I most definitely don’t mind your voiceover as long as you leave us subtitle, aha. As a deaf viewer, it is very rare to see content creators caring enough to caption their videos :) so thank you so very much for that ❤️ beautiful pony, as always, her hair is gorgeous. Got a chuckle out of me when I saw you applying milliput in the pony’s ears, because it looked sorta like she got hearing aids now! Very coincidental, but still a cute thought to have a deaf pony
Thank you so much for your message, I really appreciate you taking the time to write it ☺️☺️ I now always try to add subtitles, unfortunately this is something I hadn't realized before so there are a couple of videos with small intros and no pasted subs (I think they have CC but I will double check!!). I'm really glad you enjoyed the video ♥️
@@RetroGeekCrafts Nah, no worries! The auto did a fine job on these, I think, since the intros were so short and clear. the auto captions generally only have issues with much longer voiced videos and with harder accents. You might be able to see if you can take the auto and tweak them though, but I have no experience with those. Regardless, nah, just go forward. I wouldn’t worry about the older videos.
Closed captioning takes a lot of time and so many UA-camrs don't have the time to edit and also caption. I used to work for a company called "rev" that does a LOT of UA-cam captions but I don't know if it's contracted by the creator or what, and what it costs.
I really liked the voice-over ! + I didn't feel glued to my screen + you add some elements I'd never discovered before (think of the "glory pose" : I wasn't aware the poses had names beyond "one leg up pose" hahaha - those are details I'd like to hear more of). For the rest, very solid choices, as ever : great music, great pacing, lovely restoration (I was okay with the red hair, but I can see why you chose to replace it with the softer hue of the pink hair). PS : speaking about details a connaisseur might know... are you aware of any details about the cutie marks? Like, what do they mean, is there always a link with their names, are they copyright-protected, who came up with them, etc. That's also stuff that might be interesting to discuss
Thank you so much for your wonderful message ☺️🥰 I'm really glad you enjoyed the video (and the format test). All the ponies had a story, they usually came written in the back of the cards. There was a little background info that also had to do the cutie mark (I have to confess I know very little of the cartoon, so I'm not sure if the stories were taken from there in any, some or all cases! The stories I know talk a lot about the personalities). This is something I'd love to investigate and include in future videos - along with your idea of the little note, which I haven't shown yet because I prerecorded these videos before going on a little holiday. Again thank you so much for your feedback, I always love reading your comments ☺️☺️
@@RetroGeekCrafts I suppose the cartoon & the cards were part of the marketing, and as such, not tied directly into the toy itself. That would perhaps explain why there are different versions of the same pony. I'm very curious to see what you'll write on your note
So thoughtful when you alert us when you are removing the head. Removing the head doesn’t bother my daughter, but we were watching another UA-cam channel and they boiled the pony as part of the cleaning process My Abby was horrified!
It's just a toy.🤨 If someone finds that bad they should especially watch it to get desensitized otherwise you end up being overdramatic about everything in life.
I looooove the hair color choice! She’s like a cotton candy dream- reminds me of sunset when there are some pink clouds and stars are coming out too! And I really like the voiceover and subtitles! The voice over I think keeps me engaged since sometimes the music can feel repetitive C:
I love that comparison!! 🥰☺️ I agree with the music becoming repetitive, it's also really hard to pick so many songs because the UA-cam library is not that big. But I hope to keep polishing the style :) Thank you for your comment!
That's great to hear. I feel I stil have to work on the music levels (too loud sometimes) but I'm learning more with each video so I hope I can polish the result a little more each time. Thank you for your message!! ☺️☺️
I actually just found your channel, I watch you specifically BECAUSE you do voiceover. I like to fall asleep to restoration videos but most of them are visual only, meaning I tend to strain myself. It's also fun to hear about new restoration methods and pony history
I LOVE hearing your voice over. As soon as I heard it I adored it way more than just the music. I hope you continue c: I also love that you did the research for the pony, and the information you give about the different types. I am in USA so I didn't know about the Argentinian ponies until you! And I love hearing more about the toys. Thank you!

I had only one G1 toy when I was young, and it was Moondancer. Bringing back a lot of fond memories as I watch this restoration. I love your videos, and I love the voiceovers!
