Valid points, it really is sad to see a piece of our childhood just completely fall apart like this.
Now this is actually accurate to the statement of pixel worlds now because this game was my childhood too back in 2017 and 2018 and i wouldn't like this game to end up like this, sadly the hackers are winning here and it's pretty sad to see a childhood game like PW to die apart like this, very good video tho

See, I had pulled the lever since 2022, There was a time period where one of the least trustworthy moderators had become corrupt started silencing people for actively talking about their position in the moderator team. It was a whole conversation in the community (In or outside the discord server), And to blueprint the suspicion further, they actually had a few words censored in the server in regards of the whole shtick.
But with unfortunate turn, action would not be taken for a complete month or two until the new manager had spoken about It publically which should of been the day 1 problem solver.
From my own personal view, making this the "construct evidence" that the game would cease in one aspect or another, would be an understatement.
Like you said it, Kukouri had no backup plans to find replacements in time to prepare for these sort of things leaving the game vulnerable would be in some way on them.
... I get it, however
not quite often does this happen to a lot of indie games or TripleA titles, its more of the people surrounding these games. To sort of give a little description in it:
I've noticed over the years how infested the game got with terrible people roaming rent-free In the community, Whenever Itd be hackers, unpleasant figures, etc. it painted the game In a bad light, almost like you'd be walking on eggshells everywhere.
It's also why I've had issues with it prior to this event, not even recently when i visited it a month ago i was greeted with some bot advertising me junk, someone making an unremarkable/sensitive statement thinking its funny, it put me in complete shock with how they can just casually say that.
And with how much exploiting there is with this game, makes me question if the hackers have had any other important hobbies before they laid their hands on it. Possibly due to an unrelated reason but the people surrounding this most likely came from the other title that inspired this game. (gt)

But unfortunately like most games, they are not bond to last forever. The origin that kicked the project may have had humble beginnings, sadly left on a cliffhanger years later, which Is where It Is at right now.
I vividly have had good memories with this title from these years, growing up. The aesthetic of the game blew me away when I was In middle school while playing GT at the time.
Fortunately at the time it was exclusive to some countries, but around january i was able to play it since it launched globally.
At some point when i was playing the game, I wanted to draw something for the game, dus with the power of art, I tried making fanart items for the game.. first attempts weren't as impressive, but deliberately I continued to improve, until I wanted to expand further beyond my comfort zone of what I was capable of. Furthermore I drew down potential orb backgrounds, enemy varieties, etc. But It wasn't enough. I wanted to conceptualize full blown potentional features the game could add, and by miracle it has happened, leaving me with a badge of honor that I still have in my heart. It was astonishing.
I contributed what would be some of the emojis that the official PWG discord have, Atleast the majority of them.
It would not stop there, I just did couldn't stop myself from making things for the sake of making! That's the creative aspect!!
I mean for crying out loud, even my mascot Is literally my own interpretation of my ingame character that originated from this game, so on so fourth I've been modding other games to add my own character(s) with aspects from this game, that i would later hopefully include into a fully fledged game/franchise to leave an impact.
Without going off the rails, it's unfortunate where this game is heading, and I don't know what can be done about it with its current condition, It's unknown if the effort to save the game is worth a dime, but that'll definitely be revealed sooner.
I do hope, if it doesn't go anywhere as an online game, whereof the lifespan have met its toll, should be archived somehow for some people to play it when the server support is finished, I think that way people can still enjoy it in some way.

I hope they fix the dupe and wipe everyone's inventories. Having to start from zero would be way more fun.
Main priority should definitely be to get rid of all these duped items! The problem is that it has been such a long time since it started happening, so the admins wouldn't be able to rollback now.
They gonna get sued if they just wipe off everyones inventories.

Portal worlds aka pixel worlds has been a Great game community that has been expanding for the last 4 years since the development in 2016. It has greatly went downfall since the last few developer left the game.
Making it break the economy itself and the game.
And afterwards, it has greatly been worsen after replacing the world locks with byte coins.
as they so called that it would make them more easy to trade rather than using the original trade system.
afterwards of some time it got worse, making the economy of the game take it's final breath, before crashing like a train.
the game itself is great but it has been a pleasure playing this game.

