When your PS5 console is having issues connecting to your wifi, it can be due to a number of reasons. By power-cycling your PS5 console and internet router, adjusting the network settings, and using a wired connection, it will fix most of PS5 network connection issues!

Did everything in the video and it just won’t connect, it connects to my Wi-Fi but doesn’t get a connection and I don’t know what to do.

I am also having the same problem. My 5g three WiFi has been fine for months. Now all of a sudden ps5 don't like it. I really hope they fix the issue soon.
It just has an X over any wifi name and when I try to connect it just says something went wrong but all the other devices in my house works perfectly fine
So it seems I’m not the only one with this issue. It started yesterday for me. It kept kicking me off party chat and saying Nat type failed, then it was just not connecting or failed to connect.
After trying all these the one that seemed to work for me was the Frequency bands. I had mines set on 5 GHz. My router is in the living room still pretty close. But after switching it to 2.4 GHz it immediately connected and immediately started downloading my games and updates. Hope this helps!

If it isn’t working for you, forget the network. Choose your frequency based on his instructions before you retype in the password.

Also have this problem and nothing is fixing it. I have to make a internet test or turn it off and on. But the problem is never fixed forever. I don't understand why Playstation did not adress this yet. PS5 is just randomly shutting down the internet.
Since I did controller update a few days ago, my PS5 always disconnects with internet connection and PS network then I restart the ps5 and I can use the wifi like always but only for a few minutes and then the same again

After going through this video I was annoyed it still wasn’t working but saw a comment saying how theirs was fixed after changing from 5ghz to 2.5ghz because their Wi-Fi was in another room, I changed it and it finally worked

I know the problem make sure your WiFi is paid bc they can suspend your WiFi so it works on devices like phones and stuff but nothing big like tv’s or console so ask your parents if they paid it

Nothing in these videos seem to work, my internet has been fine until recently my ps5 connects then says failed and randomly works at times then doesn’t

Changing my DNS fixed it thanks man 🙏 also doubled my speeds so that’s pretty cool (especially cuz my wifi is kinda trash lol)

@@Krashoutkd954 yes an no pretty much the ps5 sometimes lock u out of your own internet connection so u have to call whoever u have an tell them to unlock it but it keeps happening soooooo idk

Yeah my ps5 went weird ,like the new at and t modems are weirdn my phone and even ps3 can connect to at and t wifi but my ps5 cant even somehow

My WiFi works perfectly on my phone I’m getting 950+mbps upload and download but it just won’t connect to my ps5 no matter what I do
I play with a Lan cable and randomly when I’m playing I keep getting disconnected from games because of WiFi but I can still talk to the people in the party and listen to my music it just disconnects me from the game

This just happened to me today. I logged on and it wouldn’t connect. I tried switching the frequencies to 2.4 and 5. Didn’t work. I then rebooted my router. Came back to my PlayStation, didn’t work. Finally, I restarted my PlayStation. When it turned back on, it reconnected to the wifi like normal.
It’s a weird issue and I’m not sure what caused it/fixed it, but I hope this helped

Okay I fixed mine by signing in the PlayStation app on my phone and going through privately settings and had to sighn in through there and it automatically worked I hope this helps
I have a question. I'm connect to the internet on my PS5 using ethernet . When I run a connection test I am seeing around 850mbs download and around 71mbs upload. I also have a XBox Series X connected ethernet and speed test on it shows around 850mbs download and around 740mbs upload. Why would the upload speed on the PS5 be so much lower?

Another problem that I had is if you time and date is set wrong for some reason that could effect and stop you being able to watch youtube and stop you from using the store

literally my wifi connects to everything, phones, tablets, even my switch but for some reason the ps5 disconnects in the middle of the night which is peak hermit hour for me on the game system. i’ve tried everything and it won’t connect, then in the day time it will work but specific apps will start lagging. i have my ps5 in the living room where the router is located at too

Is this to fix the issue where my PlayStation doesn’t connect when I start it? I have to turn internet off and on, on the ps5 and then test my internet connection and it works. It’s weird because my internet is fine and I have it connected via LAN. Didn’t have any issues until earlier this year. It’s more inconvenient since I still can get it to work.