The transformation here is unbelievable. She looks stunning!! As for the voice over, I really liked it. You've got a combo going with the voice over, captions (which is greatly appreciated), music, and audio from the project. I don't know why but I find combinations like that cozy, kind of like when you're doing arts and crafts as a kid with your friends, and that's the vibe I'm getting from yours =]
Thank you so much!! 😊😊 I'm really glad you enjoyed the video and found the subs and audio useful. I love your comparison with the arts and crafts "sessions", I really miss those. I used to get together with friends and we would draw for hoooours. Thank you again 😊
Ahhh shes so cute!! The colors are so dreamy 💙 I do personally prefer these without the voice overs. I like to rewatch them to get to sleep. The combo of the ambient working noises and the bg music is very soothing, but having a random voice cut in can be startling.
Thank you! I hope to (in the new future) make different versions of the most liked videos. I will mark the ones with voice and make a list of them too, so you can know which ones are music or sound only 😊
Thank you for uploading video, your videos relax me a lot and right now the stress is being a misery in my life but thanks to you today I am a little better !!!
I think you have a very nice voice and she turned out gorgeous! Never seen this version before. Love the colors, they're so dreamy. Moondancer is one of my favorites. Good music choices.
I liked the voice over, it made me relax and enjoy the custom without feeling like i'm about to fall asleep(i have ADHD, TDAH en español, which means my brain is really hiperactive sometimes so i can relax or get bored very easily and experience a fake "sleepy" state without things following my bee-full-brain), so, to me, it's a plus, something positive. Also am i the only who saw her hair and body colour and thought of Star Catcher from G3 movies? I love her, she's my favorite pony of all G3, so the similarity makes me feel happy and joy when looking at this sorta "custom" moondancer.
Thank you for your message 😊😊 I'm glad the video with voiceover was good; I have a couple of friends with ADHD (and I have some characteristics myself, though undiagnosed) so it's good to hear this might be a good balance. Oh and she does look like Star Catcher!!
I've seen music only and voice over and I prefer voice over. It' feels good and interactive. I like hearing your explanation and quips about the outcomes and plans.
I still have to try a G2 and a G3. To be honest, I can't find any in poor condition, I'm not sure why! But I'm glad you enjoyed these older ones 😊😊 Thank you for your comment!
Please keep doing your voice overs please!! It's so soothing and nice to learn the history of alot of the ponies. Love how this one came out btw AHHH the colors are fantastic 😭👏
I very much appreciate your sensitivity to alerting the viewers every time you are to remove the head. It really makes a difference and it matters! I really love your voice over and the attention to detail, as well as the added facts and tips. Thank you for sharing yourself and your work
Alright...I have no idea how I was suggested your channel in my line up. I don't watch videos with sound on 99% of the time, and the videos I watch are very very different. But I have watched so many of your videos since it was recommended and I love it! Thanks for sharing your hard work! It's a blast to watch
Thank you so much for doing this. I have the US Moondancer (red and purple hair.) It was my first My Little Pony, and I've wanted to repair her for a long time. Her original cutie mark is with glitter paint, so I managed to order some (the moon is silver, the stars are red), and I'm a little nervous about trying to get the cutie mark to look just right. But I did find some great hair. Her tail fell out long ago, so it will be nice to replace that. I'll definitely be referencing this video as I work on fixing her up.
That's great news, it sounds like you have everything you need for a great restoration! I hope the video can be useful 😊 let me know if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help!
The result is absolutely amazing, she looks so white now!! And you also did a great job with the hair. I actually really enjoyed the voice-over, specially with some background facts such as the origin of the pony, the pose, etc (as some other person already pointed out). However, if doing voice-overs are too much trouble, I see no problem with mixing them with some others music-only videos! I honesly like both!
Thank you so much for your feedback! I would love to talk more about the ponies but I wasn't sure anyone would be interested ☺️ I actually really enjoy recording audio (video not so much xD) so it made me so happy to see how well received it was. I would love to do audio, smbient-only ASMR and music videos, hopefully more frrquently too. Working on upgrading my camera 😁
she turned out amazing!!! I loved the dark pink but the light one is sooo pretty in the end!!! Also kudos because I would only think "Man, that's a lot of work" and all you do is face it head on with the "we can worth with that :)".
