This channel honestly is some of the best advertising for SeeSii one could imagine. When you have so many random 'brands' on Amazon, it's nice to know there's always one budget option you can go for that won't make you fill up with regret two minutes into using it on that car tyre.
Their high torque and 3/4" impact are terrible though. I wish I could tell you there was a foolproof go to brand on the site, but you'd need to buy from the pricey brands to do this sort of thing blindly without finding reviews and consistently get high performing tools. Which i don't think is surprising to any of us, but is good to know we're still there in 2024.
I bought a seesii just based off these videos, don’t use it a lot just keep it in the truck for emergency use. Hasn’t failed me yet
I bought a 1/2 SeeSii 650nm for 85$ this week. Two batteries case and assorted sockets. I’m going to rotate the tires on my daughter’s car. Wish me luck 🍀
These tools are at best good for occasional light duty work, or giving someone you don't trust, tool to work with, some are good performers and some are bad, but I would not trust any for heavy use.
@@eliadbu I think that's fairly obvious. If I had a job where I was busting nuts a few times every day, I'd go for the expensive tool with the great performance and durability. But for that tool you have in a drawer somewhere that you pull out twice a year to swap the winter & summer tyres, and maybe an occasional stubborn bolt?
Thank you. It *is* absolutely worthwhile to test no-name tools. This has many benefits, actually:
1. it's entertaining
2. provides realistic competition between brands, leveling the playing field
3. exposes dishonest and occasional honest marketing claims
4. discovers high-value tools to consider and low-value tools to avoid
5. identifies reasonable compromises for people with smaller budgets or light-duty applications
6. seems to annoy a few brand snobs ;)

It’s astounding to see the performance numbers these no name brands can put up! I think one of the best options for some of these would be for an in the car or truck tool. I asked about caring an impact wrench in the truck, and it would seem a waste to carry a namebrand, but some of these could be easily justified
Only thing I would really worry about carrying a no name brand in the car would be if the battery will stay charged with little to no use. I carried a DCF900 in my flatbed tow truck for a couple years (changed a lot of tires too) and it could go months without charging.
That's a great idea! Oh wait...I already carry a jumper box and a DeWalt inflator... Sheesh...before ya know it I'll need to abandon my Excursion for a step van!

I have the seesii. Mostly, it sits in my car as a good cheap emergency on the side of the road impact, but on the occasions, I need a compact, I have pulled it out and it does just fine.
I prefer a mid torque for an emergency impact, helping someone on the side of the road i find that their lug nuts can be like 400 ft-lbs worth of tight sometimes for some reason.
@TorqueTestChannel it is for my car, which I am the only one that will ever touch its lugnuts, so I am confident it will take them off. Although I do always have a four way just in case. When driving my f350 I alway have my trusty old Makita high torque.

The 16 year old apprentice at my buddys shop bought the Seesii torque a couple of years ago and it's been used nearly every day and the young lad has just bought the the newer version and the lads are quite surprised by its power for its very cheap price. Another great video lads.

I've been waiting for you guys to test the SeeSii WH500 1/2 compact! I bought it about 6 months ago after seeing your test on one of the other SeeSii units and I'm honestly glad I did! It isn't a monster by any means, but for the price it is really hard to beat if you are already using Makita! It does just about everything I need on a car outside of the big stuff like axle nuts and harmonic balancer bolts. Takes off lug nuts under a second each so I knew it wasn't a slouch though using a real Makita battery makes a very noticeable difference over the included 4AH one (which I capacity tested at a 4A draw to be a little over 3AH with a 3V per cell cut-off). Love what you guys do, keep it up!
Have that exact SeeSii, have been very pleased with not only the performance but the look and feel.
I bought that Seesii a couple months ago because of how the more compact Seesii's seemed to perform well on your channel and it was on sale for around $60 (with prime coupon). Glad to see it perform in this test. Dongcheng has some impacts that might be interesting to test on Amazon now since that DCK drill did quite well.

I wish there was a recommended database for these knockoffs. I've been experimenting myself. Some "tools" I now use almost everyday and they are awesome(heat guns, glue guns), some are e-waste (one-handed recip saw, worklights) and some are in-between (one-handed chainsaw, USB charger).
I've been hoping for this too but it's difficult to be certain of the manufacturers or their QC
I have had an Amazon heat gun for a while that uses M18 batteries that works a lot better than my genuine M18 heat gun. It has much better temperature and fan controls, and has a trigger lock, which makes it a winner with just that one feature.
I have tons of these tools, mostly for Milwaukee batteries. They work. Some are cheap but some are pretty good.

