Yeah he was a great hunting dog. Wasn't gonna let anything happen to him for sure. Luckily the guy that runs em, keeps them in really good shape.
I’ve got a couple of those piscifuns. Cheap but pretty good reels. For $60, you can’t beat ‘em. I just started fishing like you, only out of a kayak. Very relaxing, and a lot cheaper than bass fishing.
Way cheaper than bass fishing, lures are outrageous these days. It's a rich mans sport for sure. Yeah the piscifun seem to be a pretty good reel. Wish it held more line but for the price, can't beat it. Glad I could be of inspiration man, key is to not give up.
@@JonBoatRiverCats I’m not giving up, even though my catch rate is really low. Been skunked twice, but watching you wait 4 hrs for a fish made me feel better. Lol.
This transition from summer to fall can be a tough bite. I've been skunked a couple times also. Just learn your waters and fish habits. You'll be slaying them in no time.

Yeah, he swam that river twice. If he followed that deer again back across, I don't know if he would have made it, but I would have stuck with him. And Thanks for sharing man, means a lot!

Coolest thing I've seen out there. I've been hunting with dogs, and had them run deer by me, but nothing like that.

Lmao. UNBELIEVABLE!!! If the deer is healthy though, he’ll never catch him.
The deer was very tired. When it got across, It barely had the strength to get up the bank. There was some stuff I edited out. Where the dog actually started biting the the deer in his hind parts. Like any wild animal that's the first target, easiest access to internal organs. Definitely was insane. They were both wore out after that. You could see the deer breathing really hard.

Haha I said the same thing been going there for 2 years, seen dogs and deer but never that kind of action. Made the slow morning bite more interesting. I guess someone was looking out for me, because after that the fish actually started committing to the bait.
