At the very end of the video, where you stopped at a dead end where you could see sand and the river... the houes on your direct left is where i lived from birth until 21. My dad rebult the whole inside and turned it into a 6 unit condo with a 3 story "townhouse" in the back right hand side. That took up the whole back right side for a total of 7 units. The townhouse part is where we lived. The house is shaped like U if the U had all strait sides. In the back middle there is a courtyard. It was literally the most awesome place to grow up in.
I grew up in Penn's Grove. So sad to see how bad things have gotten. You drove by my home, sad to see it in such a state of disrepair. Many good memories, some not so good, I don't think I'll ever go back to visit. The riverfront was the best part of the town. Spent most of my early years around, on, or in the river. Thanks for the memories.
6:16 when you made the right you drove til you couldn't drive but you didnt get out and walk down to the small beach that's right there and a good fishing spot
NO... DO NOT, walk out on the beach at the dead-end (the corner of West Maple Ave and State Street). ( That's ALL private property (from the high tide line to the houses) owned by the ppl who live along the waterfront. There's even a no trespassing sign where the pavement meets the sand. On the left is a big apartment house. I grew up living in it for 20+ years. My dad bought it off my grandmother for $1 and turned it into a 6 unit condo with a 3 story town house. We lived in the townhouse
@@Lol-r6j3k the bitches was super d*ckriding.. the niggaz were tryna be cool but mad scary acting. I felt the hate haha. Whole vibe was just off that night bro smh
Videographer obviously doesn’t know the area since he stayed just on the west streets or perhaps his main objective was to try and only show the part of town that could use a bit of revitalization.
@@goodjawn610negro I’m from up North never even heard of Penns Grove but to see cars on both side of the street, how the fck could we not notice? Paterson NJ in here!
It's not bad it's half hood half good. One of them towns everyone knows each other. Used to work out there. Very hard working tough people. May have it's problems but nowhere as blighted as Camden
Great place to vacation if your a minority person, but want to experience the country, the rodeo, and other caucasian pursuits........cheap too!...highly recommend the Grove, or salem itself!
