Praise God there are still families who can work together through hard times. Truly a lesson to train up unselfish adults who have deep faith and a love to serve. Good job on the parents for raising helpful and loving humans.
I want to say, I love seeing your older girls and their video's they make for you, Mama. So smart and hard-working and a pleasure to see the love of a big family. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. Praying for your family
Mamabear you have an awesome family! All working together and all staying together to get through the hard time you’re all going through! Bless you and your family! ❤️❤️
Wow, that’s a lot of planning for the month. Sounds great. You have great kids to take care of all the things that Mama Bear normally does for the family. I know that comforts you while in the hospital with Azariah.
I wanted to say that you have amazing kids! They have been taught so well and know exactly what they need to do to keep your house running smoothly. You should definitely be very proud of them!
Indeed! The older kids, too, are modeling adaptive and flexible behaviors for their younger siblings! And it’s so cute… your daughters sound just like you! 😎
You are so well organized. Planning and lists is how I manage as well so I don’t get overwhelmed at everything I need to do The girls will have fun preparing and taping the meals. Your girls do a wonderful job!
My children are grown and not living at home any longer. I am going to try to do some what of a pantry challenge too so I can utilize the food I have in our freezers. Last month I went through my cabinets… couldn’t believe the things I let expire. You have given me motivation Mamabear to utalize what I have, and save some money! You have done a great job of teaching your children to cook and help out!
@@e.cahill9594 It is still better to,be safe than sorry. For grains like dry rice, oats, flour, and noodles etc... often the smell test is good. For powdery things like flour, cornmeal, corn starch wet yoir finger dip it in and just touch to the tip of your tongue; for oats take a taste of a flake. What goes bad with these things are fats which go rancid. Cornmeal amd corn starch have no fat so shouldn't go bad but they can absorb the smells around them; the same with baking soda. White rice generally doesn't go bad but can dry out a little more either needing some extra liquid. Brown rice, the red rice, etc...do have both the germ and fat which can go bad; you can tell by the smell but often you've got plenty of time past the date. Baking powder becomes less effective so you'll need to use more and risk the baked item not rising correctly. Of course this applies to any baking mix like cakes, muffins, cookies, pancakes and waffles, and other quick breads. We used to add 1/2 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon of baking powder from the baking shelf. If its a mix you only add water to, you do have to watch out for rancid fats, egg powder, and/ or milk products in addition to the baking powder and lackmof rise. Most spices loose thier flavor so, youll, have to add a bit more; again let your nose be your initisl guide.
Nice that your girls are learning to cook. My sisters and I learned to cook at an early age. I also taught my 2 boys how to cook. Which was a good thing because they married gals that don't cook 😊
I have a problem since my son left home that I always cook too much, so what I do is put excess into foil trays and freeze the surplus, for another day, or when I'm not feeling too good, the meals you're thinking of making sound absolutely delicious 😋
Sounds like some fun cooking! Looking forward to the photos. Being in Bean Town, maybe make some Boston Baked Beans. I have a recipe from my Husband’s Grammie- it’s well over 100 years old - and comes from Maine( Husband was born in Portland, and lived in Cape Elizabeth as a child). We have a fondness for Maine, and visit often❤
@ Grammy’s Baked Beans 2 C navy beans 1 1/2 tsp. Salt 1/2 C brown sugar 1/4 C + 1 TBLSP molasses(NOT black strap) 1/2 tsp. Dry mustard 1 small onion( about 1/3-1/2 C) 1 C boiling water( water you boiled your beans in) 1 stick butter *Wash beans and pick out any bad ones. Soak BEANS overnight in cold water. Drain in the morning. Boil uncovered until the skins peel back when you blow on them(20+ minutes). (save the water!). Place beans in bean crock and add all ingredients. Top with 6 strips of raw bacon. Cover crock and bake at 300 degrees for about 6 hours or until tender. Be sure to check every 45 minutes or so, and add water when necessary. You don’t want beans to dry out as cooking. Good luck! Maryann
Yes, baked beans… I’m diabetic and I use the Swerve brown sugar and I make a quick ketchup with stevia, ACV, spices--so, it’s full of fiber, plant-based protein and basically sugar free. Maybe even Sweet Pea could eat it. (Regular Baked Beans really spike my blood sugars! That’s why I’ve learned to can my own sugar-free version!)
Wow. You are one amazing momma. I can barely plan a weeks worth of meals much less a month's worth. Blessings to all of you. Hug baby Azariah for me and tell everyone else i said hello from eastern Ky
Would love to know how you make your sweet and sour sauce. Your menu sounds great and I admire you for doing this. God bless you and your family. Hugs and healing to precious Azaria.
So many of your throw together meals sound delish! It's wonderful that you share as I am always looking for new inspiration. You look wonderful as usual, keep up the good works and God Bless.
I want to commend you for sound judgement. I’ve read that you should switch places with your older daughters in order to spend time with your other children. In my humble opinion, you are so wise for not doing this as of yet. Baby A is getting stronger but remains a fragile little baby and you’d never want to put your young adult girls in a situation that could be traumatic for them or force them to make medical decisions that they are clearly unable to make. The right place for them is helping within an environment that is familiar for them and one they feel they can control. Others , have expressed that this challenge is unfair because some people will get more fresh food than others. I heard you say that the discretionary food budget will go to last minute ingredients and fresh fruits…also the kids rotate their location so all kids get momma time and fresh fruits. This family is doing a huge balancing act to keep moving forward during extremely challenging times. This food challenge is a fun way to use their food reserve and not spend funds needlessly. These parents know that this is a difficult circumstance in their lives, the least we all can do is raise them up and pray and they navigate this season of life the best way they can. Keep strong and trusting God🙏🏻
How do u can cabbage. Really would like to know... maybe make double n send to RM house...Maybe u might have to go home main home to can some of meat incase ur house lose power winter is always a possible... love ur family...
At the hospital, do they provide you (nursing mother) all 3 meals or just one? How much more is that a week in your budget for food/incidentals for yourself at the hospital?
I was curious when I saw the jars of peach barbeque sauce, shown in the video of your daughters collecting food to bring, to see how you would you use it. However, unless you are using it on the 30th for the barbeque chicken you aren't using it yet.
Sorry don’t mean to be negative. But your daughters appear to be doing everything. Are the young kids still being homeschooled. Not just touring around. Wishing you all the best for Azariah but maybe let one of the older girls spend a day at the hospital with him. And you organise the young kids on occasion. Just a suggestion. Seems they need a break
How do you know someone needs a break when you don't even know them...they are close to their mom I'd say she'd know if they needed a break..people forget young people have waaaay more engergy then older people do! Her husband is also at the Wells house to help manage things. I'd say the girls do the kitchen/schooling things, but it is something they have always known LORD JESUS is KING of kings and LORD of lords!
Gave some ideas of putting things together. I made sloppy joes last night so tomorrow will be sloppy Joe casserole with the left overs. My son hates leftovers. If he only knew how many times he ate leftovers made into something else. Lol
I am sorry but I think it's unfair to do the pantry challenge this year when you're not the one having to do the meals and such. Also, the people at RMH get fresh meals from whare brought in and aren't being forced into the challenge. I'm supportive of you generally but your daughters are already carrying a huge load and this is grossly unfair.
You do understand that I am making all the menus and buying the needed item correct? It really is no different from making regular meals for our family. I think it is the perfect time to use up some of our very large extensive pantry. If we needed to move this would be lessened. We can save money now. Why did we do the hard work all summer if we werent going to eat the food we prepared? Just some thoughts. IF my daughters did not want to do this then we wouldn't be doing this. But seems how that is not the case we are. I think sometimes I might get scatter brained and not share all the details like that so I thought I would share here with you. Hopefully others can read as well. Ill try to remember to clarify better as well on future videos.

