  • I’m sure you’ve all heard the saying that life is too short. Sometimes I think that we get older that it’s still not enough time to enjoy all of what the world has to offer. For the family of this marvelous mansion life would be stopped completely after a tragic plane crash. When I say life would be stopped completely I’m not just talking about the ones involved but also the loved ones left behind.
    Situated in a neighborhood full of extravagant homes sits a 90% finished 30,000 square foot estate that was abandoned in 2016. The original man that had this home built was a surgeon who owned several practices throughout surrounding states. After all of his hard work to build his family’s wealth he wanted his wife and children to live in their dream home. Construction started in 2006 for this $10,500,000 home with 10 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. But only a couple years later tragedy would take place. The man was a licensed single engine pilot and he and his 15 year old son went out flying one day only to never return. They had crashed into a mountain instantly killing the man and his son. The wife was left with her 3 other children and was forced to sell home. Afterwards it was purchased by a foreigner who lived in it until 2015 when he moved back to his native country and the taxes stopped getting paid. Ever since the grand mansion has sat abandoned with everything left behind including 3 cars. So join me today and let’s see what’s left.

    This is how we leave life, we take nothing. This should serve as a reminder to all no matter where in society you place yourself, your profession, we all leave empty handed. This is just a building with items in, the power of a home and family are incredible. Regardless, we all leave everything behind somewhere on this earth in the end.

    It’s so bizarre to me how things just get abandoned like that. Heirlooms, a car.. let alone the entire home. It’s just so eerie to me to think that there was once life in this home. Laughter, tears, voices. And now it’s just.. a homeless home.

    "The surgeon moved into the home with his family while it was under construction, but just six months later he and his 15-year-old son were killed in a plane crash, according to the urban explorer.
    He left behind a wife and three other children, but the surgeon had not been paying the premiums on his life insurance and thus all financial support was removed from her.
    At that time there was still $9,892,600 owed on the mansion and the mortgage was nearly $62,000 a month. Within three months the bank seized the property, it was 90 per cent finished and has been left to the elements since.

Living the dream and then suddenly.....it all comes to a halt . Someone disappears or dies and the sadness...wow. So overwhelming...one day for your own sanity and mental /emotional/physical health you just walk away.
      To anyone living who lived in this house and had to save yourself , I hope you are doing well and not so haunted by the weight of this loss.

      How do you know?? Many of these people are frauds, spoiled entitled, disrespectful, rude, arrogant, shallow, and "I am superior" nasty to others. "Let me impress others with superficial things", so I can make myself feel great. My idea of dignity and grace differs from yours, probably by a significant margin. In my view, just owning an overtly big expensive home and owning many superficially expensive and overtly excessive things to impress others, doesn't automatically make someone dignified and graceful. In my view dignity and grace is earned by the character of ones life and the respect earned based on how they positively impact others.

    Vanity of vanities… “ sad… to sad to see all this abandoned.

    • @leahr9038
      @leahr9038 27 днів тому

      All is vanity and a chasing after the wind. From Ecclesiastes 2, King Solomon wrote:
      "I undertook great projects: I built houses for myself and planted vineyards. I made gardens and parks and planted all kinds of fruit trees in them. I made reservoirs to water groves and flourishing trees... I amassed silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and provinces.
      I denied myself nothing my eyes desired;
      I refused my heart no pleasure.
      My heart took delight in all my labor,
      and this was the reward for all my toil.
      Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done
      and what I had toiled to achieve,
      everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind;
      nothing was gained under the sun.
      Then I said to myself,
      “The fate of the fool will overtake me also.
      What then do I gain by being wise?”
      I said to myself,
      “This too is meaningless.”
      For the wise, like the fool, will not be long remembered;
      the days have already come when both have been forgotten.
      Like the fool, the wise too must die!
      So I hated life, because the work that is done under the sun was grievous to me. All of it is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. I hated all the things I had toiled for under the sun, because I must leave them to the one who comes after me. And who knows whether that person will be wise or foolish? Yet they will have control over all the fruit of my toil into which I have poured my effort and skill under the sun. This too is meaningless.
      So my heart began to despair over all my toilsome labor under the sun. For a person may labor with wisdom, knowledge and skill, and then they must leave all they own to another who has not toiled for it. This too is meaningless and a great misfortune. What do people get for all the toil and anxious striving with which they labor under the sun?
      Now all has been heard;
      here is the conclusion of the matter:
      Fear God and keep his commandments,
      for this is the duty of all mankind.
      For God will bring every deed into judgment,
      including every hidden thing,
      whether it is good or evil."

