Another hugely enjoyable video! I did the transmission, primary and top end on my T140 basically using Todd's videos and the workshop manual. You're also creating a valuable 'library' of information to keep these bikes on the road. I love it when I get notified you have a new upload, appreciate it all! Cheers, Andy
Wait! ..Kit? I had to buy each component separately after poring over drawings and finding part numbers. I should've installed cams like that. Dang! Now I'm going to have to do another engine. I've got tools now.
I have a 68 Bonny, I've found the main shat installed and tightened to the clutch basket. I think i will need to remove the c basket in order to align main shaft , shifting forks to layshaft and insert as a whole unit, then the clutch basket goes back with steel and fiber discs, correct?. To my knowledge, you can't install the lay shaft after the main has been tightened down because there is no way to align shift pawls and align into the cam plate, correct?
Do you use anything to seal the end of the shift shaft? On the 750s they're not drilled all the way through the case, but on the 650 they go the whole way through. My '66 Thunderbird leaks there, but i'm wondering if its just standard?
So what your telling me.... laying on your side with a flashlight clenched in your teeth.... is not the best position to install transmission gear ! Side note: screw the leaf spring type Good vid

i dont think you can. ive never attempted this but my guess is you need to pull it and start fresh
what gear did you have it in when fit the outer cover, I know people do it different

the shaft on a unit is cut for seal you could modify yours for that
No sealant on the case halves?
i used 1184 3 bond idk the time stamp i show it