Haha thank you so much 🥰☺️ The worst condition the pony is in, the more excited I feel because I picture what it could look like. Chewed, nicotine-smelling, mould-filled ponies... Yes!! Bingo!! 😁
@@RetroGeekCrafts you're welcome ☺️ I hope you don't mind me asking but I liked lil Moondancer so much that I started to draw her. I was wondering if you mind me linking the fanart (or @ you on FB) once it's done? I completly understand if you would rather not tho! ☺️
@@EiswolfZero OMG I would love to!!! I can definitely post it on the FB group. I also created a Discord channel, I only shared it with the Patrons but it's open to everyone. Poor Spike, he never did get that present to Moondancer. S1E1 G4 reference 😸 Nice job, like the hair colour you chose. The voice over was nice. I agree with Meinhart François, I never knew that the poses had names. I love learning little facts like that. I like the ASMR, the little sounds that accompanies the work. Tend to watch these as I wind down for the night, find them to be very relaxing.
Thank you for your message Jason! I think I will do (or try to do!) versions of the most popular videos, so there's a sound-only one and a music/voice. I'm working towards updating my camera so I can do ASMR, hopefully soon! ☺️☺️
I love how in the progress there is the audio, so you can hear the water on the bowl and you cleaning it with soap, now i just noticed that most clay artists do not put the audio of them working but i find it more realistic with sound idk why
I am trying to add sound to all videos now, I think it makes them more... yes, realistic, like you said! Painting or modelling are a bit difficult because there's very little sound. In my case, I have the camera right next to my face so unless there are other louder noises all you can hear my breathing 😅 So I keep those parts silent (with music on top). You also need a good mic and a quiet workspace. I hope to make ambient-sound only videos soon, when I can update my camera! ☺️☺️
I love this. I would love to see a Minty restoration, as I remember her as my favorite pony from when I was younger. I think she has a G1 version? But I remember her in G3. I also got into G4 when I was a little older (12-13) and I have loved MLP for a long time. 😊 But unfortunately it seems Minty was left behind, so I’d love to see her again! Gonna go watch your other videos now
I love the voice-over. Lets me tab out for a second and still know where you are. Not to mention you really got me into fixing up my own G1 my little ponies! Most are worst for wear (since i got most at thrift stores) and I'm getting my needed tools this weekend! Super excited to make them look all better again >w
Thank you so much, I'm so glad you enjoyed it 😊😊 That's so great that you're fixing ponies!! I hope you have a fun time bringing them back to their former glory. It's a really satisfying hobby, you'll love it!!
Thanks for adding the warning about removing the pony's head. It seems insignificant but kid me would have been super creeped out because of toy story. It gives you time to skip it or shut your eyes. Also your videos are so calming, especially with the voice over.
No problem ☺️☺️ I'm glad people let me know, now I add notes every time I'm going to cut the pony with the exacto too. I was so use to it it hadn't crossed my mind. Thank you so much for your message 🥰
appreciate the warning for removin the heads ! it doesn't bother me personally, but when i see it happen without warning on other channels it's a little jarring LOL. i love yr videos, im glad i found them !
No problem 😊😊 I was so used to it I didn't think it would be valuable but some people appreciated it, especially those that watch with kids. And that made me more sensitive to it (now I feel bad every time I have to cut the plastic or drop a pony!)
Beautiful job as always. Every Pony would be lucky to have someone as thoughtful as you restoring them :) lovely job. I appreciate hearing you talk (I'm glad you're getting comfortable) slightly hard of hearing, so all of the text is also appreciated :) keep up the lovely work!
Thank you for your message and feedback ☺️☺️ I will try to do two versions of the videos, or mix ambient sound-only with relaxing music and voice over depending on the project :)
I am very much new here, but I tend to watch YT restorations of all kinds when just relaxing, I love to hear the voices behind the creators, you have a great voice for this too, calm and explaining. I say keep it that way, but then it all comes down to what you are the most comfortable with doing with your videos. +1
Thank you so much for your comment 🥰😊 That's really kind of you. I love doing the voice over so I will mix videos with an without (my goal is also to do ambient noise only videos, soon I hope!)

Thank you so much! 😊😊 I'm glad you liked it. I think it works better with the music levels too. I'm still learning but I will definitely keep trying to improve this format (it was also a lot of fun to make)
Hi! Love your content! Since you asked, I enjoy much more the non-voice over videos. For me is super relaxing seeing them, like with those Japanese kitchen ASMR ones. Maybe you can upload both versions :)
gesso is also reversible and water soluble! it's much easier to remove than acrylic paint, and won't damage the factory paint. I would still recommend sealing before and after, but it's a great option imo.
