    Appreciate the videos👍🏼! Im on stoptech pads and rotor. Definitely better than stk. Brake dust on wheels and stopping by calculating the stop distance was frustrating with the stk ones lol. The fact this video took 3 months is mindblowing the camera work looks like you did it in one days section, now thats great editing on the content👍🏼💯🔥🔥🔥🔥!

    Just did rotors and pads all around on my 18 WRX. I did Power stop and they're super bitey and reasonably priced, a little under $400 for the set. Only been on the car for about a week but so far so good!

    How has the wear and sound been on the factionfab pads? I need new pads and I’m trying to decide between these or something expensive like EBC. My 2015 is a DD mostly but I do drive spirited occasionally. I’d prefer better stopping power while no squeaks

    This is a great video, the standard calipers are fine. But for myself I went with the bigger calipers with the performance pack. The 4 piston brembos make for a much better performing setup, I track my car and the brembo calipers allow for much larger pads. Still you can track the standard calipers but you will need to swap pads and fluid.

    • @AutoEnthusiast
      @AutoEnthusiast  2 роки тому

      100% worth it if you are tracking and doing a lot of heavy breaking. How much did the swap cost you?

    • @kcspeed9980
      @kcspeed9980 2 роки тому

      @@AutoEnthusiast the bremo breaks are on an optional package for the 2020 wrx, and possibly 21/22. it's the performance pack, Canada got its own, the straight-pipes UA-cam channel reviewed it. i found my 2020 in a dealership in north jersey. the package costs about 3k on top of the premium models standard price, the package only comes on the premium model. you get the sti seats, the winter package, the sunroof is deleted, and the bremo breaks from the 17 and older sti in red instead of black. the package cost is about the same as the parts for a brembo swap, if you go with all new parts, and there's no fussing with adapter brackets. it's why i searched for about 6 months for the car. well worth it.

    who makes FF's pads? I know they didn't make them, so are they rebranding another pad or did they spec the pad material? some companies are hush hush on their stuff

    Appreciate the video. I added Stoptech slotted rotors and pads a few years ago and removed them after a year. It wasn’t much of a difference and not worth it with the added noise. I ended up going back to stop. WRX stopping power is horrible on my 2014 WRX hatch. Amazing car, but weak brakes.

      did you go w/the street or sport pads? larger rotors help w/heat (can absorb more but also provides some better leverage). it is difficult to get/find high bite pads w/o byproducts of noise and/or dust so you might have to make a compromise somewhere. could the tires be a culprit too?

    I appreciate it! Your right about hawks squeak a lot. I would never buy it. I have stoptech now and stoptech rotors and there good daily with mild track. I haven’t tried faction fab and there probably a little more pricey than stoptech. Anyway I wanted to ask do you plan to keep the wrx while searching for that STI 👍🏼

      some 18s will fit, but it will be tight. not all 18s will clear. offset and spoke design are factors. look up fastwrx's awesome (5-spoke) , wicked awesome (5-spoke), and crucial (10-spoke) wheels.

    • @K03sport
      @K03sport Рік тому

      you can change pads at any time. you may need to scuff the rotor surface to remove the old pad material from the rotor face (green scotch pad on a drill, but not necessarily having the rotors turned which remove metal; but depends on rotor condition). if you are at a higher mileage, you can do both pads and rotors. are you doing the work yourself or do you have a trusted garage?