The wife and remaining kids kept being haunted so they sold and got out. The new guy that moved in was so terrified by the angry spirit that he just split, leaving almost everything behind, even fled the country. The squatter these guys heard wasn't a squatter at all, it was the evil spirit or perhaps the ghost of the doctor or son trapped in the house by the evil spirit. Its completely obvious to anyone who can read the tea leaves.

The shape allowed for him to be protected from the elements and as someone else also commented it also was good for sound i.e. blocking out the household or courtyard noise so you could hear guests arrive but its original purpose was not a music chair. I actually learned about these chairs at a haunted New England hotel. Loving this and not even half way through.

    As the guy was showing us more and more boxes from extravagant things, the only thought I had was that no matter how much stuff these people bought, nothing was enough for them! How many shoes, bags, clothes does one person need? Most of the clothes still had their tags on them.
    I honestly think extremely rich people like this are very unhappy. That's why a lot of them have drink and drug problems. They get a quick fix from ordering the latest shoes or trainers or whatever, but 10 minutes later the thrill wears off. Buying things doesn't make you happy. Friends, family and love makes you happy.
    Don't get me wrong, being broke doesn't make you happy either, but I think there's a certain amount of money that hits the right spot! Enough to not have to worry about bills; enough to live in a nice comfortable home; enough to feed your family good food; enough to give to charity or a friend in need; and enough to go on a holiday or two each year. That to me would be bliss.
    I feel sorry for the first family that the man and son died. However, I don't think the second family cared about this house. They had so much money they could afford to just abandon it like this. I think wealth like this is vulgar, to be honest. If they have so much money why not gift the house to some charity when they were leaving the country instead of letting it go to ruin? To me it's disgusting that children in the world are dying of poverty and at the same time people like this are wasting so much money. I guarantee they'd be happier human beings if they gave more than they take.
    Perhaps they were criminals who had to flee the country? Why else would you just leave things like a Mercedes car behind?
    To finish, I wouldn't buy this house if it was the last house on the planet. It has a very bad vibe that seeps through the screen. I'm not sure if it's because of the poor man and son dying, or if it's from whomever bought it afterwards.
    Alternatively, it makes me wonder if the house somehow brings bad luck to its owners? I do believe there are properties that have bad vibes. I hope the next owners demolish it and start again (and have the land blessed before they begin!). Wouldn't be me, that's for sure.

    • @jamessteele5918

      Yeah for real, the bad vibes are palatable. Honestly, I think the guy who amassed such wealth and built this house from nothing must've been a real winner full of life energy. What kind of all-star creates a property like this, gives such a life to his family, and takes his kid flying on planes. He must've been a swell guy. That's what makes it sad and contributes to the bad vibes. The fact that this place was cynically commoditized and abandoned by obvious bad people with more money than brains or morals only makes it worse. I can't believe the stuff hasn't been taken, that's the most couching shocking thing, but on a positive note it reinforces the idea that monitarily expensive things don't count for much and sentimental things are really what count

      Respectfully disagree. People go to two extremes. "I'd rather be poor and happy instead of being super rich!" Those are mutually exclusive.
      Poor is when you're worried about pay your bills on timr or theres no safety net. You want to move to a "good" neighborhood, schools , low crime, etc. Well, that takes money, honey. You need to be ricjh to buy a house
      There's a false idea that "poor" trumps being rich. And that you're morally superior than rich folks.
      You want your kids to goto Private schools and college w/o debt? Yeah, thats a desire to be "rich" and if you have that, you're rich. People are hypocrites.
      The doctor was stupid w/ life choices. Agreed. He could've b been overextended on his credit. Many average ",homeowners fall into this trap too.
      You know what money brings? Comfort , choices, security, and experiences that " poor" people would trade in a heart beat. Choices to not work and stay home. If the dr. Paid the insurance premiums the wife would've have choices. To stay in the house or move. Being able to stay @ home instead of forced to work and find child care.
      Many can relate to the expensive clothes b/c we know how much designer clothes cost. But its difficult to relate to a the cost of building a 10 million house b,/c its so abstract.

Due to the fact the doctor was not paying his premiums on his life insurance they lost everything. Everything I’ve found only hints to one owner which is why the house stayed unfinished after they lost it.