I have never used gesso! (It makes me think of Moriah Elizabeth 😁). You mean for covering the eyes, tict? Sometimes I use tempera paint but I go back to the tape because it's so easy to remove. But I have to give it a try. Thank you so much for the tip!

I very much appreciate your sensitivity to alerting the viewers every time you are to remove the head. It really makes a difference and it matters! I really love your voice over and the attention to detail, as well as the added facts and tips. Thank you for sharing yourself and your work
Thank you so much 😊😊 You're really nice, I appreciate you writing this message.
Absolutely beautiful. My goodness. She must feel stunning.
Thank you so much 😊😊
I will forever refer to this pony as “Celestia’s grandma”.
It's therapeutic to see these dolls get restored.
I'm really glad you find them enjoyable ☺️☺️
I love the long curly hair. She looks like a dream pony
Alright...I have no idea how I was suggested your channel in my line up. I don't watch videos with sound on 99% of the time, and the videos I watch are very very different. But I have watched so many of your videos since it was recommended and I love it! Thanks for sharing your hard work! It's a blast to watch
Welcome aboard! I'm so glad you enjoyed the videos 😊 Thank you so much for watching and for your message!
I love your voiceover, because it’s hard for me to repetitively just read. xD
That's such a relief 😊 I never liked my voice so that makes me feel good!
she turned out amazing!!!
Yes!! Bingo!! 😁
@@RetroGeekCrafts you're welcome ☺️
I hope you don't mind me asking but I liked lil Moondancer so much that I started to draw her.
We were thinking of creating a channel for fan art, that would also be a great place to share. Let me send you a link in case you want to join! discord.gg/RvgZAzUuuh
Poor Spike, he never did get that present to Moondancer. S1E1 G4 reference 😸
Nice job, like the hair colour you chose.
wow, it came out very nicely! i like the tail anchoring technique with the zipties- nice and simple!
Thanks so much! 😊😊
She’s so cute!! Her final colors remind me of Starcatcher from G3! I love her!
Thank you so much 😊😊
Love the extra tail hair and color overall, my favorite so far from what I have seen so far on your channel
Thanks so much 😊😊
I really liked the result, those colors and the style of the hair are fantastic.
Very good work, cute Moondancer!
Thank you 😊 I'm really glad you liked it!
She looks so good! I really like hearing your voice and thoughts on the process throughout!
Thank you so much 🥰☺️
I love it when you voiceover and explain the process! Beautiful pony. I love her curls. ❤️
Thank you, I'm so glad to hear that 🥰☺️
I love this. Gonna go watch your other videos now
Thank you ☺️☺️ I haven't had the chance to do a minty yet, but I have one waiting for repairs! I hope you enjoyed the videos :)
What a gorgeous mane! You did a great job, definitely giving me retro toy vibes. Voice over was wonderful.
Thank you so much!! 😊😊
appreciate the warning for removin the heads ! it doesn't bother me personally, but when i see it happen without warning on other channels it's a little jarring LOL. i love yr videos, im glad i found them !
Thank you so much for your words and your feedback 😊😊
I personally prefer without voiceover, mostly because i watch these videos to go to sleep to. but honestly, these vids are awesome either way !
Thank you for your message and feedback ☺️☺️ I will try to do two versions of the videos, or mix ambient sound-only with relaxing music and voice over depending on the project :)
Hearing your voice is the best part of the repaint, definitely keep it 👍
Wow, thank you!!! ☺️🥰
Nice glamour up there, this ones one of my favorite for some reason!
I definitly adore your video ! I also like the new hair colour you chose. This pony transformation is stunning once again ! 😍
Thank you so much 😊😊
I enjoy your voiceovers incredibly! Please continue to do them.
Thank you so much 😊😊 I will!
This was a wonderful, instructional video, especially the simple voiceover
She's super adorable and the hair is gorgeous!!! ♥
Thank you so much 😊😊
The voice over is great!! And I just LOVE that pink stripe in her mane!! So pretty
Thank you!! ☺️🥰
i loved the final result , the colors are so pretty and hearing your voice is nice :)
Thank you so much 😊🥰
as an artist, I am VERY jealous of your ability to color match lmao
Thank you, that's very kind 😊😊 But the camera helps a lot!
beautiful restoration, she looks lovely! i’ve been watching a few of your videos with my little sister and the voice over is an absolute treat, it really helps to keep the video engaging :D she looks beautiful!
