I've had the new parts and the old parts in a tray for over a year because I couldn't figure out how to put the clippers back together. After watching your video all is well and they are working beautifully.Thank you so much.
Saved my butt. Changed the wife's blade drive, and gave it a good cleaning. But the spring ends came out of the metal tab, and I overlooked the little holes.
Thank you, thank you!! I have been driving myself crazy trying to figure out where to those little tension prongs went and how the assembly went back together, piece by piece. It fell apart while I was trying to clean it! Super helpful video!! 👍👍👍
My hinge will not come off the machine, so I can’t put my blades on anymore… if I press the lever, only the black thing moves but not the thing to put the blade over… please help 😅🙈
I change my blade drive about every 3 months and that probably isn't soon enough. The hinge usually needs replaced if the blade is not attaching correctly.
Frances geyer it sounds like you're talking about a ceramic blade. You keep the blade together when you take it off you don't remove the teeth from the blade. the only way to get it back on is to use something to slide it back in place. Usually I use my comb and put it in between where the cutter goes and then lift up lightly while sliding the ceramic teeth back into place. The only time you want to move that is when your oiling the blade but when you oil it you just move it to one side and oil the three friction points and then slide it back where it goes.

The many other UA-cams I looked at did not show how to put the hinge parts together. This included the Andis UA-cam.
Excellent video!

What tells you when the blade drive , or the hinge need to be replaced?
