Finally after years, we have not only a new announcement of the SD50, but an overall upgrade for them. I hope this opens the door the modernized variants in the future: SD50M, SD50-2 and SD40E.

While these SD50’s are all sure to be absolutely stunning models, I will have to hold hope for the Lake State Railway versions.

I keep wishing and hoping for a Genesis U33c/U36c. A lot of road names would make this very marketable.
Yes sir...SP had 212 U33C's! And in Athearn Genesis, it would be amazing.
New n scale locomotives
I can’t believe they are skipping the seaboard system sd50 units if they are doing chessie, they go hand in hand for early csx. Are the conrail 50’s with flexicoil trucks on the drawing board as well???
Are they going to have rear lighted number boards too?
The Rio Grande light package. I read that some of the lights could be switch between steady and flashing. Will these do that too? The F units need upgraded to G2 standards. I'm also hoping for SD60M two window cab in G2 standards. I want to have one 3 window, and one 2 window cab in BN green and upgrade my BN #1991 to have lighted number boards too.

We’ll it’s not that bad announcement but uh the SD50s and 60s are AWSOME too but one day hoping for AC6000CWs

All of the locomotives that you showed looked great but I miss when you could purchase a plain Jane undecorated model without any livery or letting and then paint it to what ever road you wanted.
I have failed in love with some SD70ace-BB, Dash 9 40-BB and ES43ace-BB locomotives unfortunately I know that you only sell the American version of these locomotives and not an undecorated kit with interchangeable plug and play trucks where one could build up the locomotive swapping out the H0 co trucks for H0n3.5 (12mm) two sets of bo-bo articulated trucks which would cover cover most of various of the same locomotive used by railroads worldwide like those meter gauge in Brazil.

@@riogrande5761 except that 13 out of my 15 locos are athrean genesis. I got 2 bowsers and they are nice don’t get me wrong but was expecting at least something that’s cp from athrean they haven’t announced any Canadian railways for a while now

@Athearn where is the steam???? Has it just disappeared are you guys not doing it anymore??? I'm very concerned about the lack of steam projects and you guys doing retooled SD50s......yawn and yet another caboose........DOUBLE YAWN 🥱🥱🥱🥱 I don't remember people asking for these or if they did that's a problem.
Always someone complains about not getting what they want. Usually it's me, but with this announcement, finally Rio Grande cabooses! Yippie!
