Alton towers in lockdown was amazing. Longest queue was half an hour, most rudest you basically just walked to the front. We went about 5 times in 2 years
I went last week and had fast passes would definitely recommend getting them as hot to the front of the queue and on the coasters straight away- loving your content ❤
As someone who is at Alton rn i can confirm i am deathly sacred of the haunted manor (jump scares ALOT, the voices,the vibes and how close the animatronics get to u,no not fnaf themed.)
I went around 2 weeks ago and went on Smiler, Oblivion, Thirteen, Rita, Nemesis and then Galactica twice in that order, was a really great day and I'd never been on coasters before
Friday 3rd November 2023: Park is open from 10am until 9pm for fireworks. Took into account late opening and arrived around 1pm. Came off last ride at around 9:05pm and on way out could still hear people screaming on rides. Rides and wait times in order we went on them: Smiler 1hr 20 mins, Thirteen 45 mins, (Rita closed in preparation for fireworks) Wicker Man 1hr, Galatica 5 minutes (after fireworks 8:20pm) Rita 15 mins and Wicker Man again 20 mins. Oblivion and Nemesis were closed. The fireworks display starts at 7pm and lasted half an hour. Non stop fireworks. Amazing to see whilst on a ride but definitely better to see when not screaming in fear and delight 😂🤣🫣
Also a good route! I always like getting there early in the prequeue to tick off either smiler or wickerman early then it frees up some time in the afternoon
I went on the Smiler first at Alton Towers on a school trip and thanks to me and my mate running we were the first ones in the school to get onto it we waited around 50 mins which is good for the smiler and if we didn't do that then we wouldn't have gotten on for the rest of the day since it was closed after we went on it
Th13teen is amazing!! One time I cued up 2ice for an hour each time to be turned away last minute because it had broken down. Didn't get to go on that day :(. So next time I went, I made up for it by going on th13teen a ridiculous amount of times. It's my fav!!
The Roller Coaster Tycoon screams in the beginning gave me childhood flashbacks to all the people I killed by launching fully loaded trains into guest paths that had a “no entry” sign placed at the entrance of the park so no one could escape because they are law abiding citizens. I regret nothing
I went to alton towers at the hotel for 2 days and it was my first time going on a rollercoaster I went on runaway mine,thirt3en,nemesis reborn,galactica and wicker man I also did the small ride like Congo river,nemesis sub terra and curse at alton manor
Best Life hack is to go on a day with shitty weather at the start of the day that ends up being ight and midweek, I did this and went on every ride and longest wait time I had was 10 minutes
I have a fast track for every ride in Alton towers yearly, it’s so good being able to jump ahead but the only ride I’ve found this difficult on is galactica who’s queues are always the most delayed due to technical faults.

wicker man had a long queue even in fast track but i went x sector 1st then rita and th13teen blade wicker man then C.A.A.M runaway train then luckily we got on spinball
I agree with the wicker man first but I would the head to the smiler second if you like it. Then followed by oblivion. I would then head to Duel, then nemisis, head over to galactica at about midday have lunch (It’s best if you make your own) then later I would head to the quieter rides, then finishing with Dark forest. Been on everything that many times i no idea how many. Go on quiet day end of june seems best time before school holidays and school trips. Worked for me past 22 years and sometime dont even have to get off ride as its that quite Wikerman is crap btw dont even bother unless you scared of roller coaster to start with. Hunted house and sub are also pish. But then i not been child for 30+ years

I’m pretty sure it opens at 9 for those staying in Alton towers accommodation. Otherwise it opens at 10 - note for those going for nine and not staying in accommodation 😊
yeah, the most i've ever seen it is 35 minutes, but only because they delayed the smiler opening and many people got fed up of waiting so they went to oblivion. good thing me and my dad got out since it didn't open till about 11
I do (when nemisis is open) nemisis, galactica, rita, thirteen, smiler oblivion then wickerman and afyer that I reride, I managed to do that on a July weekend and rerode thirteen smiler nemisis and galactica. Defos a good route
I went on a day when it was apparently meant to be closed. Didn't get the memo, turned out something happened and they were then able to open it. Absolutely queue-free on every ride until after mid-day
My secret is to go do the race there you get a full day included, it is so quiet it is only a 5 min queue for wicker man, at the end people went home and we had to wait for people to get on Rita as it was to quiet 🤫 don’t tell anyone about this
I love single rider! I went on smiler on my own as partner didn't fancy it ! Queue time was about 40 mins single rider I was on within 5 mins its was fab x ❤
Sadly nemises is closed so this Halloween I can’t go on it but last Halloween when I went to Alton towers they didn’t scan my fast pass for a few of them so I did them again and they still did not scan but I had to wait a bit or they might of recogniced
Single rider is a godsend. On a coaster it doesn't matter who you are sat by 😂

I’m 12 years old tho so I prefer to sit with my family on the smiler

Smiler is so good! The fact that it crashed makes it more adrenaline fuelled 😂
I think that another good idea would be to ride galactica or nemesis last so you can leave from the exit close to them

I always do oblivion first because it gets the adrenaline pumping the most ✌️
Personally I do: 13, Rita, Spinball, Smiler, Wickerman, Galactica, Sky ride, oblivion!

We usually just get platinum fast track while we’re there, so we get to skip all the queues.
