While the resurrection of the fuel system featured in this video was mostly successful, I have discovered there is something wrong with the fuel pump. I cannot get the primer bulb to firm up as it should when the float bowls are full and I can hear fuel flowing at the fuel pump. This tells me the pump diaphragm is leaking. Parts are on order and in a future video we will fix the pump up and try running the boat on the lake.
These carbs are identical to the ones i have on my 1987 125hp Force. I too just removed mine and cleaned them. The location of the idle mix screw is in the same location which appears to be different form any of the schematics I have been looking at. I have put them back on and all appears to be working great.... I am just concerned about setting the idle mix correctly.
It is normal for older two stroke motors to smoke. The newer ones like the Evinrude E-Tech uses less oil so they do not smoke very much. Older ones like the Force do smoke a fair bit when cold but less so once they warm up.

Yes. That's the first thing I thought when watching this... why didn't you replace the fuel pump diaphragm and clean those check valves!
My 97 force has 3/8 going from the tank to the fuel pump then 5/16 from the pump to the carbs

@@DougsMessyGarage Thankyou
What size fuel line
You are correct about the stepped down size of the pump to carb line.