Is there a chance as you call your self the torque test channel to test the drill settings for torque, a chanel did one driving screws to depth using the torque adjustment the DeWalt was brutal sinking screws with no mercy where as others were almost dainty, allowing a real nice progression from 1 -12
I second testing the clutch settings' torque and consistency.
I love these lower class of tool comparison videos. My 1st gen SeeSii is still going strong since I bought it in 2022 after first seeing it dominating everything on your channel back then. I just rebuilt my entire engine from the crankshaft all the way up in 6 days using my SeeSii along the way. I still love it as I did since day one. I want the new mid torque model in this review. It looks nice.
I really like testing the Amazon knockoff testing. Like you said not everyone needs the red or yellow tax to get the job done. Honestly I have had good luck using the M18 with adapter on Ryobi tools for one off tools.
I’ve bought a couple of chiwanese tools designed to run on the DeWalt 20V batteries, which are not DeWalt. But, they are things DeWalt doesn’t make. The plastic welder tool which embeds heated metal staples into breaks in plastic body panels. Decent quality, good utility, and well worth the cost.
I doubt I would buy one which duplicates, a name brand tool.

Yeah, the Cerakose hot stapler is great. Try it with a Power stack if you haven't yet; mine is very fast with the 1.7Ah.
Stapler welders are good but they were invented for bumpers which are made out of thick plastic -so downside is you cant use them for thin plastic.
There is another way -you buy a cheap soldering iron that had exchangeable tip that is held by 2 screws,buy a 80- 100W version they are like 20$ top.Then you take a air conditioning copper pipe and beat one end with hammer.On other end i put a large nail inside and i slightly rounded the corners of pipe so it cant go out.I used nail for termal mass so that tip stays hot longer.You can weld plastic with it ,it will melt everything.
But now the magic part -use mosqueeto stainless steel mesh -It acts as a rebar in concrete.Cut the appropriate size and place it on plastic and then i use a my improvised welder to heat it and sink in the mesh and then you just smooth the surface.It will be stronger than before.
@@zumbazumba1 I bought mine to repair some cracks in the plastic fenders of my tractor. Worked well for that. I lined the front up, and tacked them into place with a drop of superglue, then inserted the staples from the back. Filled the front with a product made for auto body work, sanded and painted. Should have used a different color, because other parts of the tractor had faded, and I had to paint the whole thing.

I have several knockoff "makita" compatible battery tools, the glue gun being one (it's fuckin fantastic), in things where performance isn't high priority. Theyre kinda awesome. They fill a niche in my toolbox, and make my battery collection that much more useful. Flashlights, air blowers, etc

Interesting comment about the Powerstack. I was just using my DeWalt DCF900 today- just light stuff for a few minutes, with the smaller Powerstack...and the tool just went dead. I checked and found that I still had two bars....so I tried again, the impact then continued to do it's job without a problem- removing and tightening 8 lug nuts on my truck. I was worried that something may be wrong with the DCF900...but from your comment, I can deduce that these Powerstacks may be a little flukey. Yeah...I'd normally use a 5Ah XR battery, but I figured just for some quick light stuff..... (Worked fine other days).
I love finding these inexpensive off brand tools that work with the batteries I already own. If it’s infrequently use tool there’s nothing wrong with saving a few bucks 😎👍🏻
I think the real niche for brands like these is oddball tool types you don't use much. If you only need to use a framistat or ameroid comptometer once every two years, get it in one of these brands for whichever battery line you've invested in.
Great work y’all! Those weird not a high torque mid torque thingies (I propose we call them hid torque) were certainly interesting to watch. Any chance y’all are planning on running more pneumatic die grinders? Would love to see how AirCat and some of the tool truck brands stack up against Astro, HF, and the battery powered options. Maybe even throw in some of the random Amazon brands, seeing as HF did as well as they did in the previous testing.
The Ceesii has gone up by 17% over the price shown in your video, from $76 to $89. I don't know whether that is just inflation, or a sales boost from your positive text results.