Those are just rumours! Kukouri themselves have not confirmed any shutdown.

4:44 Honestly that's a good question... It's been 2 years the game is vulnerable and every time developers are fixing an issue, hackers come up with a more powerful hack... like how the f did they managed to dupe mug masks and get this invisible mode item thing you showed at 3:21..
I'll be honest that i think the game will eventually shut down if devs don't do anything... Lokalapsi is currently on a maternity leave but who knows.. maybe when she will be back things will change but for now it doesn't sounds any good for the game..
Dupes waves emerging out of nowhere, unreleased items literally pop up and getting spread massively.. glitched seeds... yea.. this is definitely not the "Pixel Worlds" i've put 10k hrs + into.. i don't recognize this game i've put thousands of hours into now 😕

I miss when jake dare those hackers to hack the game, now sadly without him it's a mess.
Really sad what happened to the game. Talked to an ex-moderator a few weeks ago and even they were complaining about the admins' lack of communication for simple things such as requesting logs or permabans 😂. Like bruh there's no way Kukouri is paying a PIXEL ARTIST right now. Pretty much every single new sprite that has been added is just a recolor or modification of an already existing item...
My best guess as to why the game is still alive is as to not taint Commander's reputation with future investors at Social First. After all, would you really invest in a company knowing that the founder's previous one went bankrupt and/or got shut down?

Kind of even surprised people still make videos on this game, I mean most of them are just making pretty average videos boasting about 100m+ bytecoins or promoting a giveaway and joining a discord server. I honestly expected this since Jake left that it wouldn't be the same and that it would either be good or worse, but from what I can see from the economy it's dwindling and items that were once seen as 'rare' are now easily accessible due to hackers/dupers, and even items that weren't worth much before are now worth at least a few million.
It is sad as a veteran that played since beta to see the game you once loved and spent hours playing is now just nothing but a colossal fanatic gambling cesspool of people trying to be rich but honestly isn't worth the time cause what really defines rich if anyone and everyone has millions upon millions of bytes. It's just pure greed.
I wouldn't even mind if the game shuts down, in my opinion it's beyond saving, there is far too many bytecoins in circulation and items in the PWE and even if they removed all the duped items, hackers will always find another exploit to take advantage of and do it again.

Nah this game is dead is game over literally but I do feel bad for the players who grew up with this game, I grew up with growtopia started when I was 8 now im 18 you never really quit you just take breaks then come back to see the new content and repeat. I honestly never really liked pixel worlds but my freinds in real life really seemed to enjoy it, I never enjoyed pixel worlds due to the graphics I just felt like they were not as smooth as growtopia. Good luck with your channel man hope for the best!

I’m surprised to see a PW related video on my recommended page on UA-cam. Let alone a video by you, and holy, I used to be a huge fan of ya, nice to see that you’re doing well. But yeah, the game is devastating now, dupe isn’t the only concerning issue. As someone who had been popular for no clear reason at a really young age, i recieved a lot of inappropriate and disturbing messages and explicit photos of said body part. Even nowadays when I log onto PW for nostalgia and friends, I get a lot of inappropriate messages said to me by weirdos. PW genuinely has been nothing much but a predator hunting ground to me. Samw could be said for majority of my underaged friends whom played the game. I don’t think there is really any way to save the game with the damage done. The social part of the game is also structured badly where majority of the people there view you for your wealth and status rather than just being you for you. I have grown so detached from Pixel Worlds that I can’t even view it as an enjoyable game anymore, rather a game that USED to be nice to be in and forever will never be again.

They should let dedicated players who love the game moderate it, to prevent duping and help with new updates. But no one is answering. I’ve sendt multiple messages to both jake and pw support, yet I havent gotten any response. They are lazy, and they deserve their game loosing players

You're probably right. A game goes into "life support" when they no longer see an incentive to keep something running. In this case it's probably monetary gain, so they're stalling it for as long as possible.