Thank you what a sweet comment.
Incredible how you manage your home when you’re not even there ❤
You're a great inspiration to other women struggling
You do a great job, and your lovely daughters are a blessing.
I want to say, I love seeing your older girls and their video's they make for you, Mama. So smart and hard-working and a pleasure to see the love of a big family. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. Praying for your family
That's so sweet of you to say!
Mamabear you have an awesome family! All working together and all staying together to get through the hard time you’re all going through! Bless you and your family! ❤️❤️
Thank you! We are so blessed!
Your family really seems to be pulling together. I commend you+husband on instilling these values
Thank you, we try to!
Love hearing from you. You have amazing ideas
Wow, that’s a lot of planning for the month. Sounds great. You have great kids to take care of all the things that Mama Bear normally does for the family. I know that comforts you while in the hospital with Azariah.
Yeah… I probably wouldn’t plan that much… just stand in front of the pantry and start pulling things out and cooking as I go… 🙄. Not the best idea….
I wanted to say that you have amazing kids! They have been taught so well and know exactly what they need to do to keep your house running smoothly. You should definitely be very proud of them!

Do they really have a choice?
@@Chichilovee Yes. They have a choice. If you watch their faces, you know they are where they want to be,
We are so blessed! They are a huge help.
Yes anyone over 18 is free to move out they choose to be here.
All these meals you have planned sound delicious!! I took some notes as I want to make some of these as well!
You are so well organized. Planning and lists is how I manage as well so I don’t get overwhelmed at everything I need to do

A lot of expired foods can still be eaten.
@ I didn’t realize that, I will have to look into that… thanks!

@mommabear2many your welcome 😁

All 3 I don’t buy xtras just eat what is provided. Well an occasional cinnamon roll…on maybe a stressful day. With a coupon.

Yes they can if wanted use on either the pork or the chicken meals

Well said. Her children are definitely a blessing
It looks to me that she has amazing kids that are coming together as a family to do what they need to during this season of their life.
She is pumping her milk so that he gets the benefit of mothers milk helps his immune system.
Amen you women are these children has been raised not to be selfish and pitch in and be a family this how I was raised and believe me it was wonderful
Let me get my pen and paper!! Everything sounds delicious! It seems like I always make the same things over and over again! Kinda boring lol!
I think we can all get in a rutt of the same foods sometimes.
❤❤❤
what do they eat for breakfast and lunch during the weeks?
Have yall considered moving south or to a warmer climate or does baby need to stay at that specific hospital?
Actually beans with rice equals a complete protein ❤
Yes accept when speaking in a type 1 diabetic world I consider 2 carbs as well because both are high carb.
I need to be more like you and have a menu plan I just wing it hahaha
lol the wing it plan
You are so much knowledge, one wise lady. ❤
Thank you! 😊
I can only manage 2 weeks menu. Lol
Gave some ideas of putting things together. I made sloppy joes last night so tomorrow will be sloppy Joe casserole with the left overs. My son hates leftovers. If he only knew how many times he ate leftovers made into something else. Lol