Thank you so much 😊😊 I'm so glad you like the voice, I was very insecure when I recorded this one. But I actually really enjoyed it so I think all the videos will have at least a little voice intro from now on!
Just found this channel today, very cool work and so mindful, the captions and voiceover and pacing are all perfect :)
Thank you so much!!! 😊😊
she's gorgeous!! love your color choices
Thank you 😊😊
😊💕 oh my gosh that is so pretty I love the one pink strip in the hair that was such a good idea it's so cute
Thank you so much 😊😊
Coolness, a voiceover! Love it!! I loved hearing you voice what the thought process behind your decisions and the explanations as well! Her hair turned out amazing!! And as always, blown away by your skills and knowledge. 💜💜💜
Thank you so much for your comment! I really glad you liked the voice over. I will mix videos with and without (and add ambient-only videos when I update the camera) 😊😊
@@RetroGeekCrafts I’ve noticed you’re editing style too has gotten even more polished! It was already great and professional, but I love seeing your style and channel grow! 🥰
I really liked the voice over! Your voice is very friendly and relaxing, and you added some extra tips and info that were very interesting! Overall it was very well balanced with the music breaks :)
Thank you so much! 😊😊 I'm glad you liked it. I think it works better with the music levels too. I'm still learning but I will definitely keep trying to improve this format (it was also a lot of fun to make)
wow i really love the hair style you did for her, it looks great!
Thank you 🥰😊
Love the pink in the hair, you gave her some gorgeous colors!! ❤❤
Thank you 😊😊
Hi! Love your content! Since you asked, I enjoy much more the non-voice over videos. For me is super relaxing seeing them, like with those Japanese kitchen ASMR ones. Maybe you can upload both versions :)
Thank you for your feedback! I'd love to do ASMR versions of all videos (I will when I finally update my camera!). I love those knife videos 😁
gesso is also reversible and water soluble! it's much easier to remove than acrylic paint, and won't damage the factory paint.
Actually my favorite pony thus far, and love your voice over!
Thank you so much Jaimie! ☺️☺️
I like hearing your voice!
Thank you so much, this one has more talking so I was a little scared it might be too much or unnecessary ☺️☺️
This was my favorite pony. I had the mom and baby together.
Thank you 😊😊
Such a gorgeous job on this one. Those curls turned out wonderfully. Also, I don't mind the voice over at all
Thank you 😊😊 I'm really glad you liked it!!
I been watching your videos a while and I love them! It is really nice to see when you give old ponies life again 🥰
I was inspired and will soon try it myself, I have a few well loved-ponies stored away.
I really like the voice over as well!
Thank you so much!! It;s great that you want to give restoration a try, it's an amazing hobby. Always satisfying, and you can revert most things you do if you make a mistake. Good luck with your projects!! 😊😊
So pretty! I love what you did for this! Great color combination!
Thank you so much, I'm really glad you liked it ☺️☺️
Moondancer looks Gorgeous!! See you on your next video. :)
Thank you 🥰😊
She looks sooo pretty! Well done!
Thank you so much 😊🥰
This is only the second video of yours ive watched, And I just wanted to say I think it's really sweet and also kinda funny that you warn when you pull off the head. That's something I wouldn't have thought twice about doing without warning. Thought it was sweet.
Thank you 😊😊 It was suggested to me in the comments, and I thought it was a good idea!
She look so good at the end
Thanks 😊🥰
I like your voice overs! And Moondancer turned out fabulous 😍
Thank you!! ☺️☺️
She’s absolutely gorgeous! Very well done! 💞💗💖💗💓
Thank you so much 😊😊
OMG I LOVE the final result its just so gorgeous i wish i had a pony like that as a kid, it would be my favorite for sure... And i have a question... You had done so many restorations... have you ever had a dream about it? If yes was it funny?
Thank you so much 🥰☺️ That's a great question! I think I had a dream about restoration but I can't remember what I was working on. It wasn't a pony, it was something like... A robot 🤖 One think that does happen is that, for example now that I'm on holidays for a coupe of weeks, I really miss restoring ponies. It's a really satisfying hobby 🥰☺️
I just love your voice and you're videos are astonishing and beautiful i will continue to watch you as much as i can
Thank you so much for your message 😊😊
I don’t mind the voice over, but fantastic job on the restoration!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much 😊😊
I really enjoyed the voice over! I love your pony makeover videos!
Thank you so much 😊😊