My Seesii pole saw "takes" Makita batteries but it runs full speed the second the Makita battery clips in. Imagine my surprise the first time I did that. Otherwise the pole saw works great!
I bought that WH500 not too long ago because of your recommendation of the bigger impact of theirs and the fact that I'm on team blue right now, and I have to say I'm absolutely thrilled with the performance. Strangely they don't market it as a compact, which I was very pleasantly surprised about when I opened it up, and given its small size, I was even more pleasantly surprised with how much power it has. Right out the box I tried it on the super duty because I wanted it in the truck for road trips and it zipped those off like nothing. It was even able to take most of the lug nuts off of my forklift which rivals semi lugs for stubbornness. The ones it wouldn't touch needed my half inch air impact at a full compressor tank of 150 psi to budge them, and that still struggled to get them off. This thing is a monster for the price. And that price is especially insane considering that you get a battery with it that from Makita would cost you more than this whole kit. Granted it's not as nice as the Makita battery, but as you show here, it still stacks up pretty well.
Good thing nothing went smoking. Some tools are designed expecting weak batteries like in previous videos on the channel.

I have the seesii subcompact, highish mid torque, and the right angle impact and have never had a problem with any of them. Even after leaving one in my car during the entire winter.
I’m looking for some optional tools for Craftsman V20 batteries. I’d love a less expensive high torque or a better mid torque than what’s offered.

Those DIYToolz high torques are surprisingly good. It would be cool if you guys could test the makita version as well. Would be interesting to see how it does with the patented Beans battery. And also test them with knockoff amazon batteries, so that the combined priced of tool+knockoff battery could be included on the amazon impact charts.
You should add to your table the individual tool's "warranty" so that we can compare.
Imo warranty info is more important than the "honesty" score.
I bought a m18 compatible "Livonway" brand heat gun. Needed it for one project, it was $33, vs Milwaukee at near $200 (and the Milwaukee has alot of negative reviews) I've used the knock off gun quite a bit and it's still working well, I was expecting it to fail after one or 2 uses

Always like watching your vids. I think they convinced me to move on from my Earthquake XT 1/2 and 3/8 battery impacts and go to Hercules. A combination of the Hercules beating it in every category as well as HF ending production of the battery Earthquake XT line are huge. Only thing holding me back is they still work perfect, and I have other things to spend money on at the moment.
I recently found out they sell adapters for power tool batteries to fit the Dyson stick vacuums. I'd love to see you test a couple of them and see 1. if those adapters are any good 2. if there's any performance difference and 3. what kind of testing setup you'll come up with to measure the performance.
I know this is a weird request/suggestion, but I think it would be very edutaining.
I really enjoy the Amazon stuff videos, incredible how close they are to main brands now, the gloves are off! A shame nothing seems to go with my Ridgid batteries though! I wonder how many commentors who say they buy an amazon for "A tool thrown in the trunk of my car for roadside repairs" actually mean "the main tool I use for everything, but am ashamed of not forking out big $ for dewalt\makita\Milwaukee"

Now don't be too hasty. It's a pain but I don't leave my expensive tools in the van and have to load them in as and when I need them. I do however keep some cheaper tools onboard all the time so It won't be the end of the world if they get stolen. So, yeah there is good reason for buying the cheaper stuff sometimes.
So what do you y'all do with all the cheap amazon impacts after you're done filming?? Do you just return then all?

Unless you change tires a couple times a week that battery is unlikely to have any power left when you're changing a flat tire on a dark night in the rain. Don't get rid of the hand tool.

Wow! That “high torque” REALLY surprised me! Its about the same size as the DCF891 and almost as powerful! Awesome! I want to see makita update their 40v compact and mid torque impacts, hopefully make the GWT05 5.5” long, 380 ft-lbs and a bit lighter. I also want them to make the GWT08 more powerful, about 590-600ft-lbs.
I got the fx1472Z 1/2” and man I love it. Now this may be an unpopular opinion but With the 3.5ah stacked lithium it’s form factor and performance just makes it hard to beat for my needs and I actually returned my 2967 & the fx1472z is just a beast and it felt closer in power to me to the 2967 than the testing implies. particularly in reverse as the m18 does drive lags faster flat out but when it comes to breaking loose rusted fasteners the flex seemed to perform as well as anything (haven’t used the 961 or 964)
Honestly though with the flex’s advantages of carrying a lifetime warranty and as mentioned a carefully designed and seemingly very durably built tool. Not only that the 1472 has far far better ergonomics than the 2967, imo that has to do with the extendo feel of the 2967, which to me feels as if there is an additional 3/4” of grip left under my pinky on the bottom of the handle, also the flex is quieter and no high pitched super loud annoying noise of the 2967. I felt the 2967 was more or a wrist breaker than the 1472 imo as well.

Pretty interesting tool segment, but I feel it's a better option to get a good tool and cheap out on the battery than the other way around.
Parkside 4Ah batteries are $15 on sale now, so it might stock up on some and use the savings to get adapters.

