couldn't give it my full attention, you know, I just have youtube playing as a side distraction for my ADD while I work and do other stuff. But I knew then I needed to go back, shut everything else off, and give it my all one more time. Finally got that time around March and fully had my mind blown properly. Ren has been my #1 musician since. It's not even close. His back catalog plus new releases has almost all other music on mute. Hi Ren was a proper introduction. It's a masterpiece. And the crazy thing is, it's not his only masterpiece. Hi Ren, The Tales, The Money Game series, Crucify Your Culture, Dominoes, Su1cIde, Crutch, How to be Me, Chalk Outlines, Losing it..... Like wtf man! He's a throwback to the 70's when they told stories in their music. When music meant something.

If you haven't already listened to money game one and two, part two explains the "She sells seashells by the seashore" from Hi ren. And if you're not familiar with his history he's been dealing with chronic illness for a long time being misdiagnosed lots of medications, mental health issues and he ended up having Lyme disease all along which he is in Canada currently being treated for. Keep the ren videos coming I will watch them all!

This was the 1st song I saw of his. And hooked me right away. I found this in January and have listened to it at least once a day since.
Little late to this party, but, you’ve got my sub. The first time I heard this was shortly after my ex wife decided she was done with me and I had to move out, leaving my daughter behind. I was in my new place, VERY drunk, thinking about the best way to make my exit from life. Then I saw this. I’m not going to say Ren saved my life, but the depth and artistry and authenticity of this piece completely shattered my dark train of thought. Just for a moment, I forgot about my own pain. I don’t know. To be able to snap me out of how I was feeling in 10 minutes with a song? Ren is just an awesome artist.

This completely blew my mind the first time I saw this, I was addicted to watching it over and over and over again, and keeping picking up something new. Then I got addicted to watching other people react to it for the first time it is just mind blowing, and every ram video you put on, and just continues to shock you, my next recommendation, for you would be the tale of Jenny and screech trilogy and possibly Genesis

Chalk Outlines and How to be Me, both with the brilliant Chinchilla. More Hip Hop, rap works like the Hunger, Illest of our Time, Losing it. A wonderful retake of the Verve's Bittersweet Symphony .... just for starters!! I can imagine you will like them all.

My Nf friend! So it took me three viewings basically back to back for me to comprehend what I just watched it was confusing and emotional and relatable and That’s my true first impression of him, then I started watching his catalogue and realized that there’s not another artist I can compare him to yeah I heard he could sing and rap and storytell but until you hear him you just don’t truly get it!

for those who don't know, here's a brief Ren bio : at 17 Ren contracted Lyme disease and an autoimmunity deficiency ---- was MISDIAGNOSED as bipolar for years ---- prescribed psychtropic meds that actually "fed" his psychoses --- .......Ren is still in treatment and has a GoFundMe account to help pay tremendous medical bills.....the Pig is a Butcher, I believe Ren's comment on some doctors and therapists....the discordant guitar and vocals represent Ren's internal chaos, as do the blinking lights...."Truth in a blender, deceitful Pretender".......