I personally love that it is becoming common for these tools to use a major brands battery system. I am invested in several brands of battery because I prefer buying the right price/tier of tool to my needs for each tool instead of "well im in x brand so I guess I have to buy their overpriced version" lol. Tools like this solve that issue with the option for a cheaper tool on the same battery. Some time back I picked up a rotary tool that takes my bosch 12v batteries and is basically a third shift dremel that costs like $200, but I paid $35, I even ended up buying a second because I loved it so much. If I didn't already have an ok porter cable impact wrench I would totally pick up that seesii even though I don't have Makita batteries.
Uaoaii has a new 1300Nm $230 high torque impact wrench.
Found a 'Panana Aokaidun' Impact complete with accessories and a 6AH battery for £35 on Amazon UK. Even if this thing isn't great, that price makes it basically disposable and perfect for my rare DIY uses 😅

Cordless heat guns, glue guns, lights, and some other basic tools are all great examples of stuff that costs too much from the big brand or isn't available in reasonable formats. Love the option of cheap tools that use real batteries, but obviously some are gonna suck.
Is there a way that you guys can put together a video comparing different cordless worklights from manufactures like Milwaukee, rigid, dewalt, ryobi, etc? specifically the ones with the rotating head that use 18v/20v systems.

Please test the fsyao mid torque that uses Milwaukee batteries, they are currently on sale for $55. They look to be a clone of the Milwaukee gen 1 midtorque. I purchased one and took it apart. It seems to be on par with the gen 1 power wise, and the build quality is impressive especially at the low price point.
How about testing Rigid's 3/4" Hi torque? Maybe chainsaws too? I like tests on Ridgid since they have the lifetime service agreement.

Why I bought Bauer/HF stuff... Cheap way to have a impact and other tools in my cars. Last time I had a flat, I was back on the road in 11 minutes.
I was kinda shocked when my cheap Bauer stuff out preformed my not so cheap Bosch stuff.
I bought a knock off oscillating saws that uses Milwaukee battery. Was 41$. The on/off switch was not correctly supported so it usually didn't turn on. After fixing it's been pretty great

You need to get your hands on the Maximum 40v impact wrench plus the new 40v impact driver and hammer drill. They are sold at Canadian tire, which might be a issue for you guys, but would be nice to see those brands and their results
I bought a 1/2" impact called LAGATUNS with 850 NM. It comes in a simple case with one battery and one charger for $69 (with coupon makes ot $62)
I know its probably not getting anywhere close to 850 NM as a no-name brand but i decided if i wanted a true ~500NM i should aim for a no-name that advertised a good bit stronger.
Maybe you could test this one out too? I have full trust in your testing method

I would love to see you do some test on electric tool kits as a whole if possible. I know it would be alot more complicated and expensive tho.
Please do a test on the clutches on drill drivers. Some are working strangely.
I would be really interested in a follow up to see how these tools treat batteries when they get drained. And specifically if they will over discharge batteries or have some sort of low voltage protection. Given most name brands these days use some sort of communication between the tool and battery to do this. Which im sure these 3rd party tools are not able to do.
Also power stack batteries are just... weird. They seem to have some sort of buck/boost converter in them that can boost the voltage up about .5v as they start to drain. And then also if the battery is not happy it will buck it all the way down to about 12v. I use dewalt batteries for quite a few DIY devices because the batteries are normally just the cells, a couple of temp sensors and a power meter. (flexvolt are moe complex obviously but they dont seem to mind just having power pulled from them) But the PS ones just crack it and refuse to work until put back onto a dewalt tool or charger. Similar to what you found.
Another one for future video: Hilti SI-AT-22 Adaptive Torque Module for concrete anchors... how accurate is it? Rather than scanning an anchor box, could it be "fooled" and used to install lug nuts or fasteners to a desired torque?
Any chance of testing the seemingly new Worx impact? It's claiming 1400 breakaway and 1000 tightening for $280 with 5ah+charger.

Even though they might be cheaper, does not mean even if you already have the tool and battery, you might want them for a sacrificial tool. Like they can get close enough of what you are use too but you might take them on a job or with you in general and they might get messed up pretty bad like a sketchy building site where you might very likely drop them to their death. Also might have painting going on or possible chemical spray that could corrode or damage it. Even simply working on machines where its down right gunky and nasty as hell and you don't want that getting into your good tools.
Sometimes having that cheap back up to get something done until you can get a proper replacement will be worth getting one. More likely to mess up the drill than the battery unless the battery is a off brand replacement then its 50/50.
I would like to see a big box store tool shoot out. Ryobi, Flex, Kobalt, Craftsman, Porter Cable, etc.
